I am one who stumbled upon this thread. As to the poster directly above me, who probably won't see this: I don't follow the logic of atheism being a religion. That's like saying not collecting stamps is a hobby, to me. I don't follow any specific beliefs out there, beyond the lack of belief in a higher power. That's all. Like the previous poster, I believe we all have good and bad within us, it's up to us to decide which we will choose. But unlike a number of the atheists I've seen online in various fora, I don't mock people for their religious beliefs. It's up to each of us to make that decision for ourselves. My daughters were all raised without a formalized religion, mainly because I saw the ultraconservative shift religion was taking here in the United States, and wanted no part of it. I let them discover those things that resonated within them, and find what they felt was right. So now I have two agnostics and one Lutheran-leaning-turned atheist in the family - and I love them all equally.

I'm so in - and a MFC GRANDMOTHER to boot! Now for the questions posed... a. where you are in the world Eastern Washington state, USA. b. how many kids you have (ages optional) Three, all girls: 29, 21 and 15. (My oldest is also a MFC MOTHER - laladallama.) c. (optional) any hints you have for successfully combining motherhood and MFC!!! I have no clue. Just remember to toss a piece of raw meat to the kids every now and then. Maybe a potato and some veggies if you want to be sure they're eating properly. Sorry, it's been a long time since I had to prepare meals for the household full of short people...

So, did anyone make it to Pride events where they live this year? Or was it just laladallama and me, with the Nathantor? Had a great day yesterday, hung out with Jesus and got to enjoy the company of many wonderful people. Once again in black and white, accented with crazy rainbow shamrock socks and a pair of glittery sneakers. Lots of pets got cuddles too, and lots of free hugs given and returned, as always. When someone young, teenaged, comes to get a free hug, sometimes I can tell they just need to know an adult out there accepts them as they are. It makes me wonder just how long it's been since they got that real, loving, no expectations hug of acceptance and approval. Happy Pride Month, y'all!

I haven't heard it yet (saving myself as much as possible for the CD experience), but just reading these lyrics hit me as hard as listening to Grace Kelly the first time. Like a hammer. I'll spare y'all as to why, but just WOW.

What I have to say, has already been said. This is an interesting perspective, one I've not read of any other artist's work. Thanks for the translation, it is MUCH appreciated in this little corner of cyberspace.
