  1. Aw thanks! Let's keep our fingers crossed!
  2. Thanks for posting these gorgeous photos! He's so tall and lovely... Hope he's having a great birthday!
  3. Happy birthday Mika!! xxx

  4. Yeah, maybe there should be a musical based around his songs, like We Will Rock You for Queen and Mamma Mia for ABBA. That would be amazing.
  5. Hi, welcome to MFC! Have fun here. That's so cool you got a selfie with Mika!
  6. I loved that film when I was little. Maybe Mika should write film music too!
  7. Agreed! Mika's style reminds me a bit of Elton's, their voices would blend good together.
  8. Thanks for the translation! This is such a lovely, well-written letter. What I don't understand is the prejudice some people have against those who are LGBT, or of a different race or culture, or those who are seen to be different in some way. And I know how this feels. The bit at the start, where he talked about being bullied as a teenager: that really hit me, because I also suffered from bullying when I was around 13 up until I was 16. I know how it feels to feel alone, isolated, scared. The feeling where you have to keep everything to yourself and hide away. But Mika has blossomed. He has shown his haters that he isn't scared, that he's able to confront them. I'm so proud of him for starting this campaign and for standing up for his beliefs. Well done Mika!
  9. Oh I love this pic! He is so sexy with stubble...
  10. Cher Lloyd is cool! I like her songs Want U Back and Really Don't Care with Demi Lovato.
  11. While I'm disgusted that this idiot has insulted Mika this way, I'm so proud of Mika's comeback against him. This is exactly the reason why Mika is my idol. He is proud to be himself and won't let haters bring him down. And he is right: no one should be discriminated because of their sexuality or background.
  12. I really hope so, but I have my doubts sometimes.
  13. My imagination is seriously warped so of course I've had lots of random crazy dreams. Needless to say, Mika has appeared in a lot of them. One of the weirdest ones was when I dreamt he came to see me at my old high school as it was my birthday and my friends had invited him for a surprise. I know he's really tall in real life, but in this dream he was SUPER tall. Like, he must have been at least eight foot. He started chatting to me and after a bit we ended up pottering about the school for a while. Near the end of the dream he said he'd enjoyed spending time with me and wanted to see me again. I think we were going to kiss but I woke up after that.
  14. I did a double take when I saw this. Mika looks so different here, it's unreal. Not so sure about the moustache. And is it me or does he have fake tattoos on his arms?
  15. I don't really know how Mika's management work, but I don't know if he actually has much of a say in where he tours. The record company probably just look at which countries he's doing best in and get him to do more shows there. He'd probably love to do more shows in countries he doesn't go to very often, but I think it's a matter of time, venue availability and whether or not he is doing well there. Plus, he can't tour all the time. He's only human, he needs a rest every now and then. But anyway, even gigs in small venues around the UK would be fantastic. Some of the best shows and concerts I've attended have actually been in smaller venues, some with as little as 300 seats. There's something quite atmospheric about an intimate atmosphere. Hope he's going to announce something proper for the UK soon. At least his appearance on Radio 2 is getting him noticed.
  16. How cute! Their fur looks so soft and silky. I bet they're spoiled rotten too!
  17. Hmm. Reading all your thoughts, it seems that none of us are that optimistic about more UK dates. Yet we all know that lots of people would appreciate them. I know the London gig will be fantastic and I can't wait to hear about it, but for some people it is a little far to travel (especially if they have work or live further north). Had the gig been on the Saturday, I could maybe have managed to travel down. But I have college on Mondays, so I would be in a terrible rush to get back on the Sunday night. I would love there to be even just a couple more dates for the UK, even if it turned out I couldn't go to them either. It would give lots of people around the UK a chance to see Mika. There are plenty of small venues he could do, and he could go to the other major cities like Manchester, Newcastle and Glasgow. (Of course if he did a Glasgow date, I would go if at all possible! It is my ambition to see him live.)
  18. Totally in love with the new music video!

  19. Deal! Maybe I'll start a new thread for my petition. Although, even if I make one, I'm not sure that it'll make that big a difference. PS: I'm loving your sig pic! Mika looks kinda naughty there...
  20. Me too, and I really hope he releases an English version. I've always loved reading celebrity autobiographies, but I bet Mika's life would be particularly fascinating to read about.
  21. Pretty much every UK artist comes to Scotland to promote their music; we get people like One Direction and Take That. We also get American artists such as Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande. Basically, we get everybody except Mika, which I find a bit unfair. The really famous artists tend to use the Hydro Arena for their concerts (that's the biggest arena in Glasgow, with nearly 14,000 seats). However, I don't think Mika would go there because he's not as well known here as he used to be. I know he did a show in Edinburgh in around 2010 but that was before I'd heard of him. But I know there are a lot of other Scottish people who would love to see him here again. The London gig is great for those who can attend, and I'm looking forward to reading gig reports. But I'm seriously considering starting a petition for more UK dates. I know a lot of people would appreciate them.
  22. My singing definitely will. I sound like a dying cat! So true! Whereas many artists usually stick to one genre of music in their career, Mika's style seems to change as he brings out new music. This is quite rare in the music industry. Mostly I listen to Mika's happy sounding songs, like Grace Kelly, when I'm feeling cheerful or excited. I always listen to Popular Song when I feel a bit insecure (because it has a good message). And then there are some songs like Over My Shoulder and Hurts that I listen to when I'm a bit down. But I still can't pick a favourite album because they're all so good!
