    He often describes himself as a citizen of the world! 😁 and could probably live just about anywhere. His known houses are in Miami, Tuscany and London.     I really should keep an eye on this thread more often. I love that we have so many talented singers and performers within the Mika fandom! I've never really sang publicly by my own choice infront of an audience, in the past it's always been as part of a school choir and back then there was no way I would dare offer to do a solo. I'm just not confident enough. Yet I do like singing and I don't think I'm bad at it or have a bad singing voice (my Mum is of course biased and says I sing well 😅), I would love to do a Mika cover or even something by First Aid Kit (another favourite of mine ❤) but it's my confidence holding me back. For the people here that have shared their singing, do you have any tips on not being so shy and boosting confidence? I thought maybe joining a project might help, I was reading your idea @CharlotteL about creating a fan choir with a Mika song. Is this still something you're wanting to do? I'd also love to hear more of Mika's French songs in English. A few on his new album could definitely work, AC could be a mix of French/English and C'est la Vie too, I'd love to give those a go. Maybe an idea for a future fan project too!? 🤔

    Travel and accommodation is booked and knowing I'll be seeing Mika in 3 weeks is starting to feel a little more real! 😁 Concert outfit is also sorted, but guys I have this lovely piano scarf I got for my birthday last year (yes, blame the Keep it Simple mv!), do I wear it or is it too on the nose for this event?! 😆 I will however have a rather special badge on my jacket on one side and also a little rose flower brooch on the other side too. I saw @Anna Ko Kolkowska idea about wearing large flowers for Mika's tour, I'm not seeing him on the AC tour so this will be my own little nod to feel like I'm still taking part! 😊

    Just to make everyone aware that the day before the concert (April 20th), that there is a Manchester United game happening, anyone coming on that day bare in mind that public transport may be busier than usual as football fans head to Old Trafford. It's likely there'll be more taxis around (especially to and from stations) but you might have to wait a little longer for them too. Big football matches allays attract large crowds so I thought it best to let you all know!

    You can't ignore a thread. The only option would be to not follow a particular thread that you're not bothered about and double check that you don't have notifications turned on for it either. (Sorry for quoting you into this Hero, I know you've left the discussion, you don't have to reply back if you don't want). Older threads that haven't been active for a long time eventually get "pushed" way back down amongst the topic pages and in affect are ignored by members anyway because they're no longer prominent at the top of a page. I agree with Hero's statement in regards to avoiding certain threads. It's really no different to social media. When you're busy scrolling and you see something you don't like, you can easily choose to ignore it and move on. You can also report and block. You don't have to read every post simply because it happens to be there. It's the same here on MFC, if there's something you're not interested in don't follow it. If there's something genuinely concerning then we do have the report function (and I assure you all reports get looked into), anything too over the top or extremely offensive it's best to contact a mod and so discussions can be done privately. You say deleting is easy and takes just a minute. Yes it is, but here it's also not. Once something is deleted on MFC it is gone for good and the data is unrecoverable. I can understand that in some instances this is the right thing to do but on the other hand there might be information in a thread that might just be needed. I may have a solution to this. Threads can be hidden by mods and once they're hidden members can no longer see them within the topic sections or search for them. Mods can still see hidden threads, so just in case there is something a member is looking for but can't find it and is wondering "is this hidden?" they could still contact a mod to answer any questions they have. There is also the option of archiving threads and closing them to further replies. Archived threads can still be open too but they won't appear in search results are often harder to find anyway. I think Roz may be referring to older threads/posts, there's definitely some rather controversial topics between 2007-2010 that I've come across. I don't think it would be too much of a shame if those did get deleted. This is definitely a discussion the Mod team will have!

    I finished watching Gotham. The whole Ra's al Ghul story arc made it a bit weird and the final episode was slightly anti climatic (and left a lot of things unanswered!) but overall I enjoyed it! While Mum decides whether to get a Prime or Disney+ subscription we are now re-watching His Dark Materials. Third time for me, because apparently I like getting my heart broken 🙃

    Lang Lang was a guest on the UK TV show 'This Morning' today. He didn't talk too much about The Piano (he was mainly promoting his new album) but did mention that series 2 would be just as heartwarming as the first series. Sadly Mika's name never got mentioned! But Happy Ending could be heard as background music at one point!

    There are some fans out there that don't seem to show any respect for an artist when they see them coming out after a show. All they see is the "idol" and not the human being that just spent the last few hours entertaining them. I don't understand it either when some fans go a bit over board and do start acting like animals to get to Mika. I've seen videos of it happening before, both during and after a concert. People seem to want to touch him or hug him at the most inappropriate times and I'm sure Mika must get annoyed when this happens. Hopefully at The Piano concert this won't happen. I have a feeling entering and leaving the venue will be quite calm
