  1. Yeah like that! There is mustardoil in there to make it spicy, otherwise it looks like a regular jam.
  2. Self made banana bread, pear mustard, Elsässer Winzerkäse, St Agur Edelpilz Käse and Epoisses
  3. The organizer (Trinity Music) has written it on their official website. But yes, it’s better to wait for official confirmation. You’re right.
  4. This is amazing! This venue has a capacity of 3500 instead of the 1600 at Huxley’s!!
  5. He was eating Mikado’s yesterday between recordings. I think he overdid it.
  6. Hello from Paris! Yesterday it took a little while for Mika to come out after the recording of The Voice. This is never a problem, because we then have time to chat with our friends. It was at midnight that we were still there, the song loudly blasting on the car speakers…and with around 15 fans we were dancing in the rain to Jane Birkin. Mika came out right after and said hi before he quickly drove off into the night. I love the song!!
  7. I absolutely loved how respectful the Korean and Japanese fans were: lining up and awaiting their turn. No shouting over eachother and he took his time to go along the line. Wish it was like that everywhere.
  8. The beginning sounds a bit like the melody of Apocalypse Calypso, before he starts singing.
  9. New excellent and recent reference pictures for me, yay! I usually use pictures where his eyes are just two pixels, this is perfect.
  10. The Chabicou is a mild goat cheese. The Mont D’Or should actually be served warmer like the Epoisses, but on a cheeseplate like this it’s not possible, because they will both be too runny. It is actually a lot milder than the Epoisses. The Tiroler Bergkäse is a hard cheese. Cheeseplates are usually served in order from mild to strong, so that’s also how I enjoyed them. I personally don’t like the toasted bread with it, so I didn’t eat it. But the fig spread! Ah! Perfect!
  11. Left to right; Chabicou Mont d’or Tiroler Bergkäse (Tirol Mountaincheese) Saint-Flour Epoisses!!!! I love the Saint-Flour (the blue cheese) best, but that’s just what I like best tastewise. I LOOOOVE strong cheeses. However, the Epoisses was a very close second. I wonder if it would’ve been served at the appropriate temperature (warmer than it was now), if my rating would change. I will just have to try again
  12. Only been here for a short while but nope, not wondering, actually quite as expected
  13. Ok this is an excellent idea!!! Would it be a good idea to link this QR code to a separate thread on the forum (one without replies), just the lyrics plus translation? What do you think, @dcdeb?
  14. I also think this is the most likely scenario. The only thing that I hope won’t happen is for people to express themselves negatively for him singing French in a non-francophone country. I personally think the crowd has grown more tolerant and aware of his discography, so let’s just assume the most positive and most likely scenario and that’s people will absolutely adore him even more after the show. I think we can all agree he is absolutely amazing live, you don’t have to be a fan to see that! (Though we are a bit biased, of course, but just a bit ) Maybe he will tell us more about the songs and their background stories during the tour. No matter what language he sings in, I really love those moments.
  15. Aww don’t worry, I didn’t know how to pronounce “Worcester” for the first two decades of my life!
  16. Food? Someone said food?! (No I’m not a foodie, what makes you think that )
  17. I love reading your ramblings! All ramblings really, that’s why this forum is so great to exchange and put our own perspective to it. Something that is genuinely valuable or make to look expensive - I can totally see that and that’s actually very interesting: because whatever it is, in the mass of things. You just get blinded by the shininess. The way I interpret it is that he leaves the room because he got bored with it. It’s nice to dance around shiny things, but it’s not there to stay - only when the light shines on it. Oh I like this ending much more. I just watched it again and yes, it’s more open and not definite. Maybe he is just snoozing
  18. This is a very interesting interpretation. I agree with the feeling you get seeing the “army of Mika’s” (can you imagine? One Mika is truly more than enough!!), that he needs to conform. However, given todays society and the demands that are being made - especially with people from the entertainment industry - you need to be everywhere at once, be amazing always and consistently delivering….otherwise you’re out. You can only do that if you clone yourself. I also agree with him portraying a falling angel there. He is succumbing to the weight of expectations, demands and hopes from everything and everyone. From family to friends to the record company to promoting companies and also fans from all over the world. The more I think about it. He starts off with just him and the piano. His fabulous pink suit and a piano with wings: he is free to move and create. There is nothing around him, just emptiness and it’s just him and his own energy. Then comes the scene with him as a tin man like discoball, being created into a shining popstar. He then enters the darkness. He is still creating behind his piano, but in the meantime he is being molded more during the scene with the paper mache and the man painting his face. His movements are more restricted but he tries to still move around and break free. His spirit still very much there. Then comes all the gold and all the shiny things. He is being pulled into a small hole and sits alone on the golden couch with golden things around him. He is being rewarded with materialism, but he is dancing alone. Then it switches between all scenes and the car with fire is introduced, the army of Mika’s is introduced and it’s all fabulous and amazing and fast and great. Then there is a scene with Job and later with Job and his wife. They are there and spectators. Mika sat with Job without all fabulousness. Like a quiet place that he can trust. In the ends he succumbs under the world. Very glittery. But he succumbs.
  19. I’ve just read @tiibet’s Facebook post and she mentioned that Mika being surrounded by golden things symbolizes materialism to her (if I’m saying this wrong, please correct me, Nina!). Surrounding himself with expensive looking things, enjoying it in a way, but in the end also walking away from it at the end of the video. I actually tend to agree with her. The worth of life is not in materialism, in the end is love - what the song is ultimately about, even though it gets quite physical. Which totally reminded me of this song: (AND I WAS TODAY YEARS OLD TO REALIZE IT IS DEFINITELY NOT ABOUT EXERCISING!!!!!!)
