babspanky
Impressive! And even then I probably couldn't tell one from another. They really shouldn't all wear the same thing. Give them a special color each. I don't think you're seeing things.. Never underestimate a Mika. He might pay attention. However, those K girls will probably stay in the WTF category as far as I'm concerned. I don't have to be smitten with everything Mika likes. God no! In fact I don't think I have much in common with him as a lot of the stuff he's interested in I either find puerile, I don't understand, or am just not interested in. We are related though. sariflor
Yeah, that's an idea; We had a band called Parchis when I was a youngster, and each member had their own colour in which they always dressed.....In fact let me see if I can find them on YT.... OMG I found them! HAHA They are terrible I can't believe that I was a fan, and the first cassette that I EVER bought when I was around 8 was theirs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nxjlrd0V68U

OMG the fact that you have to ask that is not a good sign, is it 2 girls (long haired one + the one in green) and the rest are boys. I liked the dark haired one in red

Girl poweeerrrrrrrrr:mf_rosetinted: Yeah, ahem...I was a bit older for that era, but I still caught it as well And the New Kids On The Block....in fact I was shocked to see that they are back touring now I remember the one guy's bare chested dungarees as if it was yesterday, ahhaha. It's ok, I was one of them too And in fact, when I bought that first cassette I was living in Argentina, so go figure, I was right in the middle of the whole hipe! And I can see why everyone wanted to be Yolanda and Tino: they were the clear sex symbols of the group. All the boys liked Yolanda and the girls liked Tino Btw did you hear that he lost an arm a few years ago in an accident? Terrible.

Blue Sky
So, I am back from West japan to connect to MFC again. How stupid the hotel connection would give me skpye and email but not internet or tweetdeck. I confess I had never heard of AKB 48 until Mika's tweet. Even my husband has only heard of them by name. Then when I got home tonight, I picked up the paper, and found a pic of AKB48 and the fact that 16 of them played a gig in Paris last night at Japan expo!! Paris and Japan simultaneously....oh, seems they have subgroups and groups and units and .... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nt7uwWI1acI And in Japanese I found this website reporting Mika's visit with Utada Hikaru. I can only say, it seems that the AKB48 fans are as fast (if not faster) at posting stuff as we are :roftl: And there are PAGES AND PAGES of posts about every show, and vids and pics and everything. http://www.stage48.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=256&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=1480&sid=bf9426b5755d731db53287b847f61154 (below is not my research, it is AKB48 fans spy work, I just used Control C) British singer MIKA and Queen of J-R&B Utada Hikaru watched Team Kenkyuusei stage in AKB48 Theater on 07/04 AKB48劇場に宇多田ヒカルが来た、まさかの大物来場にファンも騒然。 http://narinari.com/Nd/20090711903.html MIKA on Twitter - LONG LIVE AKB48! http://twitter.com/mikasounds Twitter Photo: http://twitpic.com/99qrm http://twitpic.com/99rd1 Utada's blog http://blog.utada2.net/?p=1593 Memolist's blog on Utada's visit but didn't recognize the foreigner was MIKA http://akb48.blog48.fc2.com/blog-entry-2350.html Edited July 5, 2009 by Blue Sky
