I don't know what he had been eating before shooting the video. I'm not a friend of his. I think he doesn't even know I was next to him last Friday. I can only rely on what he said days ago on the radio. Perhaps he was lying. He said that he'd been starving himself in the italian radio, yes, which is why I keep saying that I don't care what he said, he may have been winding the audience up, or joking, or he may have just found it interesting to say that, but I am going by what I can observe rather than what he says . Thanks!!! I'm gonna try and get the whole iTunes programme recorded - only trouble is I'm leaving at about 4 and I can't set up a recording in advance. Plus it records in TS format so I'm not sure if my editing software will be able to chop down the 4 hours of rubbish before. I like that a lot of MFCers are pointing out not only things they have given Mika but anything that relates to other vids etc. I thought when members here first noticed some of their items that they would start a new thread dedicated to all the things they noticed in his room - especially after Nono ( I hope that is the correct name ) posted the slow motion vid. Firstly, I think the "starving"bit is an overstatement --a little drama--if you will. Secondly, tell the truth, if YOU were dancing in a video, in those few clothes, for an audience of a bazillion viewers, wouldn't YOU eat a little lighter beforehand? Edited July 30, 2009 by A. I mean unless people are saying that Mika never comes across as camp or that he's normally incredibly cool or composed or vain or whatever, then I don't see how this is ironic? But like I said maybe I'm misunderstanding the use of the word because Canadians don't generally use "irony" to describe humour. Well I remember my English teacher trying to convince us that irony didn't absolutely always have to be funny, but it not often used otherwise in England. Often for humour with a purpose- but that's still humour. forevermika Posted July 30, 2009 Share Posted July 30, 2009 Two things I'd like to say about this video: 1. I really didn't like it. I thought that the video should be as epic as the song. 2. This whole thing is serious deja-vous for me. Last year, Ben Folds put out his "Way to Normal" album. But before it was released, it was leaked to a fan site. Turns out that they were fake versions of the songs that Ben recorded as a joke on his fans. I know this is a huge stretch, but since I didn't like the video I'm kinda hoping that Mika pulled a joke on us by secretly leaking a 'fake' We Are Golden video before we get the real one on Friday. Ok, now that the idea is out of my head and in words its an even bigger stretch. I'll go watch it again to see if I like it more:wink2: EDIT: I'm watching it now and I do like it more, but still hoping that this is a light-hearted joke. First time I watched it, I didn't like it, second time, I didn't not like it, third time time I loved it! now Youtube gives me a message that says this video is not available in your country. not. cool.
