I think I have finally come to terms with the relative lack of chart success of TBWKTM and the singles.

I found bearing the following things in mind helped me on my rocky road to enlightenment:

a) "The charts" are an outdated and obsolete load of old rubbish now.:teehee:

b) Singles are a bit of a waste of time..especially physical ones :wink2:

c) The British record-buying public has, in general, no musical taste :mf_rosetinted:, and

d) Mika is just too good and too talented for most mere mortals to understand. :mf_rosetinted:

Well it works for me! :aah:

The Billboard charts lists Rain at #39 in the European Hot 100 Chart.

Tha Apple Itunes Chart list LICM at #6 in Portugal.

That is it folks.

I am now counting on new interest in TBWKTM with Mika's Imaginarium Tour & wide international interest in the Kick-Ass song.

I have my fingers crossed.

The album's number 1, "Gave It All Away" has gone down to number 20 I think...

Hmmm maybe my glass is half empty after all

kick ass will kick ass .. movie and the publicty that goes it always helps :biggrin2:

Can you do a kick ass combo? pepsi , popcorn and the single for a fiver? possible :aah:

We have these things called a Film Feast which is a bag of sweet popcorn, a pot of sweets, a drink and a free gift but it's aimed at children...and Kick Ass will be a 15 so I reckon there won't be promo there...

They only did T-Shirts and posters at my cinema when MJ came out...doubt they'll do that for Kick Ass :aah:

BUT when a musical comes out we do sometimes sell the music...like Mamma Mia, MJ...we even did The Boat That Rocked...I'm not sure  And the price is quite high LOLZ.

Here are the latest results from Billboard.

Rain is #49 on the European Hot 100 Chart.

TBWKTM is #70 on the European Albums Chart.

LICM is #5 in Portugal on the Apple Itunes Chart.

I am still looking forward to seeing TBWKTM start to climb the charts as The Imaginarium Tour travels through Europe then hits the rest of the world.

Go Mika!!

  • 2 weeks later...

I just checked the latest French charts as every Friday and TBWKTM is n°8, that's 14 places gained from last week! :thumb_yello:

I think BIOTG is having its little effect on French people :wink2:

The 'Rain era' is not totally over here though, it's still n°25.

Can I say I'm happy to be French? :blush-anim-cl:

It seems the French understand what good music is, unlike us Brits!

Unlike us English speaking Canadians too!

Our French speaking Canadians still get it.:thumb_yello:
