I think several people wrote entire essays on that after Ava Garter performed at the not-so-secret LA gig. To recap: He puts adult words to childlike music but nothing about Mika is kiddie: Parents will probaly like Drinky as much as the lyrics "Sucking too hard on your lollipop" and "I tried to be like Grace Kelly" (from a guy) and the whole Carolina verse in Love Today. Besides that, what about all the My Little Pony characters? I will tell you now that there ain't nothing sweet and innocent about their names! A favourite game of mine and some friends is "Pony or pornstar" where they say a name and you have to guess weather it's my little pony or a pornstar. MUCH harder than you'd think Tellitubbies? Does Dipsy sound a bit like a mix of ditsy and tipsy? Like drunk and dumb? and lala sounds a bit stoned with a name like lala land and tinky winky speaks for himself Sweetheart, as you can see I've been a Mika fan since 2007, no need to tell me that Mika is not for kids. I don't think I'm exaggerating about the names at all. Kids don't know about that sort of thing because their minds arn't corrupted yet. If you're going to say drinky's not a name parents will approve of then clearly someone's going to say something about Mika not being for kids. As I said, I don't think the Mubbins ARE kids characters seeing as we're focusing on adolescence and that if it were made a book then I think it'd be a collecter's item more than a kids book. Yes I agree with that. In one sense the characters seem to be like Care Bears or Teletubbies, but they are teenagers, not small children. Teenagers experiment with substances (some do, not all) and go through the adolescent thing of trying to find their identities. I've got pictures of the charms but no good ones of the necklace, but I just put them on different strings, so nothing fancy. Also, there are no Mubbinas, because she broke, multiple times, but I'm definitly going to make more and try again. Maybe a face on Narco and Astor with his hat as well. Astor, Drinky, and Narco. The first three went on separate necklaces and then the last three I put on a necklace for Mika. I wish I had seen this thread before! (That sounds like I want a narcoleptic toy ) But I can't make anything... I KNOW! I'll dye a sock purple and stuff it (... *ahem*) with cotton! Then I'll just add little legs and arms and then... TADAHHHH!!!! NARCO! That's so beyond my abilities... But I am planning to get a blank white bookcase and draw characters on it, since I couldn't get this really nice cartoon-style one. I'll probably draw the Mubbins on them... They're so cute... And cool. (I like to use them to describe my moods to my friends. They just laugh...) I dunno, it depends if my mum will let me get a bookcase. She seems to just find the idea funny at the moment. She THINKS I'm joking, the poor thing. Now I'm off to find a purple sock. If I remember correctly, he said radio stations in the U.S. wouldn't play his songs because they were too weird and they also had a problem with him singing about trying to be like GC. I mean, all the people I ever looked up to were guys but in no way do I actually want to be a guy. By the way I love Astor and Drinky. They are so cute!
