mellody
Funny, I didn't read it like that, more like the other way around Ha! If I was really trying to avoid fans from stalking me, I would not want to give anyone any ideas by tweeting such things. there you have it, some ppl understand it as hints, others don't, and no one knows what mika really means. i had been wondering about the jonas brothers tweet as well, whether it was "why do they get that and i don't?" or "those jonas brothers fans are such annoying stalkers!". or maybe he just found it funny and wanted to comment on it. some understand his "am boarding the plane" tweets as hints to meet him at the airport, others don't. me personally, i'm a very direct person and have a hard time understanding hints, especially from someone i don't know. so if i'm unsure, i won't understand it as a hint - in either way. i won't understand his plane tweets as a hint to go to the airport, but i also wouldn't have understood the hint that you mentioned suzy, about him wanting to get some rest for the letterman show. ok maybe i would've understood it in the context - late evening, his face expression... whether he's generally chatty with the fans or not. but i'm trying not to interpret too much. edit: just saw debs post, yup, just my point. Kodes100
But that's just it, isn't it? It's all open interpretation. We really DON'T knowwhat Mika is thinking unless he comes right out and says it. I think it's really a moot point for us to argue over whether he likes this or that, or wants this or that... we don't really know until he says. I'm not going to lecture anyone on how to behave -- if Mika really felt strongly enough one way or the other, he'd either say something himself, or he'd have his people tell us, so that we could convey it to the "masses." I think what you are saying Deb makes a lot of sense. I think All of US should be respectful, kind, considerate & polite when meeting & greeting Mika no matter where he is. Nobody else speaks for Mika but Mika! Everything expressed here is just someone's opinion. Have good manners! Be considerate. Be kind! You will be fine. Trust in yourselves or you might miss out on a "moment of a lifetime." One of my "moments of a lifetime" just so happened to be at an airport with The Beatles! I wouldn't have missed that for anything. BTW the Beatles were NOT upset! But Hey - that's me! You do what you know is right for you!
Blue Sky
It is common practice in Asian countries to go to the airport for popstars. It is not what I want to do, but that is what happens. I am about to make a report thread for the Korean fans, but you know, so far this is the only Korean thread we have ever had, and I honestly don't think it is very welcoming for long termers to be criticising new fans for meeting Mika at airports on here. I know you only care about Mika's well-being, but we are trying to get more local fans onto MFC, so if we need an airport discussion thread, please feel free to make one. This is the KOREAN thread. We really DON'T knowwhat Mika is thinking unless he comes right out and says it. But in Montreal he literally really did come right out and tell me that he was tired and he wanted to rest up for David Letterman. I know. I know. This is the KOREAN thread. tomomi
Blue Sky I gave Mika a copy of snoozer. He was like 'how do you know I've wanted this?' It's a shame I could't ask him about surprise in Tokyo thingy. I only could say 'see you in Tokyo'
huikings
oh u guys are talking abt the airport thingy! i am sori if this make u feel bad.... actually i only came up with the idea of meeting him in the airport aft i read reports from Mexican fans coz they thrilled me! and i hadn't thiought abt the boy's willingness in such occasion. i am reli sori!! Personally got better things to be doing with my time, than hanging around airports, waiting for him to get off a plane.Unless it coincides with me doing a job there at the time, and then it'd be just me waving at him, while I'm driving off (only allowed 20 minutes to load/offload in front of the terminal). And reading Huikings report from HK, it sounded like he'd rather have just got off the plane and into the car, as he was really tired. yes, he was damn exhausted when we saw him. (except when he saw the Snoozer mag:aah:) and i duuno if this was a reason why i didn't feel reli great that nite....... i juz kept wondering if this's made him feel bad in Hong Kong (hopefully not!) as some of u mentioned before, it's VERY COMMON for ppl to receive stars at the airport. for Taiwanese/Korean stars, they even followed them to the airport and rent a car to stalk them. TERRIBLE. and a frd of mine had actually told me that her frd, who is nota MFCer but likes mika, managed to meet mika again when he left HK!!! (how the hell she knew his itinerary?) but since mika didn't wanna tell when he's gonna leave when i asked him, i nvr had the idea of going to the airport again. once again, i feel sori if we'd done anything appropriate. but plz believe me, we behaved well whenever we saw him! xxx Edited November 29, 2009 by huikings
Suzy
once again, i feel sori if we'd done anything appropriate. but plz believe me, we behaved well whenever we saw him! xxx Aww..don't feel bad. I know how a little about how you feel. It's sad when you try to share your excitement of a Mika experience and people tarnish it with comments that should just be left unsaid. I was just talking about this the other day with other MFCers and how its ridiculous that people have to think twice about whether or not to share an awesome experience because other might get jealous or think you got some privileged information. Yes, Mika was tired, but it doesn't mean he didn't appreciate you being there. Sounds to me like he was glad you came and that you brought along the Snoozer magazine.
