It's between Paris and Montreal, somewhere over the Atlantic that i've decided to begin my report....My heart and my head, full of great memories of this beautiful city. :wub2:

At the end of the summer and after the wonderful show in St-Jean, i really really wanted to see Mika again and SOON. I started to think about the next shows to come and thought that Paris could be very special and mostly a great occasion to CELEBRATE my weeding anniversary with my husband. I never went to Paris before and it was a dream for me....

PARIS + MIKA + husband = :fangurl::fangurl::fangurl:

I didn't expected to much that my crazy idea should be accepted by honey but....he said: OK, if you can get tickets and if my mom is agree to take care of our kids (9 years and twins 6 years), i'm in!!!!! :dance_man:

We arrived in Paris friday morning and pasted a wonderful time to discover the city until monday. We even take time to visit Versailles. I found french people really nice with us. In metro, men offered me to lift my suitcase in the stairs several occasions..... :thumb_yello:

The day of the concert, we had to pick up our tickets at the Casino and decided to be there around 13 pm. Several people was already there even somes since 6 am..... Finally i got a number #48.

Sweetieval asked me, before departure, to get a canadian flag to recognise me in the street.:canada:

So easily, i found her and get introduced to macboll, mikabéa, lady stardust and some others french fans. It was for me a pleasure to recognise several of MFC'ers. My husband, who isn't a big Mika fan, didn't want to spend all the day in the queue, so he left me there and decided to expore Montmatre aera.

With a little group of fans, i finally decided to go for lunch in a cafe. Thanks to macboll for the coffee! :huglove:

The doors finally opens around 19.30 pm and the numbers system didn't work, so people got inside in a disorganised way...what a mess!!!

The venue was a awesome place with red carpet and golden chandeliers....

I got a place in third or fourth row just dehind a young lady shorter then me....I can see Mika really well. Closer then St-Jean. Sweetieval was beside me and took beautiful pictures...Thanks to her!

During the gig, i was thinking a lot about all my MFC'ers friends from Canada (and Deb or course....!) and about specially my young sister anne-marie23 who really would like to be there with me. The gig was great, Mika was funny and it was a pleasure to listen to him speeking french. He looks at me a few times...

Contact eyes...:swoon:

The french songs was so great, specially Karen who sounds so PARIS for my canadian ears. Rue des Martyrs was not so far from us....

My husband was several rows dehind us and makes some videos. We didn't bring the bigger zoom, so Mika is a little far. (I will see later if i'm able to put some here).

Patrick (it's his name) had A REALLY GOOD TIME AND FOUND THE GIG GREAT!!!!!! :teehee::teehee::teehee: I think that he was touched by the sincerity of the man.

The crowd, Mika and the music between. No more needed.

At the end, we decided to wait for Mika because i really would like to get my disc booklet signed. We were all frozen, with back and legs tired but really patients....

Even my husband (??????????)

Mika finally arrived two hours later and took time to give autographs and speak with people there. His hair was really curly and i was so awesome in his tweed jacket. :wub2:

I got my booklet signed and was so happy! :thumb_yello:

At about 2 am, sweetieval and macboll offered to drive us to our hotel. :huglove: Thanks again girls!

That's it! And i'm pretty sure that Mika have a new fan now but....

Chut! C'est un secret!!!!:wink2:

As I spent the show (and the whole day) with Sweetieval and Cathblais( :huglove: for you, girls) who've already made their reports, I have nothing more to add: I agree with all that was said :thumb_yello: but I will post a few pictures very soon... promised! It was a pleasure to meet Cath and her husband, and a pleasure to see fans I already knew again. Mika+people I like= best combination ever. I ended up row 2/3, in the middle and was glad my body was still in one piece when I managed to reach the stage (people were pushing me so hard in the back, I had a few bruises and thought I would turn into a mashed potato), it was a very good spot though (worth a few bruises).

Stardust, Toyboy, Karen, Un soleil mal luné were :wub2:

Those two days were magical to say the least! I know it kinda goes without saying but I just have to repeat that being in the choir is a super amazing experience!!! How can we thank Mika enough for giving the fans an opportunity like this to be part of the show:wub2::wub2:

So I guess it's time that I started writing my report. Here is the first part:

Everything started last week when I saw a tweet saying something like "OMG I'm in the choir for Paris". That meant the emails had been sent, that meant it was time to find out whether I was going to be in the choir. You can imagine how nervous I was when I went to check my emails and of course you can imagine how happy I felt when I saw a new message with the title Mika Choir Paris.

Fast forward a few days and on Monday afternoon I was outside Casino de Paris super excited and nervously waiting to get inside. First I talked to some friends (Nina, Marion and Bianca it was great seeing you and hope to meet you again very soon) and then went to join the other choir members. We were let in at exactly 4pm and then we were given our passes etc. Then it was time for the first rehearsal with the band. They were all really nice and Tim was explaining to us exactly which parts of the songs the choir is singing.

After we had rehearsed all the songs they told us that there was a possibility that the choir would sing on Karen too and they started joking that they expected us to teach them this song since they dont speak French.

Right after that we were told to go downstairs for the soundcheck with Mika. How surreal (in the best way possible) and amazing that was!! He gave us some singing tips like explaining that we should really sing close to the microphone and then we started rehearsing Karen. He taught us this beautiful background melody for the third verse of the song. Now that I think about it I remember that later on we found out that Label Barclay posted two pics of the soundcheck. Dont know if they've been posted before, here they are:

report part 2

After the soundcheck we went back to the choir room and for the next three hours we were rehearsing on our own. Everyone was determined to be the best we could possibly be and not to let Mika down. We tried to figure out what dance moves we could do during different parts of the songs and generally tried to find a way to move on stage as one group and not eleven individuals. At about 8:30 we were told to go downstairs in order to get our polka dot costumes. It was almost time for the show.

And now on to one of my most favorite parts of all this magical experience. Those few minutes before the show starts. We were told to go this corridor that leads to the stage and wait there for a bit. Very soon the band appeared and right after them Mika. He was getting ready for the gig doing these vocal exercises that make you do crazy sounds. Then he turned to us and asked us to do the same. We tried and that was really funny. What was even funnier was when he was like "now you're gonna hate me but you have to move your head like that and mess up your hair". That really made me laugh and do you know what, I think all this preparation helped us not to feel at all nervous about the show. Right after that he took the time to shake every choir member's hand and tell us to have fun. How heartwarming is that:wub2:

A minute or so later the concert started. The first song was Un soleil mal lune. I had dreamed of hearing this song live ever since I listened to the album for the very first time in September. I couldnt believe that I was hearing it from the side of the stage in the backstage area, what a beautiful performance that was!!!

The atmosphere of the concert was pretty amazing, one of the most enthusiastic I've ever seen. Being on the same stage with Mika was a truly magical experience. I cant really find the words to describe that. The whole choir thing feels like such a beautiful gift to the fans. What else can we say other than a massive thank you to Mika:wub2::wub2:

Hi! I'm at home and can write couple of words about the show!

First of all I want to say I was very glad to meet all MFCers in Paris! I have a great time in a queue just because I was there :blush-anim-cl:

I'm not able to write a lot about the show and everything but I can share with you my feelings and my pix :wink2:

To see Mika's show from the first row was incredible :aah: I was so close that I can touch his boots, but I'd never do smth like this! And you know, when he's so close, you realize that he's a real preson... As for me I felt there was a barrier, when I caught his look and he's been looking into my eyes for some seconds, I had a feeling that I irrupted in his personal space  And it was great that fans from the first rows didn't try to touch him! It means we all respect him, I suppose :fisch: Anyway he looks much more slimer in a real life :wub2: And he was very nice to me during m&g! I really hope he'd liked my small russian doll "matrioshka" that I presented to him :aah: And now he knows that Siberia is not that cold as he thought :aah:
