  1. ok, in this case... i'm looking forward to see the photos. yeah, they hadn't, and it's also not in their events list.
  2. nah, i guess it was just the journalist who mixed it up... she also said that he first wanted to make a french album but changed his mind, so i wouldn't trust that. same here.
  3. huh, wasn't that the one that isn't open to the public? maybe they mixed it up with his other gig in russia.
  4. kate posted this on facebook: Toutes et tous devant la scène, fait 35 degrés en plein soleil... On va sécher... the automatic translation says that everyone is front row and that they're boiling under the sun. anyway, it looks like a lovely scenery!
  5. nope, it's what they wrote. i've read that on several websites though, they all seem to think it's a single.
  6. this was in my google alerts today, and posted on the german forum, it's an interview about mika's upcoming gig in luzern and about various other things, in german: http://www.20min.ch/entertainment/musik/story/27859456 translation (sorry for any mistakes, i took the google translation and improved it. ): "I am a victim of the street" by Catherine Steiner - On July 23rd Mika plays at the Blue Balls Festival in Lucerne. Will the Briton maybe find a new home here? Mika, you'll be playing at the Blue Balls Festival. Is this your first time in Lucerne? No, I was already here as a child. Our family went crisscrossing Europe in the holidays. I remember Lucerne as very beautiful, but the city also radiates a certain melancholy. Are you planning to mingle with people? Yes. If you're on a long tour, it's important to participate in real life. Otherwise you may become mad. Your new album will be out in September. How will it sound? I got inspired by the golden era of pop, the Bee Gees and Fleetwood Mac. A few tracks are electronic. You lived a vagabond life from a young age. Where do you feel at home? Ask me again in ten years. I've never stopped traveling around. I am a victim of the street. Should I have a family one day, this will change. Which country fascinates you most? China. I've been there 16 times, and the country has changed every time. But this makes it difficult to fall in love with the place. Your new single is called "Make You Happy." What makes you happy? Definitely to make music. It is the only thing that has given me a purpose in life.
  7. voted. atm the voting results are very similar to my personal faves list. except for underwater being no.1 for me, and tool no.2.
  8. that means it'll be a LOOOOOOOUUUD bang! just be prepared. did you take a photo of it? you should, cause if it explodes like mine, it'll be in 10 pieces afterwards. but i hope you'll be lucky and it'll last at least 3 years like it did for laymay.
  9. what really, your balloon lasted 3 years?! mine exploded after 3 days! i recommend not keeping it anywhere near you when you're sleeping, or you'll be up on the ceiling when it explodes.
  10. haha, LOL!!! i LOVE his drawing on the pic, so cute!! thank you for your report!
  11. of which festival? of denmark i didn't see one, but statue posted one from estonia, and it's on there, as the last song: http://www.mikafanclub.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3734726&postcount=6
  12. only just watched this, aww, love it! *fangurl* he describes the feeling at his shows so well, and it's so good to know that he feels the same! *wub2* t4p! edit: since this post doesn't want to show my smileys, i just wrote the smiley text next to them again. *aah*
  13. he reminds me of michael jackson in that pic. ängi, what a lovely photo of you & mika! thanks for posting, and also for your report! also thanks to everyone else for reports, photos and videos!
  14. no idea. guess he's just too picky. huh, where did he sack GK?!
  15. hey, but i never thought that BIOTW sounded like BIOTG, despite the similar lyrics!
  16. isn't it about a hooker? i think i read that somewhere... so he doesn't want to fall in love with that hooker?
  17. i said that on the other thread... meanwhile i think it's because of the line "From the air I breathe to the love I need", because it has the same rhyme like in underwater "all i need is the love you breathe"... so it's more the lyrics that make it sound similar, than the music.
  18. i'll see what i can do... if i order 10, i think they're all taken now... but mariposa said she had a spare as well, so if she gives hers to tina, i'll have one more for you. unless of course some more mfcers want them, then i'd just order 5 or 10 more... they have a fast delivery, so i can wait another week or so til i order them. like this? guess it might be a bit hot... and if mika says "clap your hands!"...
  19. after thinking about it for a day, i decided that i love this song. i already had a better feeling with it from the beginning than i had with myh or celebrate on the first listening, but after listening to it 2 or 3 times in the versions from denmark and estonia, i decided that it's fantastic, and definitely my fave of the 3 new songs! i still like karen and underwater the most of all the new songs, but it's getting closer. there is only one little part in tool that disturbs me, and that's the background music to the "love is a drug..." part - especially that bit of instrumental you can hear before he starts singing. it reminds me too much of one of those sound presets of cheap keyboards... to be exact, it sounds much like the sound preset i have in my old cheap keyboard from the '90s. - and that reminds me of songs like this: which are fun for an oktoberfest party when you're drunk, but not really what you'd call the high art of music. anyway, the origin of love has so many different parts, and i absolutely love all the other parts, and it looks so much fun when he does it live! i think my fave bit is this "ey-oh-ey-oh-ah!" he does once towards the end - i think for the live version he should do more with this bit, it'd be catchy and fun and easy to sing along. not that the "love, love, love,..." bit isn't catchy - imo tool is the catchiest song of all the new ones! - but this one ey-oh-bit just somehow makes me want to hear more of it. one song it reminds me a bit of is "honey honey" by abba... can't even say why, but my head keeps mixing this song into tool... - but i love abba, so that's a plus really.
  20. thank you everyone for the lyrics! i don't know, i find this song about as mainstream as celebrate, but it's missing the faster beat that makes celebrate such a good live song imo, and is kinda starting to get on my nerves towards the end, because it's always the same through the whole song. it's not that i don't like it, i would say that maybe i like it more than MYH, but less than underwater, TOOL and celebrate - so it's not my fave song of the new ones. maybe it'll grow on me, in any case i'm looking forward to hear it live.
  21. of course i don't mind at all if YOU wear a hat, sabine... and if mika does for 1 or 2 songs it's alright with me too... but not (nearly) the whole gig! i want to see his beautiful fluffy hair! curls or no curls, but at least hair!! he can start wearing hats once he gets bald. thanx everyone for finding and posting the twitter photos. at least the trousers are an improvement. and it's somehow nice to see the braces back.
  22. statue texted me that theyre front row center, i think shes with nina,so thatll mean perfect pix and videos from the 2 of them. she also texted that he did underwater and lola at the soundcheck! and even another new song! i hope hell play them all...
  23. thank you so much for the video! and everyone else for photos, videos and the interview (& translation)! the song is really catchy, and i definitely like the ending... have to think about the rest, but i guess i have a better feeling than with the other 2 songs, already after the first listening. so he wanted to do underwater as well! wonder if he does it at the other shows... and still billy brown, pfft - i guess he'll never get rid of that one! i'd join you in burning the hat.
  24. 1915, 1950, who cares... were they wearing those hats in 1915? maybe he's gone back in time some more.
