    I just opened Spotify and saw this... I've listened to a lot of music this month, not just Mika, but it seems Spotify knows me better. :lmfao: (Golden is my playlist full of Mika songs that are on Spotify but aren't on any album I own.)

    I know it's the anniversary of the explosion in Beirut today but I really needed to hear Mika's voice right now... :cloud: I was so nervous and stressed out because in 24 hours I'm travelling for the first time since the pandemic started and of course I'm excited but at the same time, I felt overwhelmed because there are so many things you have to take care of nowadays. For a moment I lost the joy and felt horrible. Hearing Mika singing Heroes calmed me down and brought me to tears but in a good way. I feel so much better now, Mika's soft voice really is the best tranquilizer in the world. :tea:

    I must confess I have a new favourite singer lately... :sweatdrop:

     

    His name is Tico and he is a parrot. :biggrin2: I love to watch him while writing my diploma thesis.

    I spent over an hour yesterday trying to choose the right colours of beads for my next rainbow project inspired by the Revelation Tour... :teehee: And this is the best I got. The order is on the way! :cheer:

    I turned up the radio but as usual didn't really enjoy the music there so I was listening to Sinfonia Pop the whole evening... :wub2: When both CDs were over, I was going to turn off the CD player but before that I decided to switch to the radio first. And guess what song I've heard:

    I won these FriXion Pens in a competition by Pilot Pen CZ! :cheer: Unfortunately it's not the gift pack but there are all six colours of the FriXion ball pens, I already had the one with the toucan but not the rest... :biggrin2:

    I'm in shock because of the bridge in Genova, me and my family used that bridge several times when we spent our summer in Liguria, our favourite region in Italy, the last time only a month ago... My mother always said the bridge is ugly and was afraid of passing it. I can't believe what happened... :shocked:

    I've found Songs for Sorrow on ebay.de "just" for 40 €, but the seller doesn't have any reviews and he/she is selling only this one item, so I'm not sure if it's trustful enough... But I thought it's an interesting price for the EP.

      I bought last year from one MFCer who was selling her collection but it cost more, there were autographs in it.

    I've just heard on the radio the wonderful song She is Always a Woman by Billy Joel and had to think of Mika who introduced me to so many great songs and musicians and I also had to listen to his cover of the song... It's really hard to concentrate on studying when everything reminds you of Mika. :lmfao:

    If you're looking for a show to brighten up your days and you do have Netflix, watch Julie and the Phantoms, believe me, you won't regret it! :biggrin2: The series is a bit like a musical and it's so uplifting with a great story, lovely characters and catchy music. I finished it in two days, unfortunately it's quite short... Do you have any recommendations for other uplifting series/movies? I need more right now.

    It took me a while but now I kind of appreciate Mika's decision to cancel his tour instead of just postponing it. Last year I bought a ticket for a concert that should have took place in March 2020. Today I've realized that the concert was postponed again from March 2021 to March 2022. It feels ridiculous and even though I understand the company, I would prefer a cancellation at this point. :sad:

    It wasn't planned but i somehow started to (re-)watch all Mika concerts this Christmas. :lmfao: I watched Bercy again the night before Christmas and continued with Parc Des Princes yesterday, so I think it's time for Como today, that's maybe my favourite... What's yours? :wink2:

    Just a little story... Today I went to a concert which was a part of Prague Pride. At the very beginning before the first performance they started to play Grace Kelly. I know, it's the most basic Mika song, but I was so happy to hear it. However, after the first seconds I realized it's a cover! It was so weird to hear Grace Kelly without Mika's voice. It was so disappointing... :no:

      @Maria :) It's also really rare here to hear another song than GK or Relax. This was in a clothing store too. I walked by it and I had to stop and listen to the end of the song. :lmfao: And I also found Mika's Pilot Pens at the supermarket. It's nice to "see" and hear Mika while shopping... :wub2:

    Just a random story – I watched a video on YT called "Artists you may have forgotten about" where Mika was mentioned. Somebody commented on it, that Mika isn't forgotten because there's this commercial with that guy changing colourful costumes along with the car which pretty sure features a Mika song... :lmfao:

      All they care about are people who break in US, anyway, when we see what MIKA was doing over the last years even if it's not about making new music he's a genius and an unforgateble talent who manages to renewable himself, he would like to be famous world while but it's about the big machine, female singers who appear every few years and so on.

       

       

      I do think that MIKA succeeded to manage his career very well, 

       

       

      one of the amazing singers performers, Adam lambert, he's also in my opinion extremely underrated, so he's limiting his career touring with queen and as judge in australia

      oops sorry, i stumbled in here accidentally 😳 Yeah he has lots of fans in other countries, but i worry a lot of them are stuck in the LICM days & never even hear he's put out new records. btw Mika actually did kinda write Happy Ending about homeless people. he explained it in a video i saw ages ago but now i forget which it was.

      @kreacher I wasn't sure about that because on the radio station it sounds as if he would write it in LA as he was recording the album but I thought the song was older than that and they sometimes say untrue information in that show, a few days later they say Avril Lavigne released her debut album when she was 22 (she was 17) etc. But thank you for the clarification. :original:
