  1. For the music video I was also wondering what he would do when it got to that particular naughty line in the song (with the F*** word), and it certainly comes across quite sexy imo! Best not say what's actually in my mind, I've stayed clear of the NC for a while now!
  2. I was going to post something similar, you beat me to it! Now, how to get a Mika clone of my own... 🤔😂 I love the video so so much! It's stunning and so full of colour, all the different scenes match the theme of the song perfectly. I particularly like the part where he's being painted white over the yellow suit, to me it signifies that Mika is changing and allowing someone else into his life to be with him through it. It's all so wonderful and certainly one of my new favourites.
  3. So sorry you missed the deadline, fingers crossed they might just take notice of your email. Love your blooper reel! The louboutins! 🤣 And I love your badges too!
  4. Did I just go down a Jennifer Guidi rabbit hole to try and find out which book in particular Mika has? Yes, yes I did 😅 There is her latest book '11:11' but I doubt it features this years work, her next book 'Full Moon' is out next year, she had an exhibit in France this year (started in June) where you can see these artworks, which are in the book Mika has: This is called "We Live in a World of Wonders". I wonder if Mika had time to go to the exhibition and got a exclusive preview of her next book? 🤔 Anyway sorry to go off topic, can definitely see where Mika got his inspiration from!
  5. Excited for this video! Especially seeing as there were already nods to what's going to feature in it with the previously released lyric video, with Studio Job no doubt this is going to be epic! 😁
  6. Post on X: And Mikainstagram post from earlier: instagram_1698957269787.mp4 'October! October! I love you more each year; Your warm days, your soft days, To me they are most dear.’ Oh November, who knows what you’ll have in store. But if you buy my pre-order, I swear to love you more! Original quotation, ‘October’ by D. Maitland Bushby #quetatêtefleurissetoujours #mayyourheadalwaysbloom
  7. It's not been too bad where I am. Had sunshine around early afternoon! I would be very annoyed if Mika came somewhere near me though and didn't say hello! We could have cake together or cheese, or both!
  8. I went and used their Live Chat service on the customer queries section of UMusic. I was put through to a real human being rather than a bot but yet again I still got this response. Copied from transcript: "I'm sorry for the delay, I’m afraid we are still awaiting delivery of the Tote and T-shirt you have ordered. I can confirm that we are chasing our supplier for any update as to when we can expect this to arrive although at this time, we do not have an exact date. Please note, we do not physically stock the items and they come directly from our supplier, we then ship these to all ordering customers, so the release dates and delays are beyond our control and as we haven’t received the stock yet we’re unable to ship the item to you any sooner at this time, I’m so sorry about this. As soon as stock arrives, we will ship all orders and you will be sent an email confirmation - you'll be the first to know! Should you no longer wish to wait, please let us know and we can cancel your order for you." Pretty sure they just copy and paste a quick standard reply at this point and not even the staff there know what's going on 🙃
  9. Seems a shame to limit entries to only Riffx customers and even then you have to live in a certain area, doesn't really seem fair to me. Hopefully it will be an awesome opportunity to hear the album and meet Mika though! Too much to ask for a listening party in the UK though?... probably, ah C'est La Vie! Hope you get in! You might become one of the only MFCers to do so and be able to tell us all about the album before release day! Good luck to all who enter as well!
  10. I've been very sleep deprived lately and haven't had a chance yet to really say much about the Kids choir version of C'est La Vie, but I have listened and watched the video for it now and I absolutely love it! It's so full of vibrancy and happiness. I like both versions but I'm likely to listen to this more on repeat. I totally agree with you on this! We know the song is actually very sad when it comes down to the lyrics but the new video with the choir shows the happiness and the innocence of children. Children do have an "I don't care attitude" and most don't have big responsibilities yet so the contrast between the words and the big beaming smiles is infectious! I found myself getting quite emotional with this new version, truly smiling with tears in my eyes. I feel like C'est La Vie will become my new comfort song, little strange I know, but thanks to the message behind the words I know that no matter what, there will always be a better day 😊
  11. I dreamt last night that I got to see a Mika concert for free! It started off with someone showing me around a small concert venue before anyone else went in. There were two seated places left and I could look first to see if I wanted them. However the seats had really bad visibility of the stage so I said I'd leave it and didn't take them. When I was looking at the stage though I noticed an air vent right above it, I had this idea of finding where the air vent started so I could crawl through and see Mika without paying! There were some small shops behind the venue and I went round to one of them to work out where the air vent connects to the venue. I eventually found it at the top of a staircase and crawled all the way through! The concert had already started and I was quite happy watching Mika down below, when suddenly I fell through the metal hatch! I fell right next to Mika on the stage (he could have caught me!), he found it hilarious that I'd been hiding up there all along and said I could sit near the stage instead. He reminded me a little bit of Elvis in the dream, Mika was wearing a white suit with a short cape attached and his hair was cut rather short too. It wasn't long though until someone said that guards were coming to check that everyone had a ticket. Mika told me I had to leave and helped me back into the air vent. I crawled back down and went back to the shops and hid amongst other people, luckily the guards never found me! 😁
  12. OK so it looks like FNAC don't do international shipping Which is a shame because I would love the white vinyl! Hoping it might get sold somewhere else in the future!
  13. He was far too orange for that to be natural! 😅 I had a new boiler fitted! (why do they always break down when you need them most?! ) Never again. They were here for 7 1/2 hours! But they did a good job and tidied up after themselves and now I have heating and a digital thermostat that I don't understand yet 😅
  14. True! The eyeliner he was wearing though, it really made his eyes pop! My day would have been a 1000 times better if the guy turned up dressed like this! 😁 There were actually two guys in my house on Friday. The one with make-up and another with a fake tan. Still not giving context for this...
  15. This site is selling the vinyl, both the blue and standard editions. https://thesoundofvinyl.com/products/que-ta-tete-fleurisse-toujours-store-exclusive-vinyl-lp?_pos=2&_sid=d8ba3aecd&_ss=r
  16. Thanks for sharing @crazyaboutmika do you have an FNAC account? I'm looking to see if they do international shipping but looking at their website I can't seem to find that information. If anyone can let me know that would be appreciated 😊
  17. Had a grown man wearing make-up vacuum my stair case and living room on Friday. It was weird. Lovely. But weird. And I'm not giving any context for this, I'm gonna leave you all guessing!
  18. I only got chance to watch the performance on youtube right before I went to bed. So annoyed that ITV (UK broadcaster) didn't show it! What a show!!! It was wonderful but over all too quickly, I loved the set up with the piano and the children did such a great job. They looked lovely in their suits! And Mika's suit was stunning!
  19. Realising that Mika pretty much took this song and gave it a French twist! https://youtu.be/ydrtF45-y-g?si=O5HZ3TsCEwrN_uf6 Give it a listen. Loudly. At work is best I think
  20. I agree with this too. And also what you say about normalisation of being open about identity, sexuality and sex. So many artists tip toe around the subject, either because they don't feel comfortable opening up or they've been told no. It's actually refreshing to have a song from Mika that's so blatant.
  21. This is purely my own personal preference, but I wouldn't describe the song as explicit myself. Yes, some of the wording can certainly be seen that way but for me the song as a whole isn't. As previously pointed out it's not done in a vulgar way, it's simply conveying that honesty of what making love can accomplish for a relationship and what it feels like between two people. To me the song is very pure and very real, for once I actually think it's a good thing that Mika isn't hiding behind innuendos. It might not carry the same emotional impact as C'est La Vie but it's still very much a "heart on my sleeve" kind of song. I also think the song conveys that balance between what can be negatively thrown at a relationship and the negativity already within a relationship, but it circles back to how two people get through it together. The "Apocalypse" is out there in the world but there's also an "Apocalypse" happening between the lovers (gives me Last Party vibes). As I said before it might not necessarily be the physical side of the relationship that makes things stronger, intimacy doesn't have to just mean sex. It can be just two people standing side by side, supporting each other. Sometimes love IS enough. There's nothing wrong with bringing up the subject of sex in a song and why shouldn't Mika go down this route with AC? He's said time and time again that he's sick of people telling him no, telling him that he can't be his true self. Now he his (although it did also come across in MNIMH) and with this song I actually find it empowering. Referring back to this line especially: "No matter what they think about the consequences, your booty is dancing", Mika doesn't give a damn about the consequences of people seeing that he's in a very umm shall we say fullfilling relationship . Not everyone is going to like this song, either lyrically or musically and there's no right or wrong opinion or interpretation for it either. And that's ok. I'm glad we can discuss our various thoughts about a song here and nothing bad is going to happen if someone says they don't connect to it, we can still be accepting of one another's opinions and that's what I love about MFC! . I'll be honest too, I can relate to the majority of Mika's songs but I think this is the first one where I don't feel a connection with the lyrics. The music has more of an impact on me, I love the softness and the higher beats of the chorus. As long as it gets me dancing then that's good enough for me! I was going to say something along this line too! You've hit the nail on the head there!
  22. Another UK based online store selling the blue vinyl (unsigned and without stickers). They also have the standard vinyl and CD. https://recordstore.co.uk/products/que-ta-tete-fleurisse-toujours-store-exclusive-vinyl-lp?_pos=2&_sid=e806583cf&_ss=r
