    Yes!!! The album version of the song (Tra te e il mare, just looked that up šŸ˜†) wasnā€™t one of my favorites, but in this setting and her voice and the emotion reflected in it... she is an amazing vocalist, takes you away when she hits the high notes ā¤ļø And Mika singing ballads... I know heā€˜s not the sappy kind of singer, but he can convey so much when he does. It truly was a treat to hear him sing ā€žit mustā€™ve been loveā€œ. Oh and the jazz hands with ā€žLollipopā€œ. I am dead šŸ¤£ I used to dance, also on Big Band music, so this just speaks to my heart ā¤ļø

    For as far as my Highschool French goes, he replaced just a few English introā€˜s for the exact French ones, like when he was introducing Danna Paola. And the subtitling mistake wasnā€™t there, because the excerpt where the lady was talking was in French šŸ¤£ so it didnā€™t need to have subtitles. The English parts were subtitled in French, though!

    Iā€™ve just watched it on France 2 again. Took a nap to make sure I would not be a zombie the next day šŸ˜… Only missed the first song! But it was so nice to watch the concert again. My favorites - It mustā€˜ve been love with Danna Paola, Promiseland, Lollipop and Laura Pausini just blew me away as if I was watching it for the first time. What I noticed is that the parts in between he was speaking more French. I can imagine that he may have recorded certain parts in three languages, so it would fit the audience. Was the plan maybe all along to sell it to TV stations? Well, certainly smart thinking! Iā€™m curious if my theory proves to be true when it is shown in Italy later this month.

    So Mika sold the stream to both Italian and French TV, which is very smart and probably brought in a fair chunk of the total amount! Does anyone know if thatā€™s a set amount per viewing, or will he also be paid according to the number of viewers?

    Iā€™ve been thinking about your comments (and my first somewhat harsch comment) the last couple of days and youā€™re absolutely right. What else to fill this forum with šŸ¤£ but if we are very honest, we do exactly as he does, but just not with media present that can magnify every pore in your face. And for the whole world to be judged! As a metaphor, using my username: At work I dress up in my uniform, put makeup on and serve luxury beverages on a silver platter; At home I dress in my comfy clothes, donā€™t always wear makeup and tell my kids to get their own drinks At a concert with friends I dress up in my dancy clothes, put makeup on, wear crazy accessories and will hold your drink if needed šŸ˜† But itā€™s all me! And in the end of the day my loved ones will embrace who I am no matter if I serve drinks, hold drinks or tell others to get their own drinks šŸ¤£ same with Mika. Itā€™s still all him in his authentic self, just different sides of him and we embrace it all šŸ¤—

    Reading our comments and thinking about it, I donā€™t think weā€™re any better than the press šŸ¤£ I donā€™t blame Mika for his choices, because whatever he does is going to be analyzed and magnified. So he might as well make the choice to put the work in and look perfectly groomed and styled. If we would ever have to trade places, I donā€™t think I could handle the amount of pressure he is under for as long as he has. I mean, in a way he wouldnā€™t be so loved if most of what he does wouldnā€™t be authentic. Who cares about a little look optimizing if you look at the big picture? I do hope that he wonā€™t go as far as looking too plastic, to turn in an actual Toy Boy. In the literal sense šŸ˜Š

    Iā€™ve noticed when looking at the photoā€™s of today (Iā€™m always collecting images for possible portraits in the future šŸ˜Š) that there is some pigment to make the hairline at the sides appear smoother. In Make-up terms, it seems like the same kind of pigment that is used to accentuate the eyebrows (or at least, thatā€™s what I use šŸ¤£) Then again, I may absolutely be wrong and it may have been styled that way to appear so, but itā€™s a shame either way. I wonder if there is pressure to look a certain way, because heā€™s doing a lot of television. A great part of why Iā€™m a Mika fan, is because of his authenticity in both song and appearance. He looks great, donā€™t get me wrong, but I think he would look even better if he remains ā€œrealā€. Or at least doesnā€™t do more appearance-optimizing than he has already done. Or am I the only one noticing šŸ™ˆ

    Mika is looking great, as always! I know oversized is in and he is probably wearing a Valentino similar to his Belle dā€™Estate performance without the ā€œBad Loverā€ text on it (which is 100% fitting for this event, the choice is spot on!), but I personally find form fitting smart wear more flattering on him. The oversized casual shirts heā€™s wearing lately are great on him though!

    Oh this is so great! I LOVED Zazie, Jenifer, Florent and Mika together. They had the best performances and their voices complimented eachother so well. As well as their personalities on screen šŸ˜Š (even if I only understood 10% of what was said, but their body language said it all!)

    Listening to Dannaā€™s and Mikaā€™s cover of ā€œIt must have been loveā€. Itā€™s like a warm hug from afar. A warm hug from Mika! The emotional response Iā€™m reading on here from everyone is enormous. And you are all right, what Mika wanted to achieve was exactly that. Empathy and awareness through beautiful music and collaborations. And a connection, not only with the people of Beirut, but with everyone of us as individuals.
