  1. Heard it and love it! What a fantastic dance track! Definitely going to get the crowd jumping at the gigs!
  2. Oh, I LOVE it! Beautiful, touching, considered, intelligent, honest... I already loved JSQJT from the snippet, even more now. And Amour Pirate blew me away, I wasn't sure on the snippet but my god it's so good. And Passager, so touchingly beautiful. It's wonderful. ❤️❤️❤️
  3. Whaaat?? It was ed-yu-cay-shun-al! I was trying to help! But, I'm confused. You want me to brush Mika? I mean, I'm game, but I'm not sure he'd like it. Can I get some safety gloves or something? He bites, you know. Ahem. *My name is Hero and I was called here by Crazy for the crime of warning innocent people who were unaware of the common meaning of "flaccid". As in limp. And dangly.* Ok, broom time. Kitty, get in here and help!
  4. Yes, the song! As in it might grow on me! Honestly Michelle, your mind...
  5. It could be flaccid, but at the risk of going to the NC, I'm compelled to note that the common usage of the word these days is to describe... umm .. when a man... well, the words soft and floppy come to mind... And Mika will know this!
  6. Ooh, this could be a cryer for the topic. Does anyone else hear a little Le Coeur Holiday there?
  7. Some bold questions there. I wonder if the answers have changed?
  8. Hmm, I need to hear the full thing, it might be a grower. Maybe! I could see him using it for his exit song, like he did with the YoYo remix.
  9. He was raised a Catholic, and even for non believers just having that background and teachings, particularly at a young age, can have long lasting effects. For one thing, it's heavy on the guilt. He grew up hearing that he was a sinner, even before his "forbidden" sexual preferences were recognised. Negative points. BUT... it was singing in the school choir that led him to make friends and be integrated socially again. And he enjoyed the singing, even if the mass got monotonous so they snuck comics in the prayer books. And I think he does have a strong spiritual side, which finds its release in singing. His gigs, he gets the "communion of spirit" there that others go to church for. Same with the crowd atmosphere at the football and rugby matches. It gives him that sense of belonging that was denied to him by organised religion. He is always keen to see religious places such as Santiago de Compostela, the Vatican museums, the chapel at Sforza. I hope he has reached a point where he is at peace with "god" (whatever that concept means for him), and can ignore the damage of the church teachings, but those early tendrils linger long in the soul, I wouldn't be surprised if he's still working things out. Heck, I think most of us are at some level. Um. Where did that come from? Longer than intended, and off topic. Sorry!
  10. I guess it can be about whatever you want it to be about. But from the romantic feel of the song, and the line about life forgiving them even if god abandons them, I understood it to be about his relationship. Doesn't the track come after after Moi, Andy et Paris on the album? I can see it as a follow on after that, the reaction to the pain caused by the argument, his anger at Andy for going to Greece, and the realisation that despite it all his love is still the strongest emotion he has for his partner. I don't see how the line about god abandoning them would relate to his mum, that doesn't quite sit right for me. And this is exactly why I can't listen to NPIH.
  11. Try bringing the sound more to the front of the mouth, between the tip of the tongue and the teeth, and keeping it light. Only the "qu" sound needs to come from the throat. Voila!
  12. That's it! The words I was looking for. I just feel it. Thanks Deb!
  13. Absolutely adore this, the grandness, the softness, the burst of anger, it took my breath a bit. I think it might be my favourite so far! Also - who are these unknown people calling him, and how do we get that number??
  14. Good news, there's an M&S in the station, they can get their Percy Pigs.
  15. Beautiful, soft, gentle, reflective. Yep, there's the one that makes me cry. Dammit Mika! You're hitting all the buttons with this album.
  16. I checked it on Google. It brought up details for an "adult" store in London...
