.... was wondering about that, about how many people could you get this pass for? I may go over there & ask in person.

I like the idea of the Art Institute being taken over by a horde of hormonally berserk giggling MFCers!( dressed up as- who knows what?)

What a great group photo that would be,

on the front steps of the AIC with the Lions....

wonder if MIKA will be doing any sightseeing in town? He's welcome to join us!

although I can see us being escorted out by the Art Institute security people for shrieking too loudly...

LOL when I first wrote a letter to him for the RELAX book, this is what I said about the city :wub2:

One day I would love to help someone out like she did in that sort of poetic way. Downtown Chicago truly is the hub of my imagination. I want you to see the city from my perspective someday. You can do just that you know.Remember what I said about dreams? . Just close your eyes and look at the world through my rose colored glasses…

“La Vie en Rose “

Take a trip inside of my head and see what I see: The windy city is buzzing with life. Poets walk with their muses hand in hand. Music floods every street corner… The violinist plays moonlight sonata while drummer boys bang on trash cans. The sounds are different, but when they collide, it is an ingenious composition. Artists lay in the lush green grass surrounding Millennium Park documenting every daydream. We finally get to my favorite part in the entire city…The garden by the Art Institute. It is serene and sweet smelling. Trees cradle the new born birds and form a canopy over every flower bed. We are free from the bonds of industry and yet just beyond the green abyss of blooming life we can see the city lights still shining on… the best of both worlds for those of us who are unsettled and ambivalent…

wow, Melanie that's really...poetic!

unfortunately it won't look that nice in February, it will be coated with that grey film of slush and salt. He'll just have to tour again in better weather!

You know, ABC News has their studio @ State & Lake, with those huge picture windows in front, many times they turn the cameras around & film the people gathered on the sidewalk watching the newsbroadcast.

What if a bunch of fans were waving a Mika banner......

Got my tickets today! for me & 2 good friends.

I'm SO excited!

I believe Tuesday is the free day @ Art Institute. Let's all go!

I'm cutting school that day, (don't tell!) and would be glad to show people around the city, well the mile 1/2 or so around HOB, it will be pretty cold for a lot of walking sightseeing.

If we can get in there to eat @ HOB restaurant & get passes to get back in line later, WHY NOT?

Or we could exchange cell #s and meet up for the group photo, that's a great idea.

MIKA is coming to town!!!!!!

this is better than any Christmas present!

Leona

Is it really a free day on Tuesday Feb.5th? That would be cool if a lot of MFC'ers would go. We were think of going before the concert. I think it would be cool to exchange phone numbers and meet up like at a certain place like for group photos or if we just want to stick together. HOB hasn't responded to my email yet when I asked them about passing the line. We're going to have to email them again and see what happens.

It never even occured to us that Mika might be sight seeing and could maybe be at the art institute. That would be sooooo cool and we would get thrown out for shrieking too loudly! heehee!:roftl:

Hi we were just browsing at hob and we clicked the dining link and there was a banner at the side that said:

PASS THE LINE

Purchase and Entree at the BACK PORCH

Restaurant, Present

Your Receipt with your

ticket prior to the

opening of the doors,

and receive Priority

Addmission for ONE

person per Entree.

And if you click it it will bring you to a make reservations form. We would still like some more information about this though. That would be cool if we all set a time and made reservations for how many ever wanted to do this.

I know!!! We emailed our cousin who is going to see if it's alright with her. That would be soooooooo cool if a lot of MFCers could dine there and then we'd all get to pass the line!!!

My friend says.....

"well i think we'd better make our reservation then.

from a restaurant person's point of view

tables should be a party of 5 or less.

reasons being 1) quicker service

2) parties of 6 or more are subject to AUTOMATIC gratuity of 20%

i'd also like to download their menu so i know exactly what i want to

sooner be finished and on the race line to the front row!"

Think they'll have a coat check? I would hate to have to carry my jacket the whole time cause you know we'll be bundled up

I'm sure they'll have one, but I'm not gonna do it because I wanna run straight to the stage and not have to think about anything else... I'll just hold mine... I won't have a camera anyway:thumbdown:
