I have a few that makes me cry every time I hear them, and a few that can make me cry, that's depending of the mood I'm in....

Always makes me c:

One, U2

Sometimes you can't make it on your own, U2

The scientist, Coldplay

Run, Snow Ptrol

Glycerine, Bush

These songs helped me through a very hard time, especially The scientist, it was a hit when I was lying in the hospital, very very ill and they thought I won't get to make it. But, I'm back:naughty:

And Glycerine was the song that my boyfriend and I loved to listen... He died because of a brain aneurysma....

Songs that can make me cry if I'm in a 'bad' mood

Fix you, Coldplay

Stay (far away, so close), U2

Running to stand still, U2

Overrated

Any Other world

I KNOW!!!!

I hate that commercial...I cannot watch it.

I think Relax, the acoustic version, makes me cry the hardest...the words are the same but the music behind it makes it seem so much more...I don't even know how to describe it. It just makes me cry.

Yeah me too. I know exactly what you mean:wink2:

Everyone picks any other world:naughty:

Mine:

Overrated

Erase

Relax acoustic

Ring ring sometimes...

Happy ending

John Lennon-Imagine (cause they played that when my grandpa died, and I had a strong connection with him, and he was just the best grandpa ever:tears:)

Googoo Dolls-Iris

And there are some other songs...

Puff the Magic Dragon

...as funny as it sounds - but I can cry EVERYTIME I hear it....when my parents or kids want to aggrevate me they sing Puff....and I bust out crying.... this has happened since I was 4-years-old.... sometimes in public like while out to dinner my parents will sing it...and I start boo hoo-ing right there in the middle of it all. THEY THINK IT IS HILARIOUS! I think it is tragic!

Someone's watching over me - Hilary duff.. :tears: Such a beautifull song.

So I won't give up,

No, I won't break down,

Sooner than it seems life turns around,

And I will be strong even if it all goes wrong,

When I'm standing in the dark I'll still believe,

Someone's watching over me.

Christina Aguilera's "Candyman" and "Ain't No Other Man". It never fails, every time I hear them I tear up and I have no idea what it is! Maybe just the power in her voice. Hehe!

lol. "Soar" makes me want to cry.

Imagine, john lennon.

outside, mariah carey.

Ouch, asked questions like these I can never really think of a full list instantly... I'm sure I'd find a hundred+ stirring songs that make me go really emotional, here's just a few I can think of for the moment...

Eva Cassidy - Fields of Gold

Counting Crows - Black and Blue

Guns'n'Roses - Don't cry

Alanis Morissette - Unsent

Coldplay - Fix you

Wir sind Helden - Ein Elefant für Dich

Pohlmann - Wenn die Nacht beginnt

Alphaville - Forever young

Harry Nilsson - Without you

Tuck and Patti - Time after Time

Morley - Slingshots

... and so many more...

Of course Luke's Joanna

and as for Mika it's got to be Overrated (sorry)

Ohhh and 'Ne me quitte pas' by Jacques Brel, how could I ever forget about this one

haha nice thread, it made me laugh a lot...

Babs I know exactly the feeling with ABBA, its all supposed to be fun and dance and then there is something so I dunno...sad about it , wtf, just like The Lord, the winner takes it all is just one of those ABBA songs to me

I was in your arms

Thinking I belonged there

I figured it made sense

Building me a fence

Building me a home

Thinking Id be strong there

and wat is a duct tape?? oh and btw in french there are like 545678 songwriters who wrote really sad songs, people like ferré and brel its just awfully sad, there is also this band Low and oh god so many others but i just dont listen to them so they dont make me cry, joan baez can eventually bring a tear in my eye but because of the beauty of it same thing with Dvorak

i saw that many people mentioned james b-b-blunt, well he does make me cry too but for very different reasons, Holocaust is maybe one of the saddest song i ever heard and nothing really ends on a different level too

Slipping through my fingers, by Abba.

I have no idea why this makes me cry.

It's about a mother and a daughter and how time passes without us noticing it, and how they never did all the things together they should have.

I guess it's just a reminder that we should cherish every minute and that kind of makes me sad.

And any song that mentions duct tape. :crybaby:
