kittycatmikasnumber1fan Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 i wonder who has heard this. it makes me cry if the link dosent work hear are the lyrics Running out of breath Chasing down the big parade, rising up my hand, thought I'd beg the marching band to play, for me all of these illusions, they really mean the world to me, me Don't make me out to be this helpless child of misery, maybe love is what I need but not your sympathy In and out of space, I'm always somewhere in between, I try to make commands but instead I make a mess of things, for me I try paint by numbers, but nothing's black and white to me Don't make me out to be this helpless child of misery, maybe love is what I need but not your sympathy Nothing and no one can make your lies the truth, and no one can stand inside your shoes but you Don't make me out to be this helpless child misery, maybe love is what I need but not your sympathy but not your sympathy
IngievV Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 I think, considering this is the MFC, most of the people on here have heard it:naughty: But it is really beautiful:thumb_yello:

celien Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Yes, I've heard this song before, it's a beautiful song (again), I love it!
hotdlp Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 I loved this song when I first heard it (I still do) but I would listen to it on my ipod before I went to sleep.
dcdeb Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 It's on some versions of the album -- I think the Japanese edition? And I just wanted to say about the lyrics: In and out of space, I'm always somewhere in between, I try to make commands but instead I make a mess of things, for me It's "try to make AMENDS" not commands We have the actual lyrics posted here: http://www.mikafanclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6494&page=2 dcdeb

CazGirl Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 i love this song. musically, i prefer "Erase" but lyrically i think they're both hauntingly beautiful.
kittycatmikasnumber1fan Posted April 13, 2008 Author Posted April 13, 2008 i love this song. musically, i prefer "Erase" but lyrically i think they're both hauntingly beautiful. wow. your so right about it being haunting. i couldnt think of the right word for it
rabdash Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Yes, it's such a beautiful song... It fits in well with an acceptance theme... And yes, haunting is a great word for it
lollipop_monkey Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 I don't know why he didn't put this song on all versions of LICM - I would go so far as to say it's a stronger track than "Erase". But yes, it is available on the Japanese release.
Guest Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Love the song I'm glad I bought the Japanese LICM (although I didn't know the song before I bought it Just bought it for Ring Ring & Erase).
robertina Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 this song fits me in every line....and you can see some in my sig.... i love this song, thanks mika for writing it!
Louiza Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 i love this song, especially the lyrics i bought the japanese edition of LICM for it
Marilyn Mastin Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 i wonder who has heard this. it makes me cry if the link dosent work hear are the lyrics Running out of breath Chasing down the big parade, rising up my hand, thought I'd beg the marching band to play, for me all of these illusions, they really mean the world to me, me Don't make me out to be this helpless child of misery, maybe love is what I need but not your sympathy In and out of space, I'm always somewhere in between, I try to make commands but instead I make a mess of things, for me I try paint by numbers, but nothing's black and white to me Don't make me out to be this helpless child of misery, maybe love is what I need but not your sympathy Nothing and no one can make your lies the truth, and no one can stand inside your shoes but you Don't make me out to be this helpless child misery, maybe love is what I need but not your sympathy but not your sympathy It's a gorgeous song. I'd love to hear him sing it live. I understand it's on some version of LICM, probably a foreign version, but it's really brilliant, and shows his lower tones off so well.
kittycatmikasnumber1fan Posted April 17, 2008 Author Posted April 17, 2008 im so glad noone dillikes this song:wub2:
jessicamadq Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 im so glad noone dillikes this song:wub2: That's very unlikely with the MFC
greta Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 pft, if there's one thing that's makes me angry about Mika's gig is WHY the heck you've to sing always some songs only {&in the same order!} while the album was sold in different versions not available in all the countries unless you're willing to pay too much on ebay:sneaky2: I'd love to hear Your Sympathy live{and others..and ACUSTIC}
chickadee Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 I played this song for a friend last week and she (not a Mika fan) said "That's either really funny or really sad." I was just a little bit indignant. I hadn't thought of it as funny certainly but I hadn't even really thought of it as sad, just beautiful. I love the tune but I really love the lyrics, I just think sometimes he puts things in such a poetic way. You could express exactly the same sentiments in a different way and it wouldn't even come close to beautiful.
Mika4Life13 Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 my mom laughed her arse off when i sang the helpless child of misery part. and i love it.
kittycatmikasnumber1fan Posted April 18, 2008 Author Posted April 18, 2008 That's very unlikely with the MFC hmmm. good point. me thinks i need a new brain

It was one of the unmentionables.
