Thanks for this, I think i will spend the rest of the day just looking at the pics and videos. I will share my report from the show soon, once my camera will be functional i will post pics too.

 

I just would like to add that Mika looked absolutly amazing that night, you could see the amount of pressure he was under but it all vanished when the crowd wasgoing crazy with him singing, you could see him completly staring at the crowd with amazment and trying to digest everything, with a big big sweet smile on his face

i apologise if i posted what's been posted already, just logged in and i write my reports before of reading the others'.

 

 

my train got in paris later than supposed and I lost time taking detours as a bit of the metro line was closed due to works, so I got to the stadium due to works at noon or smt. fany, em and the others had been queueing since 5 am (gosh ) so i could not think to be queueing with them, I greeted everyone and I have to say it was BRILLIANT to se everyone again! fanny, thx so much for everything: you are a star! <3

 

then, I met up with mici and we browsed the area: VERY huge and apparently very strict security, but I have to say VERY VERY well organised! it's probably the most comfy gig (in the wait for the main act, under stage) I have ever been to! everything was done, so people could actually seat down on pelouse (well, that's what we did at least).

 

mici was in seated place so she could not join us in the queue for pelouse, so I decided to hang out with her even if I lost my place in queue anyway: it's not fun to queue alone.

 

we enjoyed quite a bit of mika soundcheck from a lateral entrance of the stadium (outside gates o.c.) and we could see his face just well on megascreen. so we kinda knew all the setlist and some of the performances in advance cause of that. very enjoyable.

mika looked so tense, very focused, very concentrated, like andy and john confirmed later on. arras' performance (my report in arras thread) has been what has been also from all this energy let go, like john said. and I agree 100%.

 

anyway, the brits arrived and I wanted to queue with them, so I moved to the queueing part with kath, abbey, rose and sariflor and we had a good time together, sitting and chatting.

 

after 3pm no one was allowed to go out of the queueing bareer anymore and we leartn 1st 2000 were separated from the rest to enter first on pelouse, which was a great idea. for that reason we all had yellow wristbands.

 

stdium is great but I had imagined it biogger, though it was quite a show to see it fully packed up and all beaming for mika when the show was on.

 

we ended up next to the frenchies right under the catwalk, so we could enjoy a good view of our boy whenever he got to the front of the catwalk, which was nto as often as we 'd have wished: insatiable as we are..

 

opening acts were ok, esp. panic at the disco (to me) whom I saw again the day after in arras. yelle's.. yelle and though nice, I get quickly bored of the sound, probably because I don't get the lyrics.

 

dyonisos was ok for the 1st song, very goth original sound, but then they turned out to be quite ehm.. mad.. esp. the lead singer.. ask sariflor.. he jumped onto crowd a few times: it was more jumping onto them than stage diving. madness.

they got a good feedback from crowd.

 

then it came out boy, the gigantic show machine perfectly organised, very spectacular, yet still the usual vintage that's his characteristic brand.

I loved it all and found it very enterteining. I knew I'd have missed the little venues "contact" he got us used to, but I also very well knew we could not (and did not) excpect it in parc du princes.

 

the little child (dressed as an astronaut) tip tapping during stuck in the middle (which I had seen also in the afternoon, during reharsals) was very good, and I loved every song.

 

the new back singer (samantha) has got a trenendous voice, really a nice add to the crew.

 

sara looked just stunning.

 

leboutin's and willamson's shoes and outfits looked very good on our boy, but my fave outfit is the one in arras: my god, that was ...

 

from the afternoon "preview", I also knew encores would have been gk and relax (surprise surprise.. ), but since he was saving A LOT his voice in the aftrenoon and hardly sang at all (the others were though, full lungs), what i didn't know was that the gk encore was in french! sounded quite enterteining, though i didn't get a thing.

em tried and explain me the lyrics, later on, bless her and she said the real lyrics were quite reinterpreted, but still it sounded good to us poor unfortunate non french speakers..

a white piano emerged from catwalk just for that part: very classy.

part 2 (more random, than the usual at least.. )

 

awww... rain's already for d/l! *d/ls* god I LOOOOOVE that song!!! it's so good..

 

aftre gig, guess what we did...

 

we had out share of wait, but enjoyed it a lot, chatted with many mfc'ers I was really pleased to meet (I may forget some, I apologise, not meant): clelia (all the way from brasil: impressive!), melman, biche, aurelien (again), babs and jemma, allegra and many more.

 

the band came and we had a chat, esp. with the new guy, david, mikey and martin.

 

robertina, be jealous: when mika came, john got straight to me and allegra and kissed us on both cheeks

 

and I had a chance to give him my little (private) thing for his bday (to mika I mean, not john...) and he was beaming about it. he got to me directly asking how I am, if I liked the show and he was expecting already my daughter's drawing for him (as usual), so yes, I'm pleased enough..

no pics taken of him, the gig or whatsoever: I'll just snag everyone else's

yes, tired enough. arras esp. was VERY hard, being a festival we had to stand for so long and my back could hardly take it. BUT it was well worth it and ehm....

 

i know what i said but.. ehm.. i think there may be another gig for me in july..

Emotion, excitation, surprises ,.... I went through many differents sensations in this stadium.

 

This concert was for me in one word : MAGIQUE.

So here is my share of things:

I've arrived to the stadium at 9:30 in the morning and met Em & Niki27 there by a coincidence. Although i had a seated ticket i decided to devote the day to the whole queuing and meeting people and mfc'ers, although this was very limited meeting thanks to security not letting me stand next to the barrier.

Like Avoca wrote, when she arrived we walked around the area with Fanny then Fanny noted that she thinks it's Mika singing on the stage, which made us run like crazy towards a small area of the stadium where you could see the stage and we saw Mika rehearsing. He looked very stressed and i don't blame him, this was about to be one of the biggest nights of his career i bet and he invested so much in it, anyway, we stayed there for sometime singing and then leaving back to the queue and going back to that area of the stadium to see more of Mika, Then Rose, Sariflor & Kath arrived and we went back to the qeue to find Andy filming & interacting with people about the gig and such.

Then Rose, Sariflor, Kath and her daughter & Avoca went to the queue, i sadly couldn’t join them as i had a seating ticket so i decided to leave the area for a bit and get back later, this is when i decided to ask the girls to pose with the MFC flag for a pic (hope you dont mind me posting this):

Moving on to the concert, I really enjoyed watching Yelle as the first opening act, she was very energetic and get the crowd going plus I had a small chance to view someone dancing like a man possessed to her music (guess who, name starts with A ), I was sitting a bit far from the stage but close to a spot where Mika’s family have hung out, so I manage to see his siblings, mum & dad and probably other family members and friends, I could tell how they were all excited.

The beginning of the gig was magical, it was simply like a circus show with clowns, acrobats and so many other things, Billy Brown being played in a different way with images on the huge screen then everything slowed down & the intro to Relax has started, the whole crowd went wild then Mika came on stage which made everyone including me go crazy and scream so much. Hearing 50000 people scream is a one of a kind experience LOL. I had a sitting ticket but actually I was standing the whole time dancing and singing and enjoying my time. I thought the new keyboard player was good, he was also very friendly to fans after the gig. The new song is simply to die for its charming, beautiful, sad & if this an indication on how the new album will be then it’s going to be even better then LICM. I still can’t get it out of my head.

The show was electrifying, it was Mika’s imagination & creativity all over the place and it made this evening truly one of a kind. From the kid who was tap dancing during SITM to the big big finally with lollipop till the encore with Mika singing Grace Kelly in French and Relax was sang by the whole crowd.

 

After the show everyone went away and a selection of people went to wait for Mika, who came for a signing session and greet fans. Before he came, the band have stopped by to say hello to the fans and I finally had my chance to talk to Cherrise and tell her how much I adore her drum playing. Then I had also spoken very briefly with Martin and complimented to him on the hat he had on, which made Micky who was standing close as well say to Martin that he should keep it and Martin was very happy everyone loved the hat which added so much to the whole look he had that night. I’ve managed to take pictures with both of them, they are sooo lovely!

 

When Mika came to greet fans he was very relaxed, happy and tired. He moved his way through everyone accepting gifts and giving autographs. I’ve managed to say hello to him and hand over my small gift for him (which I really hope he enjoyed it, Rose do ask him tomorrow LOL) which he said thank you very much and then he moved slowly to the rest of the people standing, signed few more autographs and then he had to leave.

 

 

This evening was simply incredible, . I am so happy I have decided to come especially for this show, spending money I don’t have all just to come meet mfc’ers to seeing all of this amazing show comes to live.
