I love how this was the biggest gig and this thread has like the least reports :naughty:

Yes, i find it kinda starnge yet funny too.

I posted my report few pages ago, 4 days after the gig. I can sum it up perfectly as every other word in my report was either amazing, fantastic or incredible. :naughty:

I would love to hear what you thought about the show!:thumb_yello:

I need to clear it up a bit first, I'll post it asap!:bleh:

i actually hardly ever post reports here on mfc :blush-anim-cl: when i'm done writing them on the Polish forum i'm so tired i can't make myself write them in English. last one from Amsterdam had 4,500 words :insane: that was my personal record :naughty: i have to write lots of essays for my English Studies and it's always painful to reach 1,500 words yet it took me less than two hours to write the report..

just for the record, if it wasn't for the horrible exhibitionist that i met walking alone in the middle of Paris at 3 am, my report from Parc des Princes would be 100% positive :wink2: I'm very happy i managed to go there in the end :wub2: can't get no Mika gig without sacrifice :wink2: it was worth it though.

so here comes my report, it's meant to go on my blog afterwards,so there are a lot of things that have already been said, if you don't wanna read it, don't :bleh:

I took the train to paris on the 3rd already, met niki at the train station « gare du nord » and we went together by subway to Em’ place. The hardest part was getting my suitcase through those thingies at the access to the subway. We had a nice evening, watched bits of the DVD, and laughed a lot lol

The next day we arrived at the venue at about 9 :30 am, there were already about 30 people, the first had arrived apparently at 4. The beginning of the waiting was awful, we didn’t really know where to go, we were being told something different every 5 minutes. But then it got better, once they had put up the fences. We got wristbands which would make sure we would get to the front. Thing is, the place were we had to wait was in the sun, no shadow whatsoever, so we all ended up sunburnt. Oh well, I prefer this to rain or to the cold! During the waiting we could get out to go eat some fries and all in all time passed rather quickly I thought. It was like sunbathing and chatting with friends haha At one moment the grey van arrived and Olga got on it. When she got back, she told us Mika was in it and asked her to pick 50 people for a meet and greet. I learned later that she had picked me and niki, so nice.

The doors opened at about 4 :30 pm, so we hurried, then entered the wrong door by mistake :boxed: and then ran, whenever there was no security guard. I pulled niki during the whole run, the poor girl almost lost her shoe lol But we made it front row! We didn’t realize at first that we actually had a very good spot! We were at the left of the huge catwalk, but could still see him quite well when he was on the actual stage, although he was far away. Plus we were handed out as much water as we wanted which was quite necessary with that heat! We had to wait for quite some time inside, but thank god we could sit down. The three first parts were quite boring, we were happy when those were over lol

But then Mika’s show started, it can’t be compared to any of the other ones, it was a completely different dimension. There were clowns everywhere, so many things were going on at the same moment, we couldn’t see everything. It was crazy! It’s hard to remember everything. We kinda missed his appereance on stage, suddenly he was there, wearing an amazing golden-silvery jacket. Relax was amazing as always, the crowd was on fire too, there had been a huge wave before the gig had even started. During Big Girl there were huge inflatable legs on the stage, a big diet coke and a pizza were carried around by the crowd and we got almost squeezed under the diet coke lol there were about 10 big girls in fancy dresses on the stage. During the whole gig animations were played in the background, for example during ring ring there would be the part of a phone where you dial the number etc. and during SiTM a kid was dancing on his piano. Then he played « Rain » which I immediately fell in love with. It was amazing to see how quiet the crowd was, like deadsilent and after the song there was some huge cheering and mika looked so happy, he was smiling and all. Then I just can’t get enough, which is just amazing, the crowd went crazy again. At some point Saranayde was dressed in a huge blue dress and raised towards the ceiling or something. Then there was this Chinese dragon that mad his way through the path between the stage and the crowd. For Lollipop there were the big girls, the clowns, lots of ballons, confetti and all, even more than usually. As encore he sang GK in French in an acoustic version. A piano had raised out of the catwalk right in front of us, so he was playing it just there! We really had a good spot! Only thing that was annoying was that all the photographers kinda blocked our view at that moment lol the crowd went mad, I loved that version of GK. Afterwards he played a different version of relax.

So we went out to wait and see if this meet and greet thingie was really gonna happen. We literally waited for hours not knowing where to go, wandering around the whole stadium. We saw a few grey vans go out and thought every time okay now he’s gone, but the security guards were still there and they told us indirectly that he was still inside. At 1 :30 am he finally came out and signed some stuff. He kinda went passed me and forgot to sign my ticket (I really must be invisible), but somehow came back, I think he said Hi signed and talked to others. I’ll never understand what I have done to him, that makes him ignore me haha

So when he was gone, we took a taxi back to Em’s place, after we had looked for one for quite some time. Em’ and avoca went to bed, niki and I went online and we just had to upload Rain, because everybody was begging for it. After some difficulties, partly due to my lack of talent in anything technology related :roftl:, we finally managed to upload it and write a short report of the gig. Next thing you know it was 8 am and Em’ and avoca were already leaving for Arras. Then we finally went to bed.

Thanks for your report and the pictures. It was great to read :thumb_yello:

Re the Madonna gig in Wembley on Thursday, there are lots of reports that the sound was really bad.

I found this quite interesting because Jemma and I found the sound at PDP extremely disappointing. And the visuals, come to that.

Is bad sound indicative of stadium gigs? Does it depend where in the stadium you are?

When you pay so much for a stadium ticket, you do expect more, IMO.
