I dressed up from the Somerset House gig onwards as a penguin. When I wore it in Munich, it got Andys, and Mikas attention, which had me being stalked by a camera for a period of approximately 3 months! Which led to the legendary road trip with Andy from Birmingham to Doncaster, the 1st anniversary of which is on Monday. I retired it at the Brixton afterparty in February. I oficially envy you. Yes, and two of the sweetest, nicest guys you could ever hope to meet oh wow! how cool! you're lucky to have that experience and have mika know you.. i still dream of going to a gig someday The whole experience was very surreal, with Andy following me (and blinding me, with that ruddy light on the camera! ha ha.) The funniest thing was when I asked him why he kept following me, was it some project he was doing. All he would say is "the boss told me to". So me being the thicko that I am, thought he was being charged to do it by one of the management from the record company or maybe John the tour manager. But when I went through a whole list of people of who the boss might be, he just kept shaking his head grinning at me. When I couldn't think of anyone else, I frustratedly said who else then, but all he did was grin some more, and just kept looking at me, to see when the penny would drop. Then it did! I said "not Mika?" and he just smiled and nodded his head. When I asked why, he just smiled and shrugged, and to this day I still haven't found out why! The road trip rocked, 3 girls in costume with a crazy cameraman, driving 70 miles. The great thing was our hotel was smack bang beside the venue, so not far to walk:wink2: The other 2 were Bexxy, as a Lollipop Girl and Sandi as a reindeer(it was the Christmas dress up night, I changed into a snowman when we got there) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Initially, it was just gonna be me Bexx and Sandi, as I had hired a car for the three days and they were going to both Birmingham shows, and I was only going to the first and we were all going to Doncaster. On the second night I was going to do the coffee/tea/food runs while everyone was queueing, and stay in the bar next door during the gig and bring the car around when the gig had finished for us to start driving up and stay in a Travelodge on the way. But on the first night, Andy showed his powers of persuasion again, asking if I was going to the second gig to which I told him I wasn't as I didn't have a ticket and wasn't paying the prices that touts sold them for. Then he started! If I could get a ticket would I go? Obvious answer of course I would, but the gig had been sold out for weeks so it wasn't going to happen. Again he persisted, if I could would I? Again I said yes of course I would. So later on he came back and asked me what my full name was. I asked him what he wanted to know for, but he just said what is it. So I told him, and he said you are on the guest list for tomorrow night, go to the box office when it opens and get your ticket! Could have knocked me down with a feather! So the next night, he continually interviewed myself Bexx and Sandi, and at tne end asked what my driving was like, to which Bexx and Sandi started to take the micky out of it. But asked me what I thought my driving was like, and I said I was careful when I have passengers (1 little glitch with Caz taking her home after Munich, but I was very tired, and she kept bellowing in my ear to keep me awake!). So he asked if it would be okay to drive with us and do another in depth interview on the way. I had to think about it a while, but spoke to him when we met Mika after and said okay.
