Lol, I love the song, but I don't like when Mika says GOLDEEEEN. I am weird, and maybe the only one who thinks he says it extremely weird?

Dunno....he's cheeky but still...somehow..his "golden" makes me giggle...

And this song is totally Queen. If he got the Freddie comparison on the prev album, he will get it again for this. :D

Anyway I LOVE IT! REALLY! I can't wait for the album.

Indeed the way he says GOLDEN is a bit weird:naughty: but that part gets petter after playing it a couple of times :biggrin2:

Specify please for me!!! What we hear at Perez is not the full version of a song? It only a fragment?

Well, it's over 3 minutes .. Why would you think it's only a fragment? :wink2:

I actually really like the part where he sings 'Goooolden' :teehee:

And my video has been blocked, I can still watch it. but no one else can.

I'm sorry if people think I really have done something wrong, will not post a Mika song that isn't official out yet ever again. SorrySorrySorry

Or they'll rip the song from your youtube video, post it on their blogs

all over the internet so that no one needs to go out and buy the single

and Mika loses the sales, not to mention making it on the charts. I don't

know if you saw, but we did ask that people not post the song

around the forum and even though you have it on youtube, you are

posting the link everywhere, and it's easy enough for anyone to

make an mp3 out of it.

From the MFC Guidelines:

5. Any Mika-related material that can be purchased through regular channels

cannot be posted. This includes all studio recordings, clips from the Live in

Cartoon Motion or Parc des Princes DVD, iTunes files, etc.

In addition, we ask that demos and

studio outtakes not be posted on MFC, as Mika has specifically requested

those items not be shared.

As I said yesterday, I think it would be nice if we respected

all the time and effort Mika puts into his music and art by not making it

available to any person who happens across this forum who may

or may not eventually purchase the single or the album. Obviously

we can't control everything you do, but were hoping you'd give that

some consideration.

I agree with you dcdeb! I think it's wrong to post the song on YouTube, because then you've lost control of it! I want Mika's song to be a hit, and if people are passing the link around, no one will buy the single!

I know it's on mikasounds, but it's not the full version of the song.

I think all the YouTube versions of We Are Golden should be removed for Mika's sake.

They've been removed already, as you might have seen:wink2:

I don't think that's what happens. that if you post a song on yt no one will buy the single, enough examples to prove how yt/i'net overall can help an artist to sell more music. But I do think we're maybe a bit to fast with uploading and we should wait till the official release date in september :thumb_yello:

I do not see the smooth beginning of the song. At once it is sharp

It is visible, that begins with breakage:wink2:

I'm glad they've been removed and I'm not trying to be a killjoy by saying that about YouTune, it's just that Mika has worked so hard, and after all, we can now hear We Are Golden on the radio. On the one hand, of course Youtube can promote a song, but then people can also download it and not buy the single. To be on the safe side, I agree that when the single has come out and had a chance to get to number one, then there's no harm in putting it on YT. But until then it's best not to. After all, Mika has kept this song under wraps for months so that it wouldn't be leaked ahead of time.

What are the rules again on passing around MP3 links? I have the HQ version :)

posted by dcdeb

just a friendly mod-type reminder here -- we don't allow trading of mp3's

of Mika's official singles here on the forum, so if anyone rips

We Are Golden from the radio

broadcasts, please don't post it here or we'll have to take it

down.
