Part 2

So, after Starrats arrived, more and more MFCers came and well, still a lot of us didn't have tickets. Funny thing is that 4 out of 5 m&gs were won by MFCers so we were really happy with that. To make a long story short, at 6 only 2 of us still had no tickets. While the others were outside trying to get tickets, Monie, me, Nielo and Melissa were in the café listening to the interview with Mika and he mentioned that there were already fans at 9 am! It was 10 but whatever, I still wonder how he knew. Anyways, at the end we had to queue at the side of the building, because the main entrance was for 'real guests'. So we went to the side and then Babet and José came and told us they got tickets so now everyone had tickets and we were very happy! Then we were waiting at the door and we could hear the soundcheck. He did a lot of songs (Including How much do you love me, for all you fans!) and we sang along and I befriended the security and then John came out and said: Oh it snows and went back in.

Well then it was time to go in. It went very smoothly, they 2 people in at a time. So Nielo and I walked in and I said my name and then the girl said: Oh you're not on the list. I panicked and said, I won today! But luckily I was on a different list and the girl told us to be at the back of the stage at 8. So all of us m&gers went to the back of the stage and waited a long time. The girl who escorted us was running around all the time and in the meantime, all those ahum, VIP's stared at us as if we were a bunch of monkeys in the zoo. In the end we were taken upstair to the VIP lounge and they were even more looking at us like we were idiots. Only 2 of them were famous anyway so they weren't interesting at all.

Then our girl came back and said the meet was after. We walked to the elevator and she said NO hold up! Maybe it's before. But it turned out to be after and we went back to the others. We managed to struggle our way to the second row and I had a PERFECT view. Off to part 3...da gig!

I shall tease you even more. IT SOUNDED AMAZING!

He didn't do it during the gig though.

Gig:

I can be short. F*CKING AWESOME. A bit short, and the talking people were annoying. Mika was clearly bothered and David and Mika were having a silent convo about it and David motioned “What should I do?” and Mika said: “I want them to go away” and David did something and then Mika showed his middlefinger to him and then to us and we were like: oooohh! And then Mika said: “Nooooooooooooooooooo never!”

Only the front 4 rows were participating full of energy so we had a lot of eyecontact. It was awesomeness!

Now the part you've been waiting for. The meet and greet!

Part 4: The Meet & Greet

After the gig we went back to the main hall and waited there for a while. There was one other guy who tried to join but they wouldn't let him and now also the Belgian winner joined us. So, we all got into the elevator and Miek and I were with our faces against the door and the doors opened and we were in the same hall, but this time, the whole room was deserted apart from Mika and 2 other people, and the band in the dressing room. So, my hero a.k.a Ferry came to get us and we had to walk past Mika and pretend he wasn't there. Then Ferry explained the whole idea, told us they were in a hurry so no individual pics, and people probably had to catch their trains anyway, then he nodded at me and said: Apart from her, because she will probably stay somewhere in Amsterdam again. Then John came and asked where the pic was going to be taken. Ferry said in front of the Christmas tree. John nodded and said; Yeah that's appropriate and then he walked away.

So we had to get into our positions in front of the tree and then Mika came walking our way, really calm and shook all of our hands. Then we handed him our presents. I gave him a book from Andy Warhol, on behalf of the Dutchies and when he opened it, his mouth fell open and he said: “Omg what is this?” To which all of us witty Dutchies replied at the same time: “Uh...it's a book.” He said: “Yeaaah but what's it about? I read the alphabet by Andy Warhol but this isn't it, this must be his diaries! I haven't read this one! Thank you so much I will definately read it over Christmas!” Then he started signing and I had a mission. And that mission was to get a welcome video for my site. I knew this was probably the only chance I would get in a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time and so after everyone had their stuff signed, I decided to try it. It went like this:

“Mika, I have a fansite about you called mikafans.net” and then, totally unexpected, he immediately replied with: “Oh, I know that one!” I almost had a heart attack, but I had to go on, so I continued and said: “ok, can I film a video of you as a welcome message, something like hi, this is Mika and you're visiting Mikafans.net?” I thought that maybe he'd say no because of the time, but he said “Yeah ofcourse! We could do a quick one right now!” So, he continued the sign the last thing and I pressed record and the camera was shaking so bad! So then he did his message and I had already stopped it and then he decided to add: “Oh and happy hanuka!” Or however you spell that. But it's not on the video.

I figured while I was at it, I could let him sign the banner, so I said: “I was one of the fans waiting outside in the morning with this sign, could you sign it?” He didn't say anything but started drawing fully focused. He first drew a sad, wet heart, added an arrow that said COLD and then he drew a very happy heart and an arrow and wrote NOT COLD and then Mika xxx. After a while I figured out the first one was me in the morning and the second one was me during the gig. Then it was time for the group pictures and then time to go. We thanked him and he said: No thank YOU for everything you've done this year.

Then I walked away and Ferry came to me and we walked away, Mika walking right behind me and he said: “Are you happy?” I said “YES! Thank you soooo much!” And he said I was welcome and that he'd see me in March. When we were going inside the elevator, I shouted at him: “I owe you forever!” and he just smiled and said it was all okay.

We went downstairs and met with the other MFCers. We got something to drink and then started dancing like mad. Funny thing was that then a guy came up to me and asked me if I was Mika's sister. I said no, then I'd probably not speak Dutch. And he said: “Oh, but your face is very similar!” I thanked him for the huge compliment.

When we went outside, we got a goodiebag with TBWKTM standard edition so we now have two! It was the best night ever! And I shall now work on the vlog. YAAAH

So to close this. THANK YOU FERRY. I LOVE YOU AND I OWE YOU FOREVER!

THANK YOU NICE PEOPLE AT Q-MUSIC FOR TAKING CARE OF US LUNATICS FROM EARLY IN THE MORNING AND TELLING THE DJS ABOUT US!

THANK YOU MFCERS FOR BEING SO F*CKING AMAZING! LOVE YOU!

AND THANK YOU MIKA, FOR ONCE AGAIN AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE. I ALSO LOVE YOU!

I'm guessing he didn't really wanna do it. Although, then why do it? He could've picked another song if he wanted to. :naughty:

I'm not sure, but it couldn't have been much more than 200 people. (Sorry, I'm terrble at estimating the number of people. :roftl:)

That's the downside of showcases (upside: small venue!), but most of the people are just on some business outing and couldn't care less about the artist. They prefer the free booze. :sneaky2:

guess it also had to do with the acoustic of the place, the way it sounded in the video. maybe at a different venue, no one would've noticed them talking at the back, but it was just echoeing very loudly. no excuse for those ppl of course, they DID know that it was loud and should've stopped... but what i mean is, i couldn't tell whether anyone was talking in the back in hanover, they might have, but there was carpet on the floor, so it didn't echoe like in a hall, and no one noticed.

maybe those q music ppl told him which songs to do? :dunno:

I hope he will be doing it at the European gigs :teehee:

didn't sound like it in hanover. graciosa asked him, will we get it in march, and the answer clearly suggested that if he has the choice, he certainly won't. think he said sth like "guess not", or just pulling a face, i don't remember... anyway, i won't get my hopes up about hearing that song in march. sigh. :crybaby:

don't underestimate him, our little stalker has his eyes and ears everywhere! :roftl::naughty:

No, he decided himself. He had written all his songs down on a note and choose that way:roftl:

And we were just booing at the talking people, screaming SHUUUT UUUUUPPPPP, but they didn't listen!
