Oh my god, they were?

YES! :lmfao: Read and weep baby:

S'alright, us (Southern, like me) Brits often get mistaken for being Australian (although South African accents and Australian accents sound more alike in my opinion).

The amount of times I've been mistaken for being Australian by customers at work. And they're British customers

I would. I know what you're all aboot in Trawna, eh? :naughty:

Caz, you should just roll with it. Tell the customers your parents ran a eucalyptus grove for koala conservation or something. Start greeting people with "g'day, mate" for added effect. :naughty:

LMAO :lmfao::lmfao: But I don't even know how to do an Australian accent! Honestly, if you said to me "Do an Aussie accent right now" I'd have no idea how to do it.

Me and my friend literally had a conversation where we would go.

"OK, about."

"You don't say aboot at all. Now do me, About."

"No, you don't say aboot either."

"About."

"About."

"About."

"About."

Whoa. I have no idea what you're saying in your post. What's this about "About" and "Aboot"? I get "Aboot" is someone's accent when saying "about" but...what? :aah:

I have only ever heard one Canadian in my life say "aboot". I so don't get it. :roftl:

Although some guy in California heard my cousin say she was spending her day "out and about" and he thought she said "out on a boat." Which is funny, 'cause the California accent is only subtly different from ours. :roftl:

I think next time I'm in London I'ma fake a British accent everytime I go into a Starbucks or something. See if anyone calls me on it. :naughty:
