Another late report :naughty:

 

Drove up on the day with Kath and Vicky, decided it was a long way to walk to the venue in the cold so we got a taxi. The BGs and LGs had left the queue by then, so didn't get to meet everyone. But I got to meet scg at last:thumb_yello:

 

The people in the queue were pretty lively, first Mika gig for a lot of them. There were several fans in amazing t-shirts they had decorated themselves (and when they lined up it spelt out "We Are Golden" on the back). I wish I'd taken a picture of them.

 

Other people have said about the debacle with the doors and scanners, though I got in quite easily. I was sort of on the front row, but trying to keep sideways on so that Rose could see, and we'd made room for Laurel as well.

 

It was a pretty amazing gig. Loved the way the dancing during Blue Eyes is developing, by the time he gets to London half the audience will be fainting :swoon:. And Touches You just isn't a long enough song :mf_lustslow:.

 

Mika's singing has been pretty faultless thoughout this tour, I was worried it might be cracking up a bit by now as he really throws himself into his songs, but he sounded fine during the M&G. That was probably the biggest crowd that he has had waiting for him so far, but I think everyone got their Mika time.

 

(It was cold, btw.)

Just came back home.

Thanks for the pics and reports ! I'll do mine mater cause I have to study for exams tomorrow :teehee:

 

But this night was dreamy :wub2:

I've always wanted to be a Lollipop Girl and this really happened !

I enjoyed it so much ! :blush-anim-cl:

Me neither, I'm in France tonight, I Have to study for exams, and I can't believe what happened !

 

I'll made my report tomorrow, because it'll take too much time in English, and I've already done one in French ! :naughty:

I have a couple of videos, not the best quality but nice reminders! As soon as I figure out how to post them, I will!!

That was THE best gig of my life! I'm plotting how to get to more gigs at the moment, once was not enough!!

Nice to see so many Scots on the board! :biggrin2:

 

That is just the problem, once you've seen one gig you just want to keep going to more. :naughty:

 

It becomes an addiction :mf_rosetinted:

After the Finale went back to dressing room and changed back into our clothes which was rubbish as i loved wearing the BG costume:naughty: Mrs P asked if we could help take the 'heads' down to the storage trunks so they could be put on to the lorry. Once we had done this we waited for a short while and then John came to take us to meet MIKA:mf_lustslow: We went into a room to see him and get our photograph taken as a group, john told us all to give him our cameras and he took all the pictures which i tought was a nice touch. i was satnding right next to MIka and i just looked up at him and said Wow! i knew you were tall but not that tall, after i said it i felt like a bit of a muppet:aah: But then Mika said to me oh! you smell nice what is it it smells like strawberry, i said to him that it was my chewing gum!! ( i felt like a schoolkid caught chewing gum in class) He then asked if he could have some and Anjy got it out my bag for me and gave it to him. Then he randomly siad something about things that taste this good can cause brain damage:boxed: I just sort of laughed in a stupid fangurly sort of way... he took a piece and handed it back and Anjy said he could keep it , he said are you sure and she said yes no problem to which he replied aw thanks, it was such a crazy moment:wub2: after a few more conversations with the other girls (which i'm sure they will tell you about themselves), it was time to leave, i was walking on cloud 9. Just as me and Anjy were walking away he shouted to us thanks for the gum! Ever the polite young man:wub2:

So that concludes my report , but i just have to add that i did not believe my first Mika gig would be as amazing as this, i can hons=estly say it has been one of the best nights of my life:wub2:

 

Lovely report, I did enjoy it.

Part 4 ....

 

Can I skip the waiting and Erik Hassle bit .... I hate waiting ... I had a really really large guy pressing up against me really pushy ... but noone else seemed to be pushing much as far I could tell .... he was doing this all through the wait and Erik ... I'm used to crowds ... Feck ... I've been to Oasis, Blur and alot of moshing indie crowds ... but the way he was pressing up against me was giving me the creeps ... and especially during the end of Eriks set and Mika coming on ... he was making me feel really uncomfortable both phyically and by giving me the creeps ... I finally started to push him backwards before Mika came on ... but seriously ... he was giving me the eeby jeebies ... I could feel ... everything .... Thank god he seemed to disappear just before Mika came on .... I was slightly relieved.

 

I don't even know where to start with the gig ... and can't remember most of the set order .... but thinking about it now ... it still gives me tingles ... not just my place at the barrier and the amount of eye contact I got (Again Kath ... Vicky :bow::bow: I'm seriously gonna buy you a bottle of wine or something at Newcastle) You made my flipping night ... but he was just .... extraordinary .... I can't even imagine another artist making me have the range of emotions he makes he have when I see him ... Any Other World ... made me cry ... I knew it would ... it means the world to me that song ... and In a way I'm glad the guy stopped me filming ... just so I could enjoy everything - He's on top of his game at the moment ... and I can't keep my eyes off anything he's doing .... I See You ... the way he moves with the umbrella ... it's just really beautiful ... Touches You ..... :swoon: Waited months and months to see that ... and god ... it didn't disappoint .... just :aah: Blue Eyes .... how did I miss anyone mentioning about what he does during Blue Eyes ... DA .... if you read this ... you are gonna ****ing die .... My mouth was nearly on the floor when he started doing those moves .... and his face ... when they started screaming ... (I don't scream - I was too shocked too scream) Wowzers ..... He flipping loved the screams .... It's nice to see him so much more confident ..... When did he start dancing so sexy ... and I mean ... it looks so effortless ... and it's such a simple thing he's doing ... but god ... I wish I'd got a video of that ... Newcastle .... Newcastle .....

Love the theatrics with Doctor John .... Love the fact a matching feather boa appeared suddenly and was waved around by us ... who's was that ... it was so apt :boing:

Good Gone Girl .... I'm really really glad he's doing this live now .... I just love it .... I could go on and on about every single song he did last night but ..... :aah: Their are no words :wub2:

I loved the bit with our girls during Love Today ..... You were all amazing .... I'm gonna do this ... definitely in Birmingham ... I just hope I'm chosen ... If not I shall just have to watch another amazing gig ... Drat .... :teehee:

We Are Golden ... I'm so so so so sorry Jazzy for bringing that up last night ... I wasn't expecting him to do it ... but I think he was feeding off the crowd (who were just completely amazing last night) but :aah: I wasn't complaining .... he's quite nice to look at shirtless :teehee:

Lollipop ... how much do I love the new intro to Lollipop :wub2: I still love this song as the ending to the show ... it just works ...... it leaves you on a high ... and always makes you want so much more .... and I have 5 more to look forward too .... I wish I was seeing him tonight and not tomorrow night ... I'm an impatient soandso .. but god ... am I now happy that I bought so many tickets to see him :wub2:

 

Writing these reports will never do him justice ... nothing I can say will ever come close to how he made me feel last night ... just that ... right now .... I ****ing love him to bits

 

 

Great report Laurel, thanks for writing it. I 'm not sure... but I think you enjoyed it?

That was mine :biggrin2: - spotted it in a shop after I had seen the Sheffield gig - wore it to Leeds where Vicky and I waved it around during Dr John, so we thought we would do the same in Glasgow.

 

It moults though - keep finding feathers everywhere :sneaky2:. Gets into more places than the gold glitter :rolls_eyes:
