Everyone can be a Freak, if they want to be, it's not exclusive.

Just check the numbers on the Eden RSVP thread, whichever numbers are available, pick one and that'll be your Freak number, and you can take the front and back designs from the thread, and get a t shirt made, put your number on the back, with a little message or phrase if you like:thumb_yello:

wow didnt know we still could get em made! I still want my. Will fix that wednesday or thursday

Just a quick note, i'm super busy: :aah:

the background screen was broken all the gig

so it was quite funny that during the maximum effort of the popstar to do his performance in the screen behind him was written:

"data not found"

"system error"

or maybe during a particular intense vocal note:

"try again, reload data"

:lmfao:

hello freaks here and there :bye:

Just a quick note as I'm just home and verrry tired now!

That was THE single, most amazing experience in my life!!! I can't believe I was a BG!:biggrin2: I was utterly terrified and my glasses kept fogging up under my big head, but I didn't fall over! :roftl: I was sure I was going to topple off the stage when I was dancing! I can barely even remember much, it all kind of just went in a blur, but I'll post as memories keep coming back.

I think the most mortifying thing ever was getting stuck in that kaftan thingy we were given to cover up our costumes...It wouldn't go over my chest so I got stuck with my arms above my head...Mika seen it and laughed!:blush-anim-cl::roftl:

It was brilliant meeting you all, what an amazing bunch of freaks you all are!:wub2: I can't wait for Edinburgh!!:biggrin2::biggrin2:

Oh...and in the group photo of us with Mika...my face is blurred!!:aah::sad: Typical, trust me to move...Guess that's motivation to make sure I get another photo with him! Ah well, at least I know I was there! lol

WOW. Just woke up from a 14 hour sleep. So, here we go with the report.

We got to Eden around 10ish and went inside, checked out the stage and saw a couple of girls already queueing - mad! We went and got ice creams and then headed into the rainforest biome, which was absolutely boiling but really awesome. The waterfall was so nice at the top. Then we went to chill for a bit before we headed into the mediterranean biome, but I ditched that pretty quickly because it was being awful with my hayfever so I headed out and found Rose!

After a short while, we had all gathered up some tables and were drinking and chatting...and then Ingie started customising everyone's tshirts, hahaha. All I'll say is poor poor Fred. Bless him. He had to wrap his England flag round him to leave himself with some dignity. And so people couldn't see the 'Sexy Bitch' on his lower back with an arrow pointing downwards. :naughty:

So we went to watch the England match and ditched it after Germany scored for the second time, and headed down to join everyone else in the queue. I put my picnic blanket out and we were sunbathing while listening to the soundcheck, which is definitely the way all queueing should happen, it was great, everybody chilling out in the nice weather.

Maria came over after a little while and I thought 'why not?' - Fred, Ingie, Sharon, Zoey and Caz were all doing it, and it's a million times more fun when you're with great friends so I headed over and was immediately picked to be a big girl because there weren't that many girls of a more rounded nature. LOL Maria said 'can we have the thin girls over here' and she was about to say something to the potential big girls and I just said 'say it delicately, say it delicately' and she laughed, hahah. I think she said 'perfectly rounded' or something similar, but it was funny anyway.

So Ingie got picked (I'd asked Maria, and Sharon kept saying 'Ingie Ingie Ingie!') and when boys were getting picked, her hand went straight up into the air and she got picked! Excellent! When we got backstage they realised they only had three boys, so Mrs P asked if I would be a boy because I'm tall, and I was absolutely fine with it. No faffing about with frilly pants and massive heads - couldn't be bothered on a hot day, ha!

We went backstage just as Yasmine and Fortuné were coming out, and Yasmine said 'WOW!' and Fred's shirt and laughed at all the customising Ingie had done, and Foruné grinned at it. Yay!

We were sitting on the bench while everyone was getting sorted out costume wise and Andy came over to have a chat, asked about Rose (bless) and even said hello to me which puzzled me a bit because I didn't even realise he knew me but maybe he just remembered my face from Dammy...or was just being polite. Either way, it was dead sweet. Sharon called me over, and Mrs P had been asking her about the tshirts apparently, and had asked if we had any more. This made my day big time.

Then the main man came over (in all his shorts and tight 3/4 sleeve tshirt glory *flail*) grinned at me and Ingie then went straight to Fred, clapped a hand on his shoulder and said 'good to see you'. It was dead cute, he had a massive smile on his face and I could see his eyes through his sunglasses and they were creased at the sides and there was a little sparkle in them. GUH. The man has magic in his eyes, I swear it. Then he disappeared...I think he must have disapparated or something cos he was gone, just like that.

After a while we got told we would have to carry the doll on and all of that business, then got sent outside, so we went to chill on a sofa and rest up a bit before our big performance. The big girls and lollipops had to go back at 8.15 to get costumed up but we didn't need to so we headed over to the show just before it started and got a really good spot a fair few rows back, but on the right height so we were at the same level as the stage - it was perfect anyway because I still managed to get eye contact a few times from that far back which was mad, but when you get it, you just know, and I got that feeling. I would have thought I was way too distant but maybe it was because of the height, I dunno, but it was a nice surprise.

We headed backstage at the end of Rain and pulled on our black clothes - we had some MC Hammer style trousers which were fun, and Ingie and Fred had black polo shirts, but they weren't just any polo shirts, they were LACOSTE polo shirts. LACOSTE. For random fans carrying on a doll. LACOSTE! They never cease to amaze me. I wore Maria's off the shoulder black top because they'd lost some of the polo shirts, and shortly after I put it on (and I think because I had an Eden sessions lanyard on) one of the guys who worked there came over to me and said 'What's their route on stage?' and I was like 'Oh! I'm not Maria!!' and he nodded and legged it, trying to find her. It was brilliant, hahah.

We then went to get the doll out of his bag with our other boy, Tom, who was dead sweet, bless him. We got on with him really well and he was really up for joining in with us when we were being mental. We had to pull the toy boy's pants up, hahah and then Mrs P told us how she wanted us to lay him on stage.

Anyway, the march came and we headed out, and I was leading the doll, and I had to climb up onto the big moon disc type thing which is massively steep and rough and Mika was kneeling down on it a few feet away and I was just thinking 'don't stack it, don't stack it don't stack it' which isn't easy when your ankle is still mega crap after a sprain a few weeks prior. Still, we put the doll into position, then I had to tip toe my way off of the disc through flowers and toy boy, then lead the rest of us off, but Cherisse stopped drumming and then I heard somebody shout 'Laura I love you!!' (though Ingie heard 'Lozzington!') but either way it just made me burst out laughing and I legged it off.

Anyway, Maria told us we did great because she's nice like that, and then we pulled off our black clothes and Mrs P gave us the Mexican tunics and some bright (pink, in my case) trousers to wear. We put those on and messed around taking photos and planning dances while the show was still going on, but when we got split up Ingie and Fred were on the other side, so mine and Ingie's plans to sandwich Sharon went astray, but I was with Zoey and Caz so that was cool. Zoey was really nervous so I just said to her that I felt sick the first time too, but I wouldn't have done it five times now if it wasn't the best feeling in the world.

We got given masks as well, and I immediately picked the astroboy one, which looked the newest as well, I think they must have picked it up on the asia tour because it had a sticker with some...asian writing in it. (Sorry, I have no idea about the differences!)

We were all rocking out and dancing to Kickass and the crew were smiling and laughing at us, and then the drums started for Lollipop and that familiar 'ohhhh sh*t!' feeling came back, but we headed out on stage and it disappeared, as usual.

I danced even though I don't know how to dance, but I just waved my arms about like always, and grabbed Zoey and we did a bit of hip bumping and then we linked arms and went round in circles, which was fun. My mouth got massively dry but you just have to keep going and it makes me wonder how Mika can do it but I guess that's because he's all nice and fit and never has McDonald's breakfasts, hahahah.

I so hope there's a video of this because words actually CANNOT describe Ingie's moment. It was brilliant. The first I saw was him dragging her over to the centre and then her doing her big running on the spot thing while he was just watching, laughing his head off. Then he grabbed her round the waist from behind and I thought (blimey girl, you've struck gold!) and then the song ended and he pulled her forwards for a bow and then we all got into a bow then headed off stage afterwards.

Fred, Ingie and I got our costumes off straight away and hung them up on the rail, then Imma wandered over, didn't say a word, but had her iphone held up and just gestured for us to move into shot with this big smile on her face and took a photo of us, bless her. Maria then told us to get into three groups for the pictures, and we ended up with the MFC group, which was super nice - me, Fred, Ingie, Caz, Sharon, Zoey, Disturbed Angel (sorry, I can't remember your name!) and her Mum - Lesley, I think? Not sure, sorry ladies! But he had pictures taken with the others then came over to us, got himself between Fred and Sharon and behind Ingie, and we had a picture and chatted a bit. I gave him the shirt which he loved and then the 'I love my freaks' bit happened. He pointed at Fred's shirt and said all the rips were very 'Alan Cummings' and Fred said Ingie had done it and he grinned and said 'oh she's great isn't she?'

Then he had his little fanboy fit over the wristbands, and got all excited when he saw it had his name on it, and even moreso when I told him they glow in the dark. He asked who'd organised it so I told him that Silver had ordered a big batch and given them out to everyone. He was so thrilled with them, he really was - I think we should do it again for Fringe!

We talked to him about fringe and his face completely lit up when he started talking about it - he seems massively excited for it and I know I definitely can't wait. He then walked over to Imogen and bought her over and said 'I want to introduce you to my favourite girl, Imogen Heap' and she was super sweet and said we all looked fantastic. Caz said that they should sing By the Time together and they both just smiled and laughed a little, bless them.

After that we said bye to him, the big girls went to get changed. Maria came in and was saying we were excellent and really great and was just full of praise for us all. I think we had a little chat to Mrs P, and then I went in to get some water, and when I came out, Fred and Ingie had left me! So I had to find my way out with three full cups of water, a rolled up picnic blanket and my handbag though Caz helped me get myself all arranged, so thanks for that my dear!

I headed out, and Mika was out in the outside bit but behind the fence, having a meet and greet with some special needs kids (and made my heart melt as he always does when he's talking to them - most of them were in wheelchairs and he was properly bent down so he was on the same eye level as them and arrrrrgh the man just makes me die every time he does something.) Anyway, I headed out and I could feel a collective intake of breath as the gate was opened for me, and then the release of disappointment when they saw I was 7 inchies too short and much too wide and female to be the person they wanted. I found the others, gave them their water, then we set the picnic blanket up at the back, and sat down there, reliving the experience while Mika came out and signed for everyone (even though they had said that they were going to get him out straight away so they could beat the traffic. I guess he was a bit stubborn and decided to go out anyway, again, he makes me die.)

After that, we headed back to the car, waited an age for Rose to go to loo and then had our own security escort up to the main entrance - we have since decided that this was because Ingie was in mortal peril after having so much body contact from Mika, that jealous little crazies might try and claw her eyes out.

We made it back to the hotel safe and sound, saw the picture that Imma tweeted, and even though I'd spent all day being tired, still stayed up until 2am talking to Viv about it, hahaha.

I can't tell you all how much fun we had this weekend. Everything was just perfect - people, weather, venue, Mika...and we had such an amazing time the night before at Wetherspoons - we had about 4 tables pushed together in the end. I think there were about 20 of us there and it was great. Amazing. We need to have gigs like this more often.

Hope everyone had a safe journey home and I can't wait to see you all again soon!

Pictures coming shortly - the lighting was BRILLIANT for the gig, because it was still light, so I got a few awesome ones. :biggrin2:

It's all right, Sharon texted me. We were all getting panicky because we hadn't heard anything so I was texting everyone who's number I had who was backstage, hahaha.

Massive marks? Was that coming off stage? I honestly don't remember but you're welcome all the same! I think I must have been behind you or something, I went on last I think. I don't really remember seeing you either! I would have danced with you too! Aaah so much funnnn.

Massive marks? Was that coming off stage? I honestly don't remember but you're welcome all the same! I think I must have been behind you or something, I went on last I think. I don't really remember seeing you either! I would have danced with you too! Aaah so much funnnn.

ROFL I meant to say "masks" xD marks, wtf? :lmfao: cos I was worried about them and you tried to reassure me. Oh man, I kept bashing my skull heads against everyone elses! Nightmare. Lord knows what it looks like on the video :aah:

PS: Thanks again for updating the main page!

OHHH masks. Yeah, they're all right really, you just need to get used to them. Visibility isn't amazing but it's also not impossible because you do sort of focus out the bits between the holes, or you look through the nose or out the chin when you need to watch your step, you cope, and everyone bashes heads, so don't worry about it, you won't have been the only one! :aah:

Oh I know I wasn't the only one who had trouble :naughty: I discovered this trick with the holes...you have to look through them and not at them. I know that sounds super obvious, but when that mask is on it's a bit hard :aah:

I tried to find as many MFCers as possible to make sure they got wristbands - went round both entrances several times - so apologies to any members who didn't get one. I was just going to give Mika a wristband at the end, but vickylovesmika managed to throw one up on stage and he picked it up wore it for the rest of the gig :biggrin2:

Thanks for the wristbands Silver, a lovely souvenir. It was lovely to meet you.

Yeah I know exactly what you mean. You need to properly see beyond the head, rather than just inside.
