It's not about not liking a pic, and you know it, but you can keep on pretending nothing's happened, it's ok. Just type #welovemika on Twitter Search and see what you get. Impressive.

What *has* happened? Some people didn't like the pic and said so. Some people liked it and said so. Others decided they wanted to reassure Mika they loved him for some reason.

Why all of this contrived intrigue? Perhaps that's a stupid question.

I love how even Imma tweeted #welovemika :wub2:

Yes I sure do. It's about a couple of people with an axe to grind and you know it. You seemed more than happy to team up with a member here who participated in a year long campaign of abusing Mika on Twitter on a daily basis and suddenly you are so offended by one incident. But you can keep on pretending, it's okay. :wink2:

that's what i was thinking.... comic relief

it would make sense

Well, we certainly could use some comic relief HERE, NOW, that's for sure!

:naughty:

Same here, Sienna. Seems some people would rather perpetuate the

arguing and choose to be offended, rather than choosing to be more

objective and stop flogging a dead horse. :sneaky2:

I don't think it's a stupid question at all. What HAS happened?

Clearly it's NOT just about the clown photo. As with any picture, some

people will like it, others won't. It can't be just about that.

So... some people tweeted to Mika that they didn't like his clown pic,

and some people interpreted his terse two-word tweet "Twitter Bitter"

as his saying that he was devastated by that. And so some now think

they have to reassure him that he is still well-loved.

I'm sorry, but I have a higher opinion of Mika than that -- I don't think

he bases his mental well-being on what we, his fans who he doesn't

really know, say to and about him. We are not Mika's real life -- he's

out and about making music, working with artists and people like

Louboutin and William Orbit and has other projects that we have absolutely

no clue about. He is LIVING A REAL LIFE, of which Twitter and his fans are

just one minuscule part.

If he is predicating how he feels on any given day

on OUR opinions of him, then he has big problems, and I'd like to

tell him, "Mika, get a grip. Real life is harsh, and not everyone will like

everything you do all the time." The thing is, I'm pretty sure he knows

that already -- he's not a little kid whose feelings get hurt so easily.

He's a grown man, and I sure hope he's not at home sitting in his bedroom

crying just because he read a few tweets that were harshly critical. Just like

I also hope he's not feeling overjoyed and proud now that he's read

a few hundred tweets from fans saying how much they love him. I just

don't think he's basing his reality on what we say to him -- at least,

I hope he's not! :dunno:

So why are we arguing amongst ourselves over this? It makes no sense.

Unless you enjoy the bickering, just for bickering's sake.

It's really time to move on and let this whole subject drop.

As I told you on Twitter I really do like this so much better! :lmfao:

In all seriousness it totally changes the tone of the picture.

I don't think it will go so easily, because there will always be something that comes up, that drags up the subject of how we individually communicate with him, whether it be on Twitter, on MS or any other social network site.

And just because some of us have been here since year dot, doesn't mean we have the right to talk down to him, like I saw on Twitter the other day, because we've bought his records, concert tickets etc. He may know us to briefly chat to after shows, but otherwise he doesn't know us from Adam, and I'm sure if someone he met in the street spoke down to him like that, he'd tell them to get lost, only in stronger language than that!

Yes, I'm sure he's got over it by now, and yes he is a big boy, but just because we buy his stuff doesn't mean we can make pointed remarks at him, without expecting him to have some reaction, albeit a pretty cryptic one. Like I've said before he's not the only artist to get negative tweets, and if I can quote Calvin Harris, when he was getting some, about some random stuff he'd tweeted, he told them to f*** off and unfollow him, if they didn't like what he was tweeting. Mika seems to not want to be quite so blunt.

It's possible that Mika is sitting back and having a ruddy good laugh over this, he probably thought, it's quiet, lets wind them up and let them go, see what happens.

If that's the case, the joke is on us:wink2:

Mika has blocked one of his followers that I know of and if anyone else is truly upsetting him he is free to block them as well.

If you don't like what you hear people in your network saying to Mika on Twitter then go ahead and give them a piece of your mind on Twitter. I think what Deb is saying is that we've had enough bickering on MFC about it and it's time to move on.

Oh, yes, please! I didn't join the discussion, but been following the thread since the whole clown-pic-tweet-thing and it drove me almost mad (my family and friends too, who had to listen me moaning over it for days - but maybe thats was my fault :naughty:)

I maybe going off-topic here, but, for me, this whole arguing made feel like being a Mika fan just isn't the same anymore. Even being a new fan, i got tired about the whole subject "Mika" - instead of make me feel happy and relaxed and all :mf_lustslow:, now i just feel tired and annoyed. :dunno:

Again, IMO, this situation was taken over too seriously - that is just a pic, for gods sake! Let's get out, play some happy music and chill out until the new album comes out. :pinkbow:
