Jaya
I'm not sure if this article has been posted yet but i just saw this from the Buenos Aires Herald. Friday 19 Mika. 8.45pm. A night to remember —and dance till you faint. On Friday, the lineup features the most amusing bands to cheer you up. Perhaps the most acclaimed artist is Mika, the UK singer best known for his No. 1 hit Grace Kelly. Mika’s first full-length studio album, Life in Cartoon Motion, was released in 2007, attaining mass recognition. In 2009, Mika released his second studio album, The Boy Who Knew Too Much. Mika is a great showman, and his concerts are parties set to upbeat music, with a lot of added value. Scissor Sisters. 10.55pm Before Mika it was the Scissor Sisters. The latter even declared war on Mika, saying that he had “stolen” their sound.. The Scissor Sisters are a US band formed in 2001. Their music draws from disco and glam. The group is made up of vocalists Jake Shears and Ana Matronic, multi-instrumentalist Babydaddy, lead guitar/bassist Del Marquis, and drummer Randy Real, who replaced former drummer Paddy Boom. The band have collaborated with a number of other well-known pop musicians, including Elton John and Kylie Minogue, and have been received positively by remarkable music personalities. U2’s Bono described them as “The best pop group in the world at the moment.” It was 2004. The Scissor Sisters are a combination fashion, frantic dance moves and falsetto vocal harmonies. I think whoever wrote this review, has based this on articles dating back from 2007 instead of recent interviews/comments from the scissor sisters. Alexandra1
Some journalists making up or rewarming old stories to sell newspapers...they could have least check what they're talking about! Yeah they should definitely check their sources and dates I'm relieved you say this is an old story and that no one actually "declared war on Mika because he stole their sound"... Omg, those few words really shocked me :shocked:

And now they tour and party together ? edit: it seems that it's true and that it was old things say from 2007, that's the most hilarious thing I have ever heard and ever seen... I keep my thoughts for myself...

Marilyn Mastin
I bet I could be a great journalist! All you have to do, these days, is look up some old interviews and articles, cut-and-paste a few bits together and hey-presto, you have a brand new article!! It's a doddle!! Shine
I've found this on the net: http://thenumberoftheblog.com/2010/09/14/trainwreck-tuesday-gets-kicked-in-the-nuts-mika-vs-scissor-sisters/ It's a bit off the topic, but this guy connects Mika and Scissors Sisters as the symbols of a bad musical taste based on their falsetto. The typical hater blog.

IngievV
I swear there was something like this in the papers years ago? Yeah, but it wasn't as big as the journalists made it seem. After all Jake even danced on stage with Mika back in 2007 and Mika has said many times that he loves the Sisters, so yeah.
