Stellar Posted November 14, 2019 Share Posted November 14, 2019 Hello everyone, it´s so cool to see all these Mika fans in one place here 😊. This is actually the first Fanclub I have ever joined. Mainly because a lot of the fandoms out there seem to be rather toxic. But as soon as I saw what you guys gave Mika for his 30th birthday I knew I had to join the MFC 😊 I used to listen to Mika as a little kid growing up in London back in 2007. But I didn’t really know who Mika was or anything about his music. All I can remember is dancing to Grace Kelly and Relax, Take It Easy on my way to school and back again. Years after my time living in the UK, I heard Relax, Take It Easy on the radio in Germany again and I was immediately carried back into my happy childhood years in London. Because the song meant (and still means 😉 ) so much to me, I decided to look up who the artist is…and I couldn´t believe that the very same artist also wrote Grace Kelly! From that moment on I became more or less addicted to Mika´s music. I think I have never in my life been so excited for an album to drop like I was with My Name Is Michael Holbrook. And I have equally never been happier listening all the way through a record. …oh well I could probably go on for days. Are you traveling to Zurich (and the other places) "only" for Mikas show? I live near Düsseldorf. And sadly the closest place to that (Utrecht) is already sold out. So we plan our gigs together when it´s possible and meet up the day before the concert trying to do some sightseeing and stay as much time as possible together. Especially having friends that enjoy the same music is very precious I believe. Because it´s one thing listening to good music on your own or going to a concert by yourself. But actually doing it with friends and making/sharing the memories together, that´s something very special. And it´s probably even way more fun than going alone 😁 It´s really nice to hear that you made these friends because of Mikas music I´m hoping on making some friends here too. Are you maybe going to share some photos or videos somewhere here?
