NO, IL NUOVO BRANO di Baby K non comincia citando il suo nome e questo già rappresenta un grosso punto di svolta rispetto al passato. Dopo il successo con i Boomdabash e la loro “Mohicani”, ultima di una lista incredibile di hit, Claudia Nahum (questo è il vero nome di Baby K) quest’anno ha deciso sorprenderci con “Bolero”.

 

Come mai questa scelta?

 

«La verità? Mi ero un po’ stufata! Fare canzoni fresche ed estive è ancora una mia priorità, ma avevo paura di ripetermi. Quest’anno ho deciso così di tornare con qualcosa di unico nei suoni e nei contenuti. Chi mi segue lo sa: non ho mai cantato niente di simile».

 

Com’è nato il brano?

 

«Ero con Dardust, produttore del singolo. Lui aveva già pensato un po’ alla melodia e quando me l’ha fatta sentire mi ha rapita. Tra le idee in cantiere per questa estate, ho pensato che “Bolero” riflettesse al meglio questa mia voglia di cambiamento. È sempre esotico, è sempre estivo, ma ha un sapore inedito».

 

Quindi Mika è stato chiamato dopo?

 

«Molto dopo, appena ha finito l’Eurovision Song Contest a Torino. Lo guardavo in tv incantata, da fan sfegatata. Poi l’intuizione: ho pensato che alcune parti del brano fossero perfette per lui. L’ho cercato, l’ho trovato, ho raccolto un po’ di coraggio e gliel’ho chiesto».

 

Quando ha detto di sì?

 

«Più o meno due minuti dopo piaciuto tantissimo».

 

Cosa le piace di più di Mika?

A proposito di diversità, lei canterà “Bolero” anche al Pride di Milano sabato 2 luglio.

 

«Con la testa e con il cuore sono già lì. Nel 2019 ho già cantato al Pride milanese ed è stato un giorno magico: avevo una bandiera con i colori arcobaleno tenuta addosso come un mantello. Ho cantato davanti a una folla di persone stupende che mi hanno fatta sentire speciale».

Baby K sorprende con il nuovo singolo “Bolero“

 

Sorprendente è l’aggettivo che più di ogni altro si addice al nuovo progetto discografico di Baby K dal titolo “Bolero” che vede la cantante duettare con Mika. Se pensavamo infatti di trovarci di fronte a un nuovo tormentone estivo ai quali ci aveva abituati in questi anni l’artista ci sbagliavamo di grosso. “Bolero” è tutt’altra cosa.

 

Sono lontanissimi i ritmi delle mega hit estive della cantante. “Bolero” si distingue per un sound in cui le sfumature synthwave anni ’80 incontrano un’anima più esotica. Trattasi a tutti gli effetti di sfumature musicali in parte ancora sconosciute di Baby K che conferma in questa maniera il suo desiderio di rinnovarsi. Sono state accantonate in questa occasione le sonorità tipiche dei precedenti successi estivi, che tanta fortuna hanno portato all’artista.

 

Anche il testo, a cui hanno lavorato oltre a Baby K e Mika anche Fulminacci e Jacopo Ettore, presenta delle novità. Sono lontane le ambientazioni di “Roma Bangkok” o di “Da zero a cento“. ‘Bolero‘ racconta la nostalgia dei bei momenti condivisi con un’altra persona. “Il tuo sguardo era il mio specchio e ci vivevo dentro, ora siamo un faro spento nel buio più violento e adesso tu, ci pensi mai a qualche anno fa?” […] e dove sei? dimmelo tu, ti aspetterò dove il sole incontra il leone“.

 

Ad impreziosire il progetto, prodotto dall’ottimo Dardust, ci pensa la collaborazione con Mika. La presenza del cantante libanese sarebbe potuta essere “inutile” o addirittura controproducente, ed invece la sua partecipazione regala al pezzo una potenza esplosiva, tipica delle produzioni internazionali. I due artisti risultano entrambi a loro agio e si dividono equamente gli spazi riuscendo a essere perfettamente in armonia lungo tutto il brano. Ci auguriamo che la featuring con Mika dia la possibilità a Baby K, che già in passato aveva tentato la carta delle collaborazioni con artisti internazionali senza però lasciare il segno, di farsi apprezzare anche all’estero.

 

“Bolero” si candida a partecipare alla “battaglia” per aggiudicarsi il titolo di tormentone estivo 2022, avendo buone chance di piazzarsi se non al primo posto sicuramente tra le primissime posizioni. Va ad ogni modo premiato il coraggio che Baby K in primis e il team di autori, produttore compreso, hanno avuto. Non è infatti da tutti presentarsi con un progetto discografico tanto sorprendente e perché no anche spiazzante. A prescindere da come andranno le cose, siamo sicuri che “Bolero” accompagnerà le nostre giornate al mare, gli aperitivi e le serate danzerecce, d’altronde come lo stesso Mika ha scritto su Instagram ‘Bolero‘ “farà ballare il nostro cuore“.

 

Da ultimo, ci piace ricordare che Baby K tornerà, dopo l’esperienza del 2019, ad essere madrina del @milanopride. La cantante avrà quindi modo – come da lei stesso dichiarato sui social – di “unirsi al coro di voci che sostengono l’amore in tutte le forme e in tutti i colori“.

Who's Gonna Love Me Now è il titolo della nuova canzone di Mika. Nelle scorse ore l’artista, classe 1983, ha pubblicato l’official visualizer del brano su YouTube ottenendo immeditamente migliaia di visualizzazioni.

 

Sabato 30 luglio la voce di Happy Ending ha fatto tappa in Sardegna per un concerto alla Forte Arena di Santa Margherita di Pula nel corso del quale Rosario Fiorello, ospite a sorpresa tra il pubblico, lo ha raggiunto regalando ai presenti un momento di divertimento e allegria.

I listened to a lot of Elvis when I was younger, and had several Rock'n'Roll songs on my cassettes - in fact, the first song on my first self-recorded cassette was "Rock around the clock", and I enjoyed dancing in my room to songs like  "Let's Twist again" or "Do you love me", and played Jailhouse Rock and Return to Sender on the guitar. My husband used to do Rock'n'Roll dancing with competitions and all of that when he was younger. It really is like Mika says that the invention of Rock'n'Roll has fundamentally changed the world of pop culture and it's underrated today. yes is funny Mika is a nice and funny artist and every song he publishes is always different, new and the video clips he makes are very nice too.I also like it for this even if maybe I will never meet him it does nothing I follow him because he saved my life ..

Il The Magic Piano Tour di Mika, con show previsti tra settembre e ottobre 2022 nelle principali arene e nei teatri italiani - dove ha già registrato diversi sold out - è rinviato a data da destinarsi. L'annuncio oggi, anche via social con un messaggio del cantante che però conferma la data di Verona.

 

Mika ha annunciato tramite i suoi account e poi attraverso un comunicato stampa ufficiale lo stop del suo "The Magic Piano Tour" che per «motivi di carattere organizzativo e di produzione che avrebbero impedito un’adeguata e ottimale messa in scena degli spettacoli, è rinviato a data da destinarsi».

 

Sono stati fatti numerosi tentativi per salvaguardare l’integrità degli show - si legge nella nota - come erano stati pianificati da Mika con la sua consueta cura e qualità artistica e di produzione, ma non potendola garantire nei tempi stabiliti, è stato necessario rinviare. È una decisione sofferta, ma proprio per non deludere il suo pubblico si è deciso di non sacrificare gli standard dei suoi show.
