There is no more mention of it in Vincent Instagram bio :dunno:

I know... maybe it'll be "magic piano world tour 2024", because Mikasoon... :teehee: But I trust that it's coming, at some point.

It was not a real private gig. It was open to anyone with the wherewithal. The phone number to sign up was public.

Really? Wow, I thought the Bal was an invitation only event. *makes mental note for future events*

For anyone going, I emailed them and asked for clarification of the dress code:

"Is cocktail wear (knee length skirt/dress, bare arms) acceptable for this event? Or is it preferred that ladies wear longer gowns and have their arms covered?"

They replied:

"For this event, the 2 outfits for the ladies that you indicated in your email correspond to the dress code requested from the guests.

Indeed, we ask you to wear a chic and elegant outfit for this event.

For the men, the jacket remains obligatory and the tie and the dinner jacket are appreciated."

À Monaco, L’ÉTÉ SERA SHOW

Bought my ticket. I'm officially mad. 😅

I'm still busy planning my UK trip for next month, but already thinking of ways how I can go to the Monaco gig without my son, but still take him to the Cote d'Azur for a holiday. He'll be 9 then, can I leave him alone in the hotel room in Nice for that evening? Leave a phone for him so he can call me? At home he's fine to stay alone for a few hours occasionally, but on holiday, I don't know. However, paying another 400€ for him to attend the dinner and gig, when he has a bunch of food allergies and will probably fall asleep by the time the gig starts (like he did last year in Cap Roig), that's a quite expensive nap. :lmfao: Might be cheaper to hire a nanny for the evening. Wait, in fact that's a great idea, some hotels / resorts offer that service... hmm... 🤔

A nanny is a brilliant idea, good thinking! You'll be able to relax and enjoy the gig without worrying if he's okay. If he's by himself, I'd worry he got bored/lonely. Even if you leave him a phone, it'd still take you a little time to get back to him if needed. With a nanny you know he'd be looked after. :thumb_yello:

Nah, he's not easily bored/lonely - besides, he'd be sleeping at that time. As a Mum, I'm just always worried that IF anything happens, I wouldn't be there. But then, he's not the age anymore where I'd need to watch him 24/7 - the constant fine line between being there and letting go. Anyway, I'm trying to find a solution that we're both happy with.

Some MFCers plan to book a table together, if possible as close to the stage as possible.

So far there are: Nina, Andrea, Manuela, Anne and me.

@mellody Do you know by now if you're coming to Monaco? :original:

If anyone else is interested in sharing a table, please post here or send me a private message. :original:

I am thinking as well. Karin how do you get there? Do you go now with your kiddo?

Yes, taking my son to Nice - but not to the gig. He'll get a phone and a new book, then he'll be busy for the evening, lol! :lol3: We'll be flying, I missed booking trains in time, so flying was the best option now. Then from Nice to Monaco by train... tho I just saw it's not as easy as I thought - it's a 20 minutes train ride to Monte Carlo, but seems getting from the station to the venue is a challenge.  Thought that was closer. @Prisca do you maybe have a place in the car? 😅 Or maybe I'll just take a taxi (tho I suppose the prices are a bit high there...)

So we all know what Prisca will be wearing, but how about the others? ;) I bought a long purple dress a few months ago, but I think it might be too warm. So I ordered this one yesterday

Bildschirmfoto 2023-07-16 um 22.44.25.png

I'm just always wary about clothes from the internet, because I can't try it on before buying - they say the fabric is Chiffon, which should be light and fluffy, but if it doesn't feel good or if it doesn't fit, I'll send it back. Fingers crossed, because I really like how it looks on that photo. :crossed:

Très jolie  :Oui::crossed:for you.

OMG Karin that's gorgeous. It'll look great on you. :lustslow:

I know what you mean about buying from the internet, I much prefer being able to feel and try on first. Unfortunately most shops round me that sold dresses like that have closed down, so I don't think I have a choice!

So I am in now 🙂. And the biggest question what to wear..do you guys think an elegant trousers is a no go?

It should be ok, you don't have to wear a dress. On an earlier post on this thread there is an answer to the question what can be worn that Andrea asked them.
