TOQUE TOQUE

Je n'attends qu'une chose ce soir, Que tu t'approches dans le noir
Que tu me lances un seul respect
Je n'attends que ça ce ce soir

Prends ma main pour un slow Passe ta main dans mon dos
Et amène-moi n'importe où
Tant que je tombe à genoux

Une balle en plein coeur
C'est beau en plein été
T'as tiré
Tu m'as touché

Touche Touche Touche Touche Touche
Le bout de ta bouche m'a touché
Ta bouche m'a touché

Mika likes songs about "touches" apparently (☞ಠ_ಠ)☞

¡¿Qué hay de nuevo?!:D

Dios, tengo pensamientos sobre esta canción, pero me temo que todos me enviarían directamente al rincón travieso...

mika had to have had inspiration from somewhere........

If we were all honest and said the thoughts we have about this song, we would be eliminated from the MFC

So, Google translate has some catching up to do... :lmfao:

:lmfao:

Here is my human translation

TOUCH TOUCH

I'm only waiting for one thing tonight
That you get close to me in the dark
That you look at me
I'm only waiting for this tonight

Take my hand for a slow dance
Move your hand on my back
And take me to any place
As long as I fall on my knees

A bullet right in the heart
That's beautiful in the heart of summer
You shot
You touched me

Touch Touch Touch Touch Touch
The tip of your mouth touched me
Your mouth touched  me
And you touch touch touch ? Touch

Tell me
What do you want?
Me I want you
For me
What do you want?

I wasn't there haphazardly
I'm fed up with my life
Something had to happen
Something had to break the ice
Even if we're not alone
If the others are rolling their eyes
Kiss me as much as you want
Never mind if they are envious

That's pretty much what I got! *Proud moment* :lol3:

"And take me to any place"...

or "take me anywhere"? There's a small but possibly crucial difference in English... :teehee:

"I wasn't there uphazardly" - that's not a word in English, it would be haphazardly. Meaning "I wasn't there by chance". :wink2:

Well it is deffo take me to anyplace :thumb_yello: and not take me anywhere  :mf_boff::overreact:

It is a :naughty: song but not to that point so I prefered to be clear about it in my translation :wink2:

Don't send me to NC again :floor:

Ok but I'll keep translating while cleaning and singing with @Hero and Mika :wink2:

While I've got you... a little bit off topic but kind of related... I've noticed he often condenses words, like j'suis instead of je suis, or j'ai pas instead of je n'ai pas. Is that commonplace in modern French, or is it just heard in songs? Or is it a Mika-ism?

My old French teacher would have had a fit if we'd tried that in class! :grandma: :naughty:

As I’m currently learning French, I can say it’s common. The “ne” in phrases in like “je ne sais pas” will be often omitted. Spoken French will actually make it “shuh pas”.

Und to make “je suis” the fonetical “sh’swee” is also common.

Well it is spoken that way. I wouldn't write it that way in a formal text but it makes the songs a lot better. Maybe I'm an old thing or I read too many books as a young girl but I don't skip "ne" even when I speak.

So many misheard lyrics in this one  Even tho my brain knows he’s not singing “douche douche douche” or “ambush my tushié” my mouth keeps singing it

I almost heard "douche douche douche" yesterday after I had read your post :lmfao:I used to hear "touche touche touche" before :floor:

Oh come on this translation is the PG version right :lmfao:

As if "take me anywhere" isn't supposed to sound exactly as dodgy as it does.

And that he means slow DANCE is also just an assumption, I had other thoughts when I heard "un slow" in this context.

There's the English slang word 'tush' meaning buttocks or butt, and occasionally when I listen to this song I can't help but hear "tush tush tush, touche my tushy"

*please no one google that sentence, you may well find another meaning to this song!

You know, I never really considered that Mika might have a bushy tushy. Was it missed in the manscaping?  :lol3:

Existe la palabra del argot inglés 'tush' que significa nalgas o trasero, y ocasionalmente cuando escucho esta canción no puedo evitar escuchar "tush tush tush, touche my tushy"    :palma facial:

* ¡ Por favor, que nadie busque en Google esa frase, es posible que encuentres otro significado para esta canción!

*proceeds to search on Google*
