sariflor
Robbie Williams in 2006: http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=deKRngZqQ7E&feature=related I think that this is nuts, have you seen how many people there are on the floor?? and all those people crammed together in that area must surely go against any health and safety regulation? It's not even like security or paramedics or whoever could actually make their way to anyone who faints or falls sick If this is really the only way forward I'm afraid that it'll probably mean bye to live Mika for me. I can't really face that scenario, I'm just not willing to. I value my life too much

Christine
I'm not being funny, but how can Mika get as many people there as Bruce Springsteen? I just don't get it Because his album has gone diamond in France. That puts him in league with Bruce Springsteen et al. I think we've not only been spoiled but a bit blinded concerning Mika's career. I think the only reason Mika played relatively small venues for this last tour is because it was planned too far in advance. If they had known then what they know now he would already have half a dozen arena shows under his belt and may have skipped shows like Brighton altogether. I wouldn't have dreamed in a million years that Mika would be selling nosebleed tickets to a hockey arena in Montreal even though he's still playing a club in Toronto. He's only sold 100,000 in all of Canada so it seems impossible that 10-14,000 people in Montreal alone would go see him live. But his record company knows more about these things than we do because they know how many albums are being sold and where. They hit the mark with Montreal and I don't doubt that they know what they're doing in Paris either.

johnny06
When I first heard the news I was like and I'm still ! So yes, Mika has sold really big in France this year but booking a 50000-people-stadium still seems a megalomaniac thing for a debut artist to do! Obviously, if they sell manage to fill it, job well done... But just what is the kind of show they plan to do there? Are they planning more shows on such a large scale? Large sceens with video projections, many dancers, pyro effects...they are going to have to do a lot of work to do such a big show! Artists capable of attracting masses of people often do several nights in smaller stadiums like Bercy (16000) and very few choose to do this 50000-stadium, so why is Mika? So many questions:bleh:...I am excited about this! Cath are you coming then?

Niki27
Artists capable of attracting masses of people often do several nights in smaller stadiums like Bercy (16000) and very few choose to do this 50000-stadium, so why is Mika? I asked myself the very same question... Bercy seemed a far better option: smaller but still one of the hugest venues in Paris, and the appropriate infrastucture for a quality gig... not a damn football stadium Something that also puzzles me is the "Mika + premières parties thing... how many supporting acts will there be? Maybe that's how they intend to fill the stadium maybe? A mini festival in disguise?
Savage Beauty
Somehow this doesn't sound quite right to me But I'd still love to be there!! And yes, it's a megalomaniac thing to do, but surely Mika can survive such Hysteria?
