  1. aha, didn't know that... well i know of course that pets get microchips for identification, so if they run away you can see who they belong to. but that there's an extra passport microchip, that's new to me. sounds really funny though!
  2. i could try putting hair gel on the brush, maybe that works better, haha! well, i first have to find some paint, haven't searched online yet. but guess i really should get started soon, noticed today that february is SO close meanwhile!
  3. i will only believe it for sure when mika confirms it via tweet/blog or when any of us gets to see that dog. i mean, seriously, that story sounds too strange if you tell it - especially the name. a male dog called gertrude with a passport in his hear and an own floor on the tourbus? ok as it's mika, it could be true... but it could as well be completely made up, like that john travolta plane thing. and doesn't a dog have to stay in quarantine for ages, until you can take it from one country to another? but only a bit more than a month and we'll see... if he says the dog comes on tour with him, we'll get to see it there, if it exists. if it's true, i really hope it's the kind of dog like bizkit, he was so cute! somehow can't imagine mika having a small dog. so i guess by saying "little dog" he meant it's a puppy.
  4. thanx for the additional tips. don't think anyway that i'd be able to splay out the bristles permanently like they are in that picture, so guess i wouldn't have tried... it's mean enough to hammer the poor brush on the table anyway, that's what at school they always told us NOT to do, LOL! what was that bit of paint on the brush for, before hammering it down, do you know? well, of course you had to make a science out of it, to make all the planets look similar - perfect team work! and the fact that they didn't look exactly like one another is only good imo, it makes it look more interesting, and as all look good in their own way, you could think it was on purpose. it's a fantasy world after all.
  5. have joined you for a while, but need to do some other stuff now. will be back on starflash tonight.
  6. wow, have you seen this review of tbwktm?! http://www.sandiegoreader.com/news/2009/dec/28/boy-who-knew-too-much/ they say that he's better than andrew lloyd webber! :biggrin2: apart from that, it's hard for me to understand that journalist language - but from what i understand, it seems like one of the best reviews i've read about the album.
  8. i just looked on the venues homepage, says there that the big hall is for up to 9.000 people at concerts, and the small ones for 1.500 people. guess it's the big one then, here are pictures (they don't have pix of concerts, unfortunately): http://www.stjakobshalle.ch/grossehalle.asp so it seems like they can add the seated places on the sides or not, like they want... so maybe it's less than 9000 then if it's just the floor standing, that would make sense. tbh, i have no idea how popular mika is in switzerland, if it's more like germany or more like france...
  9. have voted about 600x this morning and am helping again now. stupid dissers, pfft, they have added 10.000 negative votes during the day! edit: but positive: in the shoutbox they're talking about dissing lafee, who is before mika, so if they do that, this helps mika. and very positive: mika got 2 additional members in that starflash fanclub today! edit: ha! 18 again!
  10. yup, thanx, will try with one of those. and the paint, well, just gotta look on the internet then, in that creative shops here in munich they only have normal yellow glow in the dark paint, pfft, those uncreative people, LOL! nope, that nail polish was definitely glowing due to the blacklight! a) it wasn't that dark there and b) i had tried before looking at it in the dark, shielding it with my hands, and it only glowed very feebly. but it was that strong only during a few songs, like during dr john, when you could also see the planets very well... don't know if they turned the blacklight on+off, or if it was just not visible because of all the bright lights.
  11. i'm quoting elvis for my answer: you look like an angel you talk like an angel you walk like an angel but i got wise you're the devil in disguise your signature is scary!
  12. thanx a lot christine for that detailled description! ok good to know that i have to ruin one of my brushes first, LOL! wouldn't have thought of doing that, but seems like a really good tip. i've tried with both of these kinds: but without preparing them in any way first, so that's good to know. also about the uv paint... i'm sure i'll find something on the internet. and i do have a blacklight at home, so that's not a problem. i don't think there is white glow in the dark paint, never seen any... just yellow, green, blue and red - and in fact they all look pretty much yellow in the blacklight! did you let the white background paint dry before you applied the uv paint, or was it still wet? so the gap between the stage+barrier in toronto was a lot bigger then than in LA & oakland? because in LA IMMA told me she'd seen my glow in the dark stars very clearly, and as you might remember also in oakland we could see that glow in the dark nailpolish suddenly very well in the blacklight.
  13. yeah, i'm always voting there 2-3 times a day a few hundred votes each time. voted
  14. oh that's good... so it was actually a good thing then that they had it in their list of worst videos in 2009, created interest?
  15. hey ball painters! i was wondering whether you could give me a few insider tips on how to make a styrofoam ball look like a planet. i want to try something for a new costume, it's only very small styrofoam balls so no idea if it will come out the way i want it at all, but my tries so far were pretty useless - all i got was yellow glowing styrofoam balls (and fingers and table), lol! so obviously it wasn't glow in the dark colour, right? as that always glows yellow, not white like the planets. white colour then? just white, or is there a special blacklight colour? and how do i get that texture? would be really happy if you had some tips for me, that would prevent me from spending lots of money on trying different colours and making my whole flat glow in the dark in the attempt to get it right, lol! thanx.
  16. hmm, but he even said on the radio that he's glad he's djing that evening, so he doesn't have to think of something to do for new years eve. so at least he did everything to pretend it was live, if it wasn't... why would he do that?
  17. fab, thank you! will download+listen tomorrow (or, um... later today, after getting some sleep )
  18. a mika-tweet! what a fab way to start this new year! so that radio2 thing was indeed live then, huh? poor guy, having to work instead of celebrating into 2010! but well, sounds in his tweet like he had fun. such a shame that i couldn't listen. hope someone recorded it *goes looking on the other thread*
  19. thanx, lol! :naughty: happy new year to you! :huglove:

  20. grr that stupid bbc player keeps messing up the sound for me! sounds like a broken cd every 30 seconds or so, so annoying! but gotta leave soon anyway. hope someone's recording?
  21. mika and one of his sisters? alright, LOL! some girls from the german forum keep collecting mika's waterbottles after the shows, to get something that has been in his mouth... - they've already done it 2 or 3 times now, haha!
