For ages I was excited before the gig too! 😁 I had that kind of excited/nervous feeling (just me?) but the excitement definitely won over the nerves! I was worried that the youtube feature on my smart USB stick wouldn't work on the TV, I'm so glad it did. Maybe that's why I was nervous 😅

How could I forget that he sang Happy Ending and Tiny Love? 😲 Both were absolutely astounding performances too! Admittedly after going to an actual real life concert I tend to have a day where my mind goes blank simply because I've taken so much in from what I've experienced. Didn't think that would happen with this! I was also really tired afterwards, it's not like I had to queue or stand in a crowd for hours but I got that kind of tiredness where I couldn't actually fall asleep for ages!

Don't get me wrong I'm glad to watch it again and again but is this really fair? Especially when nearly 20,000 people payed to watch the live stream. The concert is for charity, it was never intended to be a free event. Whoever uploaded this would surely need permission? 🤔

I've just checked on YouTube and it's gone back to saying Private Video 😭 Not fair! I was hoping to watch again today! 😞

Looooong review for y'all to read. I had to write something. The concert has left me with such a mixed bag of emotions!

If you wish to discuss the live stream concert in a lot more detail with a full review please use this space to do so! 😃 Here's mine. 😊 As I said before it's quite long 😅 I would have logged in straight after the concert but I got so many notifications on twitter afterwards that I spent a while there and then went to bed (I was very tempted to watch the whole thing again and probably will later), starting to feel PMD now 😅. Anyway consider this my first concert review! It's quite long and took me over an hour to write! First of all my budgie absolutely loved it! I had the volume up quite high and he was happy chirping away in the background but he got so much louder when Danna came on and remained loud for the whole show, with me being so focused on Mika I really didn't mind. I also have a small dog with a big bark and it's like she knew to behave because for the whole night she didn't make a sound, good girl! I think Mika will be pleased to know he has my pets approval! The whole show was beautiful. The set list of songs was a perfect combination too. A perfect balance of showing the hardship of what the Lebanese people are going through and also keeping it up beat and joyful with singing Ice Cream, Lollipop, Grace Kelly and Love Today. Mika has a way of giving hope to people. The performance of Any Other World had me in tears wich continued with the various videos shared by the people of Lebanon. One minute I'm crying in sadness the next I'm crying in joy at the couple who's baby, Georges, survived the blast. I hope one day he gets to meet Mika. The poems by Etal and Salma were beautiful too. So simple. So relevant. I'm not a Rufus Wainwright fan but that performance of Agnus Dei with the musicians was certainly something special. Maybe he and Mika will do a collaboration one day together. I loved the performance by Kylie! I was wondering if she would sing I Believe in You seeing as Mika loves that song but the lyrics to Say Something were more appropriate and it was a wonderful performance. I've never heard of Laura Pausini before but her song at the colosseum was beautiful and it's certainly got me looking more into her music. I knew Me, Myself was coming when Danna came on but I certainly wasn't expecting It Must Have Been Love, neither was my Mum because that song is very special to her and made her cry! And then the song with Louane, again not someone I've heard of before but that duet was beautiful. Definitely another great example of how Mika's voice can blend well with a female singer. Now his own performances. I'm hoping so so much that the Arabic version of Promise Land with Mashrou Leila is released as a single. It was immense, I love it! Origin of Love really made me feel the love, did you all see the message "I thank him very much" at the bottom of the screen? And the way Mika looked so intensely at the camera, I'm sure Andy was there. Maybe with a little happy tear in his eye. Lollipop sung in the streets was so much fun to watch, I felt like I was right there with him! How does Mika do the pointy toe thing when he sings Relax, Take it Easy? He was his true bouncy self with that song, I always love to see him do 'The Jump'™ We Are Golden was such a burst of energy and then Elle me Dit got me singing along (it's the only French song of Mika's that I know all the words to even though I don't speak French!). And of course how can I not talk about Ice Cream? Only Mika could sing an entire song with his zipper down! I don't think that's the first time either. He could have very easily edited that out but I'm glad he didn't, it wouldn't be a Mika concert without something silly like that! Also wouldn't be right if Mika doesn't get his own lyrics wrong to Underwater. To end the show with Grace Kelly and Love Today was perfect too, very much like his early gigs. For a moment I forgot it was pre-recorded and kept wondering where the piano came from, I think Mika needs some alone time with that piano, he seems very attached! 😁 Along with Promise Land I hope the other songs get released too. If not a DVD then a live album would be brilliant. It didn't matter that the theatre was empty, because it wasn't. We were all there, brought together and united by one amazing man. It doesn't matter that we were in our own homes in different countries. Mika brought something magical to the show last night and that something is the people. It's us. All of us. Every single person who sat and watched it from beginning to end, the magic of being apart but together. It's not just I love Beirut. It's WE Love Beirut!

That was a most beautiful, amazing, wonderful and magical Mika concert I've ever been to. What a night! So pleased I can watch it again and again because I really don't want it to end. I've written a full review, would it be ok to start a new topic in the concert review section or shall I post it here. It is quite long... 😅

I think it's going to be pretty quiet here during the concert. 😆 I'd much rather be focused on Mika than checking notifications here. I'll probably come back an hour after the show to join any discussions though 😊

Seeing as this is pre-recorded to look live, I do wonder if it could potentially be put onto DVD 🤔, this would be especially useful for anyone who is unable to watch tomorrow and of course the money can still go towards the various charities. Still hoping for the Revelation Tour Bercy gig Mika did to be put on DVD...

Still holding out hope that they'll be available in the UK some day Until such a time, would anyone be able to get me 2 Lotus boxes? Will happily pay for them plus postage 😊

Two songs with Danna! Do we think she'll sing one of her own, one of Mika's together or another new collab? It's so close now, I'm so excited! Did a snack shop a couple of days ago and put all the snacks at the back of a cupboard so I'm not tempted to eat them before then, I have specifically chosen food that doesn't make a loud crunch! Nothing is going to disturb this concert for me! 😁

I hope Mika sings Good Guys now that Rufus Wainwright has been announced! The song is currently stuck in my head but I really want to hear it live! I'll be wearing my Good Guys t-shirt on the day in the hopes that Mika does sing it! 😊 ❤

It's only been a few hours and this is actually working by listening to it on repeat! Reading the full lyrics in English I can actually relate to them, not sure if that's depressing or enlightening, or a little bit of both... From not being keen at first, to then liking the song fairly quickly... you'll see I'll be saying I love this song in a minute 😁

No wonder it's such a bad edit! 😂 I've just watched the actual one and it's much better! I really like it. It's quite simple yet effective and makes me like the song more. I hope Mika does more Spanish songs in the future! I think the reason why I didn't like it at first is because I didn't know much about Danna before now, and I realise it's not a Mika song, it's completely hers with Mika as a guest. Their voices do work well together too 😊

Never thought I'd say this about something that Mika is part of but I'm really not that keen on the song or the video. Is it just me or do Mika's parts in the video seem badly edited in? When I watched it his singing didn't match his mouth movement but Danna's did... I don't think I would have minded if Mika wasn't in the video, to me his parts don't really 'fit', but that's just my opinion. As for the song itself, I do like the lyrics of it (and Mika singing of course! 😄) but I also agree it's quite melancholic but again the electronic part doesn't quite sit right 😕. I'll have to listen to it more and see if it grows on me... Also a little annoyed that I stayed up till midnight again only to realise that the song would be released 1am UK time. I fell asleep before then but I'm still tired 😴

Y'all comparing the Le Coeur Holiday video to The Lion King and forgetting a Disney movie that actually has a panther in it, smh 😛

Do you know what would be awesome? Panther and squirrel plushies. The squirrel could be holding a little pear (I think it's a pear?) and when you press it the chorus of the song plays! Please if there is a tiny chance that someone from Mika's team sees this, please make it happen! I could actually make small plushies myself, I've got everything I would need... Well a little extra time would be nice if I wasn't so busy 😅 Realistically it would take me around 2 months to make one of both the panther and the squirrel, Mhmm... 🤔 I'll think about it.

The animation is absolutely beautiful! I cried too 😭, it's not just that it's a cartoon squirrel, (which does remind of animated films which also make me cry, Lion King being one of them) it's the emotion behind it. The timid soft panther at the beginning, becoming friends and protecting the squirrel and then the savagery of being a big cat comes out, but unintentionally hurting the squirrel, then the cat feels guilt and continues to mourn. It's relatable to real life, at least to me, that's why I found it so emotional. 😔 I really want to do fan art of the video and I would also love to know the names of the artists and animators, they deserve so much credit!

I stayed up till midnight hoping that it would be released on youtube. I am very tired... According to twitter it will be released 7pm Ecuador time which is midnight UK time. Will I risk more tiredness and stay up again tonight? Yes, yes I will!
