Mika fans are so special. They come from all over the world just to skip his concerts. :naughty:

I agree with Yop, why should only he have the fun of cancelling? :mf_rosetinted:

who else is NOT going..? :sneaky2:

Mika perhaps? :fisch:

And we will probably see the resurrection of the 'I respect Mika' thread.

God forbid. That was a huge pile of hypocrisy.

And it has been discussed in here for months, with no one noticing. Nobody reads our thread. :tears:

Just out of interest, which are the offensive topics ?

Thank God for that :roftl:

No, they do read this thread - they just don't post. Some brave one's come and make their presence known though...:naughty:

Hello :wink2:

Doin' a bit of searching to check out your views on things? :naughty:

:roftl: :roftl: absolutely :roftl: nah was just clicking around a bit...I really don't know here...I'd like the place to be somewhat "safe" for young people, but on the other hand it's not really my ****ing problem is it...so  And do I think I have the right to talk about the man's penis...would have liked to say that it's there, so of course I can, but hey it's not, so I can't :sneaky2:

I do actually agree that it's a bit too much with all the younglings here and all, but then it should be more consequent  can't say that just because we talk about his penis size - or lack of it, then it's not okay, but everyone can throw the weirdest threads about cum and whatnot up and throw sexual comments around in general and that seems to be perfectly okay

I agree with you. I think some specific guidelines should be put in place so that when something falls outside the guidelines it can just be dealt with sensibly. All of this selective freaking out and guilt tripping is counterproductive. That's why you've got 13-year-olds making dirty jokes and pushing the boundaries when the mods are sleeping.

People were PMing me last night wondering why they hadn't been yelled at yet. I think it's ridiculous that anyone feels like they're going to be yelled at for anything that goes on here. What purpose does it serve?

I just have so little time to catch up on the fast moving action here!

seems a lot of naughty chat!

Great :naughty:

Hope to see you ALL on 25th and 26th!!!

Is Brixton a bad venue?

I just want to ask about a little thing I’ve been thinking about a lot.

You know the thread Ha,ha, Mika you can’t read this without logging in.:wink2:

When Violet_sky started the thread, we talked about the logging in or not but we all know by now that you really don’t have to be logged in to be able to read it.

I know so little (nothing) how this things work.

Isn’t it possible to have a section of the forum where you have to be logged in to read or is this impossible or wrong.

I think it could solve at least some of the problems when a discussion gets heated or “inappropriate.”:original:

But I don’t know, what do you think?

It is possible! It's possible to have the entire forum for members only, or a specific part of the forum for members and the rest for all. It's even possible to have a forum for some members only and it's possible to have a password for a section. Lots of opportunities there.

I think it would be a good thing if we could have that.:thumb_yello:

I'd like the place to be somewhat "safe" for young people, but on the other hand it's not really my ****ing problem is it...so

I also don't know what to think. On one hand I do want it to be a relatively "safe" place for the younger members, but on the other hand they're not my responsibility.

My problem with this whole "think about your own 13-year-old niece/daughter/cousin" thing is that it wouldn't bother me. I look at things from the perspective of a 13-year-old girl not from the point of view of an overprotective parent.

I wouldn't have been corrupted and damaged looking at pictures of a fully clothed Mika so I just can't get that worked up over the idea. I don't want to argue with anyone over it because they're not my kids and it's not my place to decide what is or isn't appropriate for them.

Do people seriously believe that 13-year-olds don't know about penises? Come on.

Christine, I only just saw your "No-D Team Thread". Will there be a "No-A Team Thread" forthcoming? :naughty:

Feck, that's a brilliant idea! :roftl:

Are you shocked and horrified at my thread that contains two pictures of Mika's wrinkled pants and a reference to the term "dinky"?

It's not wonder that people are DISGUSTED and DISAPPOINTED and all manner of horrible things with me.

Well, I don't like that sort of thing posted around here and y'all know that, but it's not because of any concern for the younglings or being all shocked and bothered.

I don't disagree with you. I don't want to see 1000 posts analyzing Mika's nether regions either even if I mention it myself on occasion.

Things took a turn to the demented in the therapy thread last night so I left but in having some private discussions with people and the fact that so many of them wouldn't stay on topic in the original thread, I thought that it would be better moved to another thread.

I know it could have turned into a 1000 post analysis of Mika's nether regions (which was already happening anyway), but I had hoped it would become a social thread for the group that were in the therapy thread...or just die because they were distracted from the initial conversation. That's why it has an obscure name and isn't entitled "Looky here, come talk about Big M's penis".

I really agree with that, Christine!:thumb_yello:

It can’t possibly be our responsibility if young people are reading the forum or uses the internet at all.

It’s their own parents who are the ones who should draw up the guidelines for their children.

I'm slowly making my way through your thread, Christine. All I can think is: did someone call the Prude Patrol? I understand Jack's reasons for not wanting to see it being discussed again or even those who don't think it should be discussed because it's degrading, but what's it with people objecting on quasi-moralistic grounds?

It's not even the objections that bother me. It's the paternalistic attitude.

They don't seem to realize that it achieves the exact opposite of what is intended. If you treat people like children that's exactly how they will behave.

I've seen things go down that route on another message board and the outcome ain't pretty.

I guess I'm just getting tired of having to think so much about what I post. Yeh I am a bit concerned about the younglings, but as said before it shouldn't be my problem, so it shouldn't affect what I can or cannot post, I am not posting pornography anyway. But then I have to think about the people who might be offended when I post something, we can't have that. We all have to be friends or we'll have to get therapy and whatnot. Great, well I am trying not to offend people and I don't think I'm being that offensive anyway. But then I have to think about what might offend Mika, in case he should read the forum. Yeah right and what's next? I have to think about what might offend the pope or the queen of Denmark in case they stop by? I don't give a **** what Mika thinks about my posts on a forum he doesn't post on, if he has any complaints he can send me a PM. What I do care about is if I am seen as a horrible person because I post something that a guy who doesn't post here might find offensive! I'm a member of his ****ing fanclub and invest more time in this than in my own life, if that's not respectful enough then what the hell is? And who is to tell me how I am to respect the man after all? Well why the hell do I bother posting at all :boxed:

Hey soangel! :wub2:

I really need to get off here and get some work done. I need some willpower.

Will power is something I lack, in most forms.

I lack the willpower to give up my addiction to maccas (doesn't help that I work there and get discount) and I lack the willpower to stay off here :naughty:

Among other things
