I'm was mostly speechless after hearing the song. the world should be falling to pieces and some scientists should pick up curiosity on how a seemingly human mind can create something that amazing. That's about the best way you can describe this song, I absolutely adore it. First heard about the acoustic version last year during the Westerpark Amsterdam concert... but now for some time the more extended version is available (check out the ITunes performance of Mika, and the way he describes it on one of his 'new musics' videos on Mikasounds).. and that one is even better!! Now the song has 2 different verses? Who has this lyrics? It might be in one of the other posts, but I couldn't find it.. (then again, my girlfriend always blames me for not looking too well..) It starts quite softly and gradually the beat builds, so that the last chorus is very intense. Quite goosebumpy, in fact. I also think the structure is cleverly thought out, the way the final chorus doesn't go on too long but is cut into by the overlaid vocal. It would be so easy to overdo the falsetto effect, which would really put a lot of people off the song. Therefore I do think this could do really well as a single. Last saturday, i invited one of my best friends for dinner and we listened to mika and...We ended to film ourselve, dancing (huh not really, jumping and going crazy are not the best ways to describe us dancing haha) on this song! Soooo... I guess this means rain is the 2nd single there as well, and that the video should be ready already? edit: the date says 28/09, I'm totally confused right now... edit2: in the belgian charts as well...
