You know how sometimes, the easiest things become so complicated because your brain tries to make it more complex than it is? That's what happened with Rain. We didn't ask her about the lyrics to the verses, but the chorus is simply "When it rain, rain rains" - although, I don't hear Mika pronounce the "s" in "rains". I have been avoiding this song for days but just forced myself to listen to it again. Please Mika, I'm begging you, sort out this chorus! I think he could easily fix this by singing "Baby I hate days like this, when it rains," and holding the "rains" throughout. Let the backing singers harmonize with the multiple "rain"s to achieve the variation. I think not only will this be easier on the ears, but it will create that sort of pitter patter of rain effect we think he's trying to achieve with the repetitive lyrics.
