Interesting how the Italian lyrics talk about sending a *written* message rather than a phone message, but it's essentially the same story... Really interesting indeed. Thanks. I doubt that Mika "gave it away" -- I'm sure the rights to it were sold, and I would imagine that Mika does know about it. It's funny though, when you look on iTunes it says that this EP of Valerio Scanu's is made up of songs written for him by *Italian* songwriters. I meant to say, too, did everyone see Mika's quote about Erase in that recent Spanish article? Where he said he didn't perform the song because he didn't like it? I suspected that all along! For me the music and the lyrics give a perfect definition of what passion is: "We never had time to go to sleep, we'd wake up tangled in the sheets on a bed that we called home." Mika doesn't have the grit in his voice to pull off a soft rock ballad and the English lyrics are really lame. This guy should try an English version...maybe translated back from the Italian one.
