norwalk174
This is probably a really stupid question, but being involved with mika fan club doesn't have anything to do with points right?
dcdeb
surely no-one actually have 60000 points , maybe it was just put they to make competitive people buy more gear to beat the 60000 mark ....... i dont believe that these points were intended to make mika more dosh bull-s**t of course it is ! would mika`s crew rather i bought my gig tickets from ticket scotland or them ... would i ... if i buy from my local ticket agent i have no waiting for the tic + no postage to pay but if i dont buy from mikasounds i lose out on my points Well, that's just it, Sheena -- as I said to someone else yesterday, they do call it the music *business*, after all. And most things end up being about money in some way. But it's not JUST about that -- it doesn't matter how many copies of LiCM you own, even if you own 20, you'll only get credit for one. So it's not like they're saying you have to go out and buy 50 t-shirts to get your points. And you don't have to buy your CDs and DVDs through them -- those are digitally scanned and validated. But yeah, you do have to buy your tickets and other merch through them so that your purchases can be tracked, so it's an incentive for you to use their company, for sure. Just like your grocery store rewards program gives you discounts or cash back to keep you coming back to them.

Christine
Oh ok .. So it would be like getting things withouth losing points untill some amount of points, and then you'll have to choose what you want and loose the points you spend? Sounds good Yeah...I suspect the scenario will be two people competing for the private gig and the "loser" will end up with the meet and greet. This is probably a really stupid question, but being involved with mika fan club doesn't have anything to do with points right? Yes, that's right. The contest is totally independent of MFC. Guest
Yeah...I suspect the scenario will be two people competing for the private gig and the "loser" will end up with the meet and greet. Probably. But then I really hope for them there are only 2 people competing
lindemfc
-- codes/points are not transferable and can NOT be pooled. This program is meant for individuals, and they will be comparing your codes, which are unique, against their sales records. If they don't match with your name/account, you won't receive credit for the codes. Sorry about that. I've got a question, If you gave your code to someone else, and they've got accepted. So the other person got points for the codes. Is it ok? or are they checking the codes later? and is there still a chance for that person that the points get taken away? sorry for this horrible english but I had no idea how to say it.. norwalk174
Yes, that's right. The contest is totally independent of MFC. That kind of sucks since it won't let me join I wish I would have waited to buy all my Mika stuff until now as well because I don't have anything to buy that I haven't already. robertina
i think they will check later, cause i've been credited the points of a ticket a friend bought for me, and obviously gave me the code cause i paid for it in the end.

dcdeb
We'd have to confirm it but I suspect you need to redeem your points for anything after 100,000. So if you spend 325,000 to get the meet and greet you're going to have to start all over again and you won't be the first one to get 500,000 for the private gig. I written to ask about this specifically, but that's what I assume, too. I've got a question, If you gave your code to someone else, and they've got accepted. So the other person got points for the codes. Is it ok? or are they checking the codes later? and is there still a chance for that person that the points get taken away? sorry for this horrible english but I had no idea how to say it.. I've also asked about this -- I think a lot of people had someone else buy tickets for them, so how do they get the points? That kind of sucks since it won't let me join I wish I would have waited to buy all my Mika stuff until now as well because I don't have anything to buy that I haven't already. Your DVDs and CDs will still be recognized and validated for points if you join. When you say "won't let you join" do you mean Mikasounds in general, or just the Magic Numbers? If the latter, contact them at support@pushentertainment.com If you can't join Mikasounds at all, send me a PM with your email address and I'll pass your info on to their tech guy. RAK1
So, the gig we know is a one time only deal, what about the M&G? Is that a one off also? If so will they be putting up other prizes to replace them?

c'rocktart!
Some of us are having problems logging into the Mikasounds website. I've reset my password and it just refreshes the page without logging me in. Who do we contact about that? Is that still today? They did some tweaks overnight that were supposedto have corrected that. If it's still a problem, please send me a PM with your email address and I'll pass it on to the right person. Deb...I'm having the exactly problem like Sarah. I tried to login so many times that I don't know what to do. What can I, actually, do? PM you? Anyway, thanks for the attention. Just go to your Magic Numbers account, click on "Validate" and then select which CD/DVD you have. It will prompt you to insert the disk, then it will scan the disk and validate it. Et voila! you'll get your points!

You all ought to download the PDF file that has the complete rules and restrictions -- it'll answer a lot of your questions. You'll find it here: http://www.mikasounds.com/points Scroll to the blue link for "Full Terms and Conditions." Deb...I'm having the exactly problem like Sarah. If you bought the physical EP then you can insert the disk in your computer and it will validate, and you'll get your points. If you bought the digital version of the EP, you'll need the code. And no, I did not receive mine yet. This morning the guy told me, "this afternoon." But for some reason... nothing yet.
