From what I've been reading, it's not unheard of for film projects

to be in planning/development for up to to 10 years,

BUT the situation described in the following IS unusual :

Disney Puts a Hold on ORDER OF THE SEVEN

» Collider #Hawk Ostby #Mark Fergus #Michael Gracey

#Order of [...] http://collider.com/order-of-seven-on-hold/168054/

ORDER OF THE SEVEN WAS TO HAVE BEEN FILMED PRIOR TO FILMING

This from a year ago :

Hugh Jackman isn’t just one of the classier acts around Hollywood (see: his “surprise” appearance at Comic-Con 2011), he’s also one of the busiest.

If all goes according to plan, Jackman will appear in the delayed Wolverine 2 (a.k.a. The Wolverine), followed by a turn in Tom Hooper’s adaptation of the Les Misérables musical – and, some time thereafter, portray famed showman P.T. Barnum in the musical biopic The Greatest Showman On Earth.

So it doesn't look as if Mika is involved with this.

I must say, I'm very disappointed. This could have established him as a true composer, and elevated him in the music world.

I think it may be too early to say. There are big gobs of time between developments on this project. If Jackman favored MIKA

in the first place, he may still. With all the uncertainty, it may still

be too early to make an announcement regarding the sound-track.

I`ve also thought of Mika making his career( or just an effort - doesn`t matter) in musicals.

First - when I heard Blame It on The Girls, Pick Up Off the Floor & Toy Boy with their brilliant arrangement. His classical education allows him to do greater music endeavours.

Pick Up off the Floor sounds just like a piece of Gershwin`s classics.

It really is the way he should go now on his career ladder. I can't see him ever getting on the popstar's rungs now. Too many new ones getting attention, others, like Adele, are too big. People like Gary Barlow and Simon Cowell only help their favourites to get publicity, hense Robbie Williams new success.

If I was in Mika's loubs I'd be looking to the movies, or writing a Broadway show.

Mika has absolutely nothing to loose by doing this.

I would love to see him doing music for films! :wub2: Actually, I could see it happening, like a natural step for him.

Of course he would do it amazingly fine. But I really think he "needs" people´s feedback, he needs to interact with the crowd and writing music for films the wouldn´t get that... Even if he decided to do it, I hope he keeps on touring.

Oh, I definitely want him to tour again as soon as possible! Actually, I TRUST it that he needs interacting with the crowd so much he will keep on performing forever... Lol! But you know, he also does small other projects, and writing music for films could fit him well and he might find it interesting.

Hello, I am a fan of Mika and I think he is a great person who transmit happiness, fun, show to people around the world, each person is as each person wants to be. This is the message which Mika teaches us and I agree with him. I love Mika's way.:mika3:

It would be a natural step for him. He's also said he'd love To do it. His only problem is (he said once) he can't actually write music down because of the dyslaxia. But there are ways around that. Someone must have written down the notes of his songs after all. Someone could help him get the notes on the paper if needs be.

it's no problem anymore today, there are computer programs that write down the notes for you. :wink2:

Do you think this movie could have something to do with century man? :fisch:

He's not written a musical, but Century Man is to be in a movie. Mika isn't singing it in the film, someone else is, but it's Mika's song and will be heard in the film, unlike poor Kick-Ass.

I did read in a recent interview, that Mika would love to write a musical, but not yet. So I think it's safe to assume he's not written the Barnum musical.

However, things on the movie front are moving along. He's been in a film with Fanny Ardent. Only a small part, but it's a start. Now he has a song (actually) in a movie, so there is some development in Mika's movie and songwriting career.

I've commented on both websites. One site as Marilyn M and one site as M Mastin.

If people comment on the sites it all adds to the promotion of Mika, and it's easy to do on both sites. I've asked if this is the movie with the Mika song, Century Man in it?

I'm hoping both comments will be accepted, and see no reason why they shouldn't be.
