My brother Fortuné and I yesterday evening. I Love Beirut was a concert in aid of Lebanon and a declaration of my love for this city and this country that I left at the age of one and a half. "I Love Lebanon" is what I want to say after receiving today the Lebanese National Order of Merit - Silver Palm.
Today I think of my Lebanese grandmother, my mother, my aunts, my family, who brought the Lebanese soul to my life at home, in Paris, in London, everywhere I lived.
Citizen of this uprooted world, Lebanon flows through my veins. This reciprocal love, so unexpected and so poignant, makes me happy and very proud of my heritage, especially in these difficult times for Lebanon. Thank you from me and all my family. I Love Beirut, c'était un concert après le traumatisme de la catastrophe du port. I Love Beirut, c'est ma déclaration d'amour à cette ville et ce pays qui j'ai quitté à l'âge d'un an et demi.

As in a small play, ** Pierre Lapointe ** and Mika play the roles of two lovers who end their story. Six hours by plane separate us exposes the painful exchanges between two broken hearts, separated by distance, one living in Paris, the other in Montreal. The song was born from the happy collaboration between Pierre Lapointe and his two Parisian friends: Alma Forrer and Benjamin Porraz . It fits perfectly into the themes that Pierre addresses in this new opus where snow, love and winter are in the spotlight.
Listening to this first extract which features these two great names in song, we can already announce that with the album Chansons hivernales , Pierre Lapointe will once again surprise and move us like no other.
The retro visual that accompanies the song Six hours by plane separate us was produced by renowned Montreal illustrator, Alain Massicotte .

Yes, it's what you've all been waiting for - getting started on the 2019 Yearbook!
We will have the usual sections:
Cover art & Section headers
Timeline
Messages to Mika
Reports (including photos)
Tiny Love Tiny Tour
Revelation Tour
TV and other appearances, including signings
Artwork (including drawings, paintings, poems, photos etc)
Favourite track on MNIMH
Celebrating fandom (fan actions)
Special moments from the tour
MFC friends
As we had both a new album and a tour (or two), we'd like the Yearbook to reflect this. One suggestion is to use the rainbow that Mika had as his Revelation Tour backdrop, so that each section has a different colour background. That of course would mean we need 7 sections, so we could divide the reports into Tiny Love Tiny Tour/ Revelation Tour/ Other appearances (TV, radio, signings?), but we would still need at least one other section. Album reviews? Favourite track on MNIMH?
Any suggestions for the structure would be welcome
Once we've thought of a theme for the Yearbook as a whole, we'll look at possible titles and come up with a shortlist you can vote on. These have already been suggested:

NEW MFC LOGO COMPETITION!

Well, we've had our current MFC logo for several years. Since we've been talking about updating the look of the forum, we decided that it was time to update our logo as well. And who better to come up with a design than one of you?
That's right, we'd like one of our very talented MFC members to come up with a new Mika Fan Club logo.
You might be inspired by some aspect of the Revelation Tour, or the new album artwork, or maybe one of the fan actions – it's really up to you. We don't have too many strict requirements.
The design needs to be suitable for buttons (badges), and possibly for other merchandise too, as well as on the forum itself. That means it has to be something that would look good in a circle-type shape. It also shouldn't be too risque, or contain so many elements that will be hard to see once the design is shrunk down to the size of a 3.5-inch (9 cm) button.
You must include the words “Mika Fan Club” in your design, in the same font or similar to what we use now. You don't need to include the year.
If you use MFC green for the text or the background the CMYK code is C63 M0 Y31 K0, RGB code is R31 G210 B189. Using that color is not required, however.
Don't worry if you think you are not artistic enough, we are more interested in the idea of the design itself at this stage. We can tidy up the artwork later.
Please submit your design as a high resolution jpg file (300 dpi), or as a high resolution pdf to mfclogo@gmail.com. Don’t forget to include your MFC name with your entry.
Closing date for entries: 23.59hrs (UK time) on 31 March 2020

Hi all!
Wanted you all to know that we are looking at ways to improve the Mika Fan Club website -- we're 13 years old and we need a makeover! Well, maybe not a HUGE makeover, but we think there are lots of little things we can do to make things better around here. In addition, Invision, which hosts MFC and is the software that the site uses, will be releasing a new version with a number of improvements soon.
So you might be noticing some changes to some things -- nothing major, don't worry!
For one thing, we've made some tweaks to our home page here:

We have a News Blog there now, which we'll try to keep updated with the latest big news of the day. And we'll also try to add more photos there as well.
Also, we've given the MFC Subtitling Team's videos a little more visibility by adding a special tab along the top of the main menu you see across the top of every page in the dark gray bar.
That link will take you directly to the Subtitling Team's thread and all of their fantastic translated and subtitled videos, making it easier for you to find them. Stasera Casa Mika, the latest Mika interviews and television appearances, all just one click away!
We have a few other changes in mind that we'll be implementing in the next few months, and we're also open to any ideas/suggestions you might have. (Yes, we know, you want an app -- we're looking into it!)

Dates in Japan, China and South Korea postponed

“I am very sad to announce that my shows in China, Japan and South Korea have had to be postponed due to Coronavirus. I have been monitoring the situation closely and really hoped we could still go ahead, but I just don’t want to put any of my fans at risk given the circumstances. I am really disappointed, not only to let so many of you down but because I was so looking forward to being in these incredible cities again, it’s long overdue! But rest assured, my team and I are working hard to find new dates ASAP for me to come back and do even more shows. Watch this space… I hope to have good news for you very soon… Stay safe, M x”
New dates will be announced as soon as possible. Fans who have bought tickets to the postponed shows should contact the ticket vendors for information.
