I stopped being homeschooled when i reached year 13 to complete my last school year actually in a school... that was when i was 17, last year.. Sometimes I get really angry with some things they say. I would have to put a lot of those labels for me. I don't let people know me too much so they are judging me all the time. It's really really annoying. Since I'm like 10 I learnt not to label people, so now I just don't judge people if I don't know them. I just don't make comments of them. I was watching the last comic standing and an Idian lady came up and said something along the lines(i dont remember exactly) of, "When I was on the plane over to America, a lady didn't want to sit next to me because I had a head scarf on. So i said 'I am going to blow up this plane, and it makes a difference if i am 3 rows back from you?'" people are so rude sometimes. musicfreak Posted June 30, 2008 Share Posted June 30, 2008 IN CASE YOU DIDNT READ IT YESTERDAY, I'M REVIVING IT A LITTLE this is the kind of thing everyone needs to read =) you're right everyone should read this!! i hate when people label! esp. emos (i have some emo friends and they're the nicest people i know!) and i know some indians (they make the bestest food ever!) or just foreign people in general. my friend started making fun of this one girl at lunch because she's special and talks to herself. one day she started talking to me about a ring i was wearing and my friend was looking at me as if i was supposed to be rude to her! of course i talked to the girl and answered her question politely. those are the kind of people who won't make it far in life! and another time (sorry just gotta get these off my chest:naughty:) i waved to this guy i really liked at the time and she said (same friend) 'oo who's that, he looks like he smokes pot' just because he was wearing a black shirt!! I really hate stereotyping too... but sometimes the people stereotype themselves... I have a friend who is aetheist and gothic and she says things like "well I shouldn't like this but..." or "it's just not how we are supposed to be..." I have other friends just like her too, for different things. Like one who was desperate to be accepted into the indie/alternative rock cirlce, so she forced herself to not like any other kind of music.... It's so frustrating... I can't stand it. It's like, well nobody else is allowed to stereotype you, but you can shun everthing around you because you want to be a typical specimen of....?
