Loved watching you on the web stream, our own supahstars! And yes, we noticed that the audience was in a coma. That's how the three last-minute rows they shoved into the very front were in Seattle. I'm so glad you got to give Yasmine the book! I have my copy safely on my shelf next to the Songs for Sorrow book. I agree about getting white plectrums. Oh, and your pic with Jimmy is just . Louiza Posted November 3, 2009 Share Posted November 3, 2009 (report part 2) we decided then that we'd wait for mika in the back, where the van was waiting for him, there got the no-photos-info from security and then mika came+signed some stuff (he signed my bag with a heart and "mike x" ), i gave him a get well soon card from the DMFC and asked him why he hadn't sung toy boy, and he said he was tired, so i asked whether it was jetlag and he said yeah he has a really baad jetlag and asked me whether i still had one too from my US trip. at that point i could've explained to him that yes, i still did a bit but it would just keep me awake in the evening and sleep until noon so it would be good for my way home that i was still so awake , but i just said that my jetlag had already gotten better since i arrived already on wednesday. also true. well, what else... during the show i got jimmy's plectrum - actually, no one bothered to catch it (and i was too slow), so it landed behind me on the floor, and i picked it up. then when i met jimmy after the show, i told him i'd ask him to sign it but you wouldn't see it as it was black, and he should get white plectrums so he can sign them, lol. he agreeed and also said sth like sorry for the plectrum being sweaty (in a joking way), i said i didn't mind and asked him for a pic: http://twitpic.com/o3d63 and now i'm off to bed, it's almost 7 am meanwhile. pix tomorrow. Fanny, Melissa and me were near the exit and 2nd row from the stage, so very near even if we were the lastest ones to enter in :-)) Yasmine was behind us all the gig, she was really into the gig, screamed, danced... :-) The show was great, a great energy from the band! Mika moved a lot even with his boot :-)) I looove everyone songs, Happy Ending It was the first time I saw I See You live: what beautiful song The "close your eyes and jump" part, funny A great gig! so special! I can't wait for the next one already ^^ After the gig, we met Yasmine, she took all her time with us and loved the DMFC book (which was really beautiful, you all made a good job ) She was lovely as always :-) We saw Cherisse passing by. And Jimmy was there too! We asked him about his ankle, take a little time to tell him that the show was great even with his boot We waved at them a lot while they were in the van, and they waved at us as well It was a nice moment! Pics from the swr3 website Pics Direct link for a piece of the gig thanx for those! just watched the video, oh damn that was really a strange moment when he joked about the painkillers and the audience stayed totally quiet. it didn't seem so strange at the gig but well i was filming that part (i always try to film the talking, just a habit and i kept forgetting they were streaming it live so they wouldn't cut it out like they did for the munich gig...), so all i did was laugh, and probably half of the radio winners audience didn't understand what he said and the other half just wanted to hear music, whatever... anyway, now i really understand why he said we were so quiet, must've felt quite strange for him. but the one you hear cheering first after he said that was me, lol. yavanna, kanni, graciosa and me really had the best places in that venue, because on the other side+middle of the stage ppl were told to step back because the camera + photographers needed space there to go through. i think that empty space between stage+crowd looked quite strange, and probably didn't exactly help the atmosphere either - that was my impression anyway. btw, something the presenter told us before the gig started, don't know if that was on the live stream as well and if it was, whether someone translated it... she said that the bad thing about mika's ankle wasn't in fact because of what happened when he jumped, but because he finished the LA gig with that hurt ankle. don't know where she had that from, maybe he told her in one of the interviews they did with him backstage... but i can imagine that it's true, after all he still kept jumping+running around in LA after it happened. tzz, why do guys always have to pretend they're tough when the pain tells them to stop?! kate, what did you talk with him about his foot? i wanted to ask him whether he knew how long he'd have to keep that brace, but forgot. did he say anything about it? Are you counting down already? i'm still on a high from yesterday, post-gig-depression hasn't set in yet. plus, i'm really fed up with travelling atm, am happy to be able to stay at home for a while now. ok in a few weeks i'll probably look for the next gig i can travel to but right now i think i might be able to survive until the ireland gigs in feb. just listening to the gig on swr3, pfft they cut out touches you! but i like it that they played the audience's laughter for his painkiller jokes, so you can hear it wasn't in fact that quiet like it sounded in the video! damn that swr3 stream keeps "jumping" for me, is it like that for everyone or just my pc?! anyway, messed up my recording!
