Droopsy Posted November 18, 2010 Share Posted November 18, 2010 Another review ------------------------ Mika y Scissor Sisters desatan colorida fiesta Ni siquiera era necesario que saltara a escena para predecir lo lógico: la primera jornada del festival SUE, realizada anoche ante unas 5 mil personas en Espacio Riesco, sería una velada marcada por el flúor, la estética arcoíris, los tics teatrales, las melodías que se pegan como chicle en el pelo y la pista de baile como centro del mundo. Antes de que Mika se asomara por el escenario, un decorado florido y multicolor apareció para dominar la escenografía y detonar el inmediato chillido de su fanaticada. Un contingente adulto joven generoso en euforia y ovaciones, pero poco numeroso en cantidad (el reducto no se repletó). A cambio y a las 22.30 en punto, el artista de origen libanés que se ha alzado como una de las más efervescentes sensaciones pop del último tiempo apareció completo de blanco y con una pequeña chaqueta azul. Sin rodeos, entendiendo que toda buena juerga no necesita de preámbulos, de inmediato despachó Relax, take it easy, y dejó en claro a lo que venía: un espectáculo anclado en sus gestos ambiguos, su energía desbordante, sus movimientos acrobáticos, como una suerte de Mick Jagger de Disneylandia, y su falsete característico, esa elasticidad vocal que le permite alcanzar tonos agudos que alguna vez le valieron comparaciones con Freddie Mercury. Big girl (you are beautiful) -dedicado a las mujeres robustas y en una muestra de letras que hermanan frivolidad con ironía- fue el segundo golpe y el público ya estaba rendido. Mika respondía agradeciendo en un más que correcto español ("es el idioma que voy a hablar toda la noche", adelantó), mientras desfilaban cuatro bailarinas y un zapato gigante se inflaba hasta llegar al público. Pero, más allá de su personaje, su propuesta artística no es puro golpe de efecto: en un show de una docena de canciones, y que se extendió por casi 90 minutos, Mika intenta empujar su música hacia un sofisticado pastiche que toma lo mejor de los géneros bailables de las últimas décadas. Hay un abanico amplio de arreglos, una fórmula efectiva, una banda de cuatro músicos con habilidad para ejecutar los cambios de ritmo (pese a que, como se ha hecho característico, el sonido de Espacio Riesco estuvo lejos de ser pulcro) y una fijación por variantes que van desde la música disco y el glam, hasta el sonido dance de los 80. Por su parte, Scissor Sisters, el grupo encargado de cerrar, apareció pasada la medianoche y mantuvo el tono: pop destinado al agite sudoroso y una ambientación donde también campea el rosado y la vibra kitsch, aunque la efervescencia bajó en decibeles. A las 22:30 Mika abrió su primer show en Chile con "Relax, take it easy", temprano ejemplo de su inclinación por melodías pop y por la interpretación en falsete, con el que en vivo no falla una nota. En 80 minutos el cantante inglés nacido en Beirut tuvo al público cantando y bailando cada éxito que despachó, en compañía de cinco músicos. Para el final Mika dejó éxitos como "We are golden" y su carta de presentación en el mundo del pop, "Grace Kelly". "Santiago, ¿estás listo para bailar? ¿Quieres cantar?", fue uno de los primeros saludos en español del músico, que puso un telón de flores sobre el fondo del escenario. I wonder why are hubbies always on the way, when it comes to MIKA?
