the more i listen to this song, the more i'm convincing myself that He's sing "when I fall to your feet"

the unintelligble line could be "You're shot and leavin' me raw" which would make a wee bit more sense than "Your shot and leavin' me raw"

"Put your lips on me" ...He doesn't where to put them :teehee::blush-anim-cl: maybe He could change it to "Put your lips on mine"

i'm still crushing on this song so hard :mf_lustslow: i can't wait to hear the studio version!

and One Foot Boy was not that easy, either.:teehee:

Yes I still don't know what he's saying during the chorus :sneaky2:

Oh gosh yeah, first time I heard that one live, it just sounded like mindless mumbling:naughty:

Yeah we couldn't even hear 90% of the words when we were 10 feet away from him. :naughty:

What if it is originally 'fall to my knees' he just mixed it up like the he did with the personal pronouns in Rain in January, when instead of 'you' he accidentally said 'I' when singing about that man someone found. ...:teehee:

I thought of that, too -- but I still would argue that "fall to my feet" makes

sense, even though the common expression is "fall to my knees." When

your body falls down, it falls to where your feet are -- not necessarily

the same as falling on your knees. (Mika, help me out here... I'm trying to

defend you, come on!) :roftl:

I simply can't tell. I've listened to those two lines a hundred times now.

I've written it out phonetically and said it out loud to see if something

clicks. You. Shot. And. Leave. In. Me. Raw.

For a second I thought maybe it was: You shot and leave me in awe.

Then I watched the after-party video again and thought maybe it was

"You shot and leave me to fall."

But no, neither seems to be right. His mouth definitely seems to

form an R.

Followed by: Now I know you're amazing.

I can't make sense of it. (Mika, please, throw us a bone -- I'm just

asking for ONE word! Not even a whole line!) :naughty:

"Put your lips on me" ...He doesn't where to put them :teehee::blush-anim-cl: maybe He could change it to "Put your lips on mine"

Oh, he knows where to put them -- in the high quality video you can see

he clearly points to his own mouth. :blush-anim-cl:

It took MONTHS to decipher Good Gone Girl. :naughty:

Yeah, and I'm still not convinced that the so-called "official" lyrics are

right in places! :wink2:

yeah, good thing too! but when i'm not watching the video... it just makes me think shameful things & nobody wants that, right? :teehee: this song's just too beautiful for that type of naughtiness!

Last time I was here we were talking about phonetics...

This one is for non-english speakers...

Tell me the truth, Mika at 1.03 signs:

".. Ain´t got no love... ain´t got no CHICKEN.."

:mf_rosetinted:

Well, as not native English speaker, I clearly hear Chicken. Especially taking into account, that it follows after Love.

Some people state that he sings Ticket, but I don't see any sence in it (and don't hear it at all).

So, I prefer to hear the Chicken variant :chkn:

I used to listen to that song A LOT some time ago, and I never heard 'Chicken' in it.

Yeah, it´s ticket... but this is Mika, so I think I´m gonna listen "chicken" every time...:aah:

But Mika's lyrics differ from Google's!! Of course the original won't be with chicken, because Nina Simone had no idea about MFC jokes. And Mika knows them way too well :wink2:
