It was AMAZING!!!! There's no words just how great it was!!!

I tweeted the setlist earlier tonight. Maybe someone could put it in here.

Will write my little report tonight.

here's your setlist photo, t4p! https://twitter.com/perhonita/status/268535030630973441/photo/1

i'm really surprised that obviously he skipped happy ending for heroes! thought that was one of the songs he'd never stop playing at gigs! before which song did he do the band introduction then?

but i know some people who'll be happy he threw out BIOTG. :teehee: actually i like it, think he could throw out blue eyes or lola instead... :fisch: but i've heard from several other fans that they don't want to hear it anymore, so your wish was mika's command. :naughty:

Awww, I love Blue Eyes, and Lola :wub2: I love Happy Ending, too that's probably one of my favorite songs ever. BUT I've heard it live often enough that I wouldn't mind if he skipped it in favor of something new, like Step with Me, or Overrated, or even Kids. Heroes still does nothing for me. The lyrics are very moving, but the song as a whole? I can take it or leave it. :dunno:

Thanks Alice for posting! :thumb_yello:

t4p! :thumb_yello:

hmm, judging from the video, i don't think i need to see it live. :teehee: nothing against it, but HE is more special imo. :dunno:

and who are those people on stage?

Wondering the same

Oh my, it must have been beautiful! Listening to Heroes live is my dream too! :wub2:
Same here :wub2:

Now I at least know that it's Paris you should go if you want to hear the new songs.

yeah, he could skip almost any other song for step with me, in this case i wouldn't miss HE either. :naughty: nah well, i'm just impatient because he has done it in amsterdam at the showcase and it's one of my fave songs of the album so i'd LOVE to hear it live at least once.

The gig was incredibly amazing!! Right now I can't even describe it... I loved everything about it, and yes hearing Heroes for the first time is one of the reasons for it! And also that he sat down at the edge of the stage to sing EMD right in front of me :swoon:

and who are those people on stage?

It was so crazy that he let people from far abroad come on stage

This is the first time I am writing an official report ... so forgive me if it's not so good ...

I participated in that competition on Facebook where you could win tickets for Paris.

On Sunday afternoon my sister in law called me and asked whether I had checked FB already ... I won a pair of tickets for the show on Tuesday!

Monday afternoon I received an e-mail from the promoter saying that I won and that we would receive wristbands for a meet & greet after the show .... waaaaaawww, I really went crazy when I read that!

So, Tuesday morning I went to the shop to buy some good Belgian beer and then we drove to Paris by car (my sister in law drove, I wouldn't dare ;-) ).

When we arrived there around 4 PM we went to the box office to get our tickets. We were a little disappointed when they told us that we had to come back at 7:30 PM to get them ... like this we had no chance to queue, as we had to get the tickets first.

We went eating and returned to the venue a little before 7 PM. The doors opened around 7:25 and we got our tickets AND wristbands. By the time that we had our tickets and everything was arranged there was no more chance to get in one of the front rows, but there were boxes ("loge") at both sides of the venue which were a bit higher and where we could see the stage very well, so we chose that.

Mika started around 9 PM, playing all his older hits (Grace Kelly, Relax, Love Today ...), as well as many new songs (Stardust, The Origin of Love, Heroes, Celebrate ...). It was a real amazing atmosphere, the crowd was really going mad. I felt a bit sorry that I wasn't in it, but as it was very hot in there, it was maybe better, because I felt a little dizzy and maybe this would have been worse if I was IN the crowd.

When the show was finished we had to wait inside the venue. There were about 20 people who had a wristband. I think that we waited for almost an hour and then we were asked to come backstage. We heard him laughing already before we could see him ;-) and then he was there: friendly and nice like always, very relaxed and he took a lot of time to say hello to everyone, have a little chat, sign all kind of stuff and to take pictures. Every time I see Mika after a show (ok, this was the first "official" Meet & Greet I had, but I saw him outside the venue's before) I think by myself that it is so very unique that such a great star takes so much time for his fans, is so polite and respectful. I appreciate him so much for that! Well, I gave him the beer I brought and he seemed to be honestly happy with it "ah, the good stuff" he said ;-) ... in return, I got a picture of him with me and a signature on a t-shirt ...

I am still very impressed ... and will never forget that evening :-)

I'm still not over how amazing the second Paris gig was...:jawdrop: Without any doubt this must have been one of the best Mika gigs I have ever done. :wub2:

Nina, Fran & moi had a great spot second row center so we were really in the middle of it all. The atmosphere had reached a fever pitch so early in the show and Mika seemed to be really into the gig as well. I have hardly seen him so happy and spontaneus at gigs. He instantly reacted to everything happening around him. A LOT of chatting, whistling :aah:, involving the band (e.g. Max dancing on the piano :naughty:) & the choir (at one point he was actually standing amongst the ploka dot choir members), pulling up fans from far away countries up stage (How sweet is that?! :wub2:), singing a French song everyone was singing along (What was it btw? Didn't know it.), doing crazy dance moves, sitting at the front of the stage, etc. The show was just so full of energy. Seriously, Mika is just getting better and better. If this is possible at all. And the band is totally diving into the little Mika world more and more - which is a good thing. :thumb_yello:

The new intro of "Un soleil mal luné" was very impressive. I just love this song. Definitely one of my favourites from the third album. Doriand was smiling so much during EMD and Karen when he was singing these songs on stage with Mika. People were going crazy. "Heroes" was of course another highlight. It sounds great live. Paris loves Mika. Mika loves Paris. And this was definitely not my last Mika Paris gig. :wub2:

It was fun chatting with everyone in the queue and after the show. It's always such a very important part of the whole Mika experience. :thumb_yello:

That was nice to meet you on the 12th :thumb_yello:

It is always the same when Mika's making 2 gigs one after one, the 2nd one is always better (like in Bercy), he feels more confident probably :aah:

Usually I can go to only one gig, so next time I'll book the second one directly :teehee:

mamaake, could you make your pictures smaller or add them as links? The stretched screen makes it very hard to read. Thanks.

Sorry, didn't know how to make them smaller, as I had to insert a link ... and on the site where they are now I want to remain the size, so I changed it to links.

Hi Marion! It was lovely meeting you before the first gig! The second day we were told to come at 7 so when I arrived you guys were ready to enter the venue so I missed you. Hope to see you (and all the other lovely MFC-ers I met in Paris) very soon.

The song you mentioned is Heigh Ho from Snow White but in French.

Trying to organize my thoughts and start writing my report, those two days were super special:wub2::wub2:
