  1. Exactly, it's just small pieces of coloured paper. We did the same in Carcassonne 2022 - and it's basically the small (and more environment-friendly) version of the 2019 fanaction at Bercy, where we had A4 papers to create a rainbow (if it had worked out ) What a waste, thinking about it now, lol! 😅 Actually for Carcassonne I had stolen this idea of the small papers from a Harry Styles concert. It's so much more practical!
  2. I've moved your discussions about the general tour setlist here, so we have them in one place. Personally I agree that it's a shame he seems to want to throw out a lot of the French songs for the international gigs. He thought with his French album he wouldn't be able to tour internationally, and then he got all those gig offers - and now he wants to skip the French songs of the current album?! And no songs of MNIMH either, so except for the few new French songs he keeps (and Yoyo) it would be almost like the 2015 setlist again - why?! He did say in interviews that he wants to have a good mix of old and new songs, and I think that with Relax, GK, Big Girl, Happy Ending, WAG, AOW... there really are a lot of the old songs in there. So far the mix was ok, but if he really adds now all the songs that we heard him rehearse at soundchecks - Popular Song, Billy Brown, Rain, Lollipop, instead of some of the new songs, I really think that's too many old songs. If at least he added Tiny Love again instead... but well. Maybe I'm just worrying too much and he'll only replace 1 or 2 of the French songs. I'm sure he'll keep the title track Apocalypse Calypso (tho imo it's not one of the greatest songs live, but without playing the title track, the title of the tour doesn't make much sense I guess) and I assume also Bougez, it's such a great show opener! . As for Sweetie Banana, I suppose he'll play it again at the postponed gig in Brest? Would be strange if he did a different setlist there than he had originally planned. Besides, I'm not too sad about him throwing out that one. Moi, Andy et Paris, I like it, but if Andy didn't like it in the first place that Mika wanted to play it live then it's a nice gesture of Mika to Andy to skip that one and I totally accept that. I hope he keeps Jane Birkin, it's addictive - and I hope he keeps 30 Secondes - he can sing the English version if he wants to have less French songs, I'd love that. Also I don't think he can skip C'est La Vie, it's kind of a key moment of the show and was his key moment of the French album. As for Elle me Dit, he rarely played it for international audiences, so he can easily replace that one with another song. I assume he'll play it in Brussels, but maybe not in the UK. I guess tonight after Amsterdam we'll know more.
  3. I think there wasn't one in Geneva yesterday. Thought for Amsterdam it was Syreeta, but maybe I'm mixing it up with Brussels.
  4. I reposted this on my DMFC Insta a few days ago, seems to be frontrow in Block 21 - maybe you can ask her if she still has them?
  5. It's ok, thanks - I booked for 15-20 people, there's 20 on the list, so a few less doesn't matter.
  6. Paper hearts fanaction in Amsterdam tonight for Talk About You: (Sorry, only just saw this, as I haven't been following the Amsterdam thread)
  7. Still available (reduced now). It's a standing ticket.
  8. Hmm, interesting... he said in Luxemburg that all of what he keeps saying re. "mean lovesongs are the real lovesongs because most lovesongs are about breakups or imaginary loves" is just for trying to explain to Andy why he sings this song in front of thousands of people he doesn't know. Tbh, I was surprised he put it on the setlist in the first place, as Andy didn't seem too happy about it. Maybe he sees it differently now? Or maybe he just wants to test which of the French songs his fans would miss the least? 😅 Did he sing another song instead of it, for example Billy Brown again? Or was it just 18 songs then?
  9. I've booked a table now on Monday at 9pm for 15-20 people at this Tapas Bar near Checkpoint Charlie: https://mundo.berlin/zimmerstrasse/en/ (unfortunately the website doesn't work for me in every browser, not sure why...). It was an online booking on their website and I got an immediate e-mail confirmation, so I assume/hope it worked. After booking I saw that they would have a cocktail happy hour until 9pm - so if any of you want to get a cocktail for the happy hour price, either let me know, then I'll try to call them and change the booking to 8pm (I probably can't be there yet by that time, but if you know you'll arrive sooner, I can send you my name and the reservation number, so you can already take the place). Or maybe it'd be enough if you arrive a few minutes earlier and already order your cocktail before 9pm. I hope it's ok for everyone who wants to come to the meetup.
  10. I can't order any more earth balloons now, but if you want to send me more money, I can buy some more heart balloons at Tedi on Saturday. It's 3€ for a pack of 20 white ones and 3,55€ for a pack of 20 red ones.
  11. @Michelle Blondet did a few IG lives earlier and uploaded them on her profile: https://www.instagram.com/michelle.blondet?igsh=MXNqdDd0eDV3dWN5dg== The videos are far away, but I heard that Mika did 30 Secondes again tonight.
  12. It's no stupid question, no worries. It's the list in the events where you can click on "going" if you're attending this gig. Usually we have a link to it in the first post of a gig thread, that's the easiest way to find it. But you can also find it when you click on "events" in the menu and search on the calendar for the event you're looking for. The abbreviation RSVP comes from French, "Repondez s'il vous plait", which means "please respond". Think this a little further. You need to draw a line SOMEwhere, otherwise it'd just be moving the whole queue to another entrance and let everyone in earlier, which really would miss the point. If you use the numbers instead of the RSVP list and say the first 50 numbers get in earlier, then you'd get "but why 50, why not 60 or 100?!" "I'm #51, it's so unfair!" "I don't accept that the fanclub is imposing the numbering system on me, but I want to go in earlier too!". There will ALWAYS be complaints, there is no objectively "right" way to do this, just different opinions. The entry at Bercy was chaos the 2 times I had standing places there (2010 & 2016). They let fans inside, but held them back with a barrier tape and a security guard at the entrance to the arena. When it was at least 100 or 200 standing there and the barrier tape was about to rip, the security stepped aside, and then everyone started pushing and running at once. It was chaos, in 2016 for Mika loves Paris I remember people fell and got stepped on. I had been queueing for half the night and ended up 3rd row at the main stage, with Mika being on the B-Stage most of the time and me just looking at his back from far away. 🤡 I heard it was much better & organized this time - don't know if they finally learned from their mistakes or if it was because of the situation in Lyon, that they were warned... anyway I'm very glad for everyone who was there that it wasn't like in Lyon.
  13. I'm sure that if we posted about it in an Insta story, people on Tiktok and X would complain. Or those who happen to be offline for those 24 hours, or are not interested in checking the MFC stories all the time. If there is a numbers system for the queue, those who don't like it will complain. We had that often enough as well, queueing numbers being defined as oppression by the fan club, tho it's usual practice at many gigs. We didn't invent that. In short, it's simply not possible to please everyone. Then, maybe you noticed (or not?) that the one you are mainly attacking here, @dcdeb, had nothing of this early entry, as she lives thousands of miles away from Europe. Except a lot of work to get it organized, a few thank you's and some people personally attacking her for trying to help other fans. I'm always very surprised to read from people who are registered here "I'm not an MFCer". That's the point, all you need to do to be part of this fan community is register, and you ARE an MFCer, just like any of us, with all the same rights. The right to not give a sh*t, or the right to inform yourself and take part in the things we offer here, for free. If you attend 2 Mika gigs per year and want to make sure you don't miss anything, all you need to do is RSVP and check the forum a bit more regularly in the few weeks / days before the gigs you're attending. MFC is not the secret club you might think it is, it's not just fans Mika's age and older, it's simply all the fans who want to have a feeling of community and enjoy the benefits that come with being part of a community. And the benefits that come with being a member of the artist's official fanclub. Stop seeing it as "us vs them", that's not what it is. If you want to help make the forum a bit more accessible for younger fans, you're very welcome to make suggestions, to explain it to others, to create lists of links to relevant content, to help subtitle videos, so international fans can understand Mika's interviews. It's easy to join this community, and then it's up to you how much or how little you get involved, how much you put into it and how much you pull out of it. This place here is not just a discussion forum, it's the biggest archive you'll find about Mika. And imo much easier to search than Youtube or other social media channels, where the algorithms keep changing and being adjusted to the way you use the platform. Here we have no tracking cookies that follow your every move online, we don't have ads, we don't want to sell you anything, or collect your data to make money from it. We're simply here because we want to support Mika and bring his fans together, instead of this "us vs them" attitude that unfortunately I often see on social media (and that gets pushed by social media, because drama and hate get more clicks than community and love). We're not investing millions of $ (or even just one cent) to find out the best ways of how to keep people on our platform, how to influence people with psychologic tricks to increase engagement. And yes, that's why it's harder to use than a social media platform. It doesn't play tricks to your brain. So, just a few reasons why this forum and this community is very much appreciated by many fans as well as by Mika himself. This forum was here before social media existed in its current form, we use social media as a tool to inform people about the existence of this website, and to promote Mika, and if social media ever dies or gets replaced by the next big thing, the MFC forum will still be here. A bit of consistency is good in these fast moving times.
  14. I don't think we can hand over the cake to Mika in person. We'll give it to someone of his team or of the venue, so it'll wait for him in his dressing room. If we're lucky, he'll post about it, or thank us in some way... but he doesn't always do that.
  15. So, as for the balloon fanaction for Happy Ending in Berlin - I now have: 40 white LED balloons 100 earth balloons 180 red and white heart balloons. Are any of you bringing more? The heart balloons are available at TEDI in packs of 20. Are any of you in the seated places and could take care of the "distribution" in that area? (I think it's enough to put the balloons in a zip bag, write on the bag to take one and what song it is for, and hand that around)
  16. Added you! What you prefer. please DM me how much we can expect from you, so I know what to plan in. I've updated the first post. Finishing the card this weekend, so if you still want to contribute (and be on the card), please send the money until tomorrow (or let me know how much I can plan in for you, if you prefer to give it to me in Berlin).
  17. The easiest way to find the RSVP list for a certain gig is the link in the first post of a gig thread. If we forget to put it there, don't hesitate to remind us... but you can also find it in the calendar, in "events" - click on an event and you should be able to see the list. Then you only need to choose "going".
  18. What I really wish you'd understand is that all of this (the fanclub, the forum, our social media accounts etc, and even the advantages we get) is NOT about feeling privileged, but about community, about a sense of togetherness, about supporting Mika, and that EVERYONE is very welcome to join. You don't have to be friends with anyone, but of course we'd love if you were open to make new friends and talk with people, instead of seeing Mika's official fanclub as your enemy. But even if you don't, and you don't want to post here, you can still enjoy the "privileges" like this early entry or the yearly anniversary giveaways. If there's any problems with navigating the site, we're all here and happy to help and answer questions. We're working on improving the site, we're working on how-to videos that make it easier to understand how it all works. And I'm sorry that we're not faster with this... believe me, I'd love to do this as a full time job instead of just being able to work on it when I have some spare time. Anyway... yes, of course I understand your disappointment of seeing other fans go in ahead of you when you've been queueing all day. I've been there. Some random phone company's priority entry for their customers, some fans who made friends with Mika's crew and were let in ahead of others (luckily that was years ago), some bad organization by security staff - or, at other gigs than Mika's, people who paid hundreds of € to get early entry. At Mika's gigs you don't need to be rich to get that. You don't need to be anyone's friend. But what you need to do to join whatever privileges MFC gets is read and learn about a few basics like the RSVP lists on this website, and ask if it's not clear to you. You can't expect us, a small team of volunteers, to collect every fan on every social media platform and serve them every detail of what's happening on MFC in their preferred format. Many fans are "against" something. There are fans who don't follow Mika's French projects because they don't like the French language. There are fans who don't follow his Italian projects because they don't like Italian people. There are fans who don't follow his symphonic or soundtrack projects, because they don't like classical music. There are fans who don't follow Mika as a judge on casting shows because they don't like casting shows. There are fans who stay far from Mika's official fanclub because they don't like to interact with "old" people on "old" platforms. But in all of these cases, things are like they are, and those who are deprecative instead of acceptive are unfortunately mostly hurting themselves with it - especially if they realize that they missed out on something with their rejection. As for the matter of this early entry, if you want to understand how these things work, it helps to read this post - which is specifically about arranged MFC Meet&Greets, but also applies to other privileges we might get at a certain gig:
  19. Mika stories Not sure if this one's from Bercy or Luxemburg? Luxemburg GLhSFxUa933YReYEALyFxVjab5ICbvQ5AAAF.mp4 55406BD0207690C1AF9BF74A5C5BC684_video_dashinit.mp4
  20. I don't know if it's in fact earlier - the way I understand it, it's just a separate queue?
  21. There's another pic on the front page of the (free) paper: Yes, I also was sad that he skipped 30 Secondes for Billy Brown. I mean, I expected him to do BB at the London show, as it was so well received there the last time... but 30 Secondes was my fave of the French songs he played, very sad to think that I might not hear it live again. They also rehearsed Popular Song and Lollipop at the soundcheck ... 2 more songs that I've heard live often enough and don't miss at all. 🙈
  22. Usually they cut the talking - even for the Mika loves Paris DVD they did that. The Bercy show of the Revelation Tour 2019 was also on TV, not sure if they cut any songs... you can compare it here if you have time: TV recording: Recording of the full show by Celine:
  23. At the French gigs it was the support act at 19:45 and Mika at 20:30, so I'm not sure... maybe we'll know more after the gigs in Brussels & Amsterdam?
  24. In Paris they've reduced the price to 40€ again. https://www.instagram.com/stories/mikafanclubtoo/3331744300080299556?igsh=cGNpcWlka3VpN2t1 ... a bit unfair imo towards those who paid 50€. Maybe they didn't sell enough at the higher price? But in Paris everything is expensive, and it's a huge venue, I'm sure they could've charged 50 there. I just hope for the UK fans that there'll be enough books left for the UK gigs.
