So, I think the second chorus is this:

When you're out in rain

you're out in rain

when you're playin' in rain

you're out in rain

when you rain(?) in rain

you're out in rain

when you're out in rain

you're out in rain

when you're out in rain

you're out in rain

when you're playin' in rain

you're out in rain

when you're out in rain

you're out in rain

when you're out in rain

you're out in rain

What do you guys think?

:shocked:you read my mind! i've been thinkin those were the words since the first time i heard the song, but everyone was like "oh it's let it/let in" but i always heard "out" :naughty: thanx for posting your lyrics!!:wink2:

I still cant understand most of the chorus.

That guy pronounces words too unclear!:naughty:

I've heard several versions of the song and it's still not clear what he sings in the churus.. Is it...

When it rains and rains... or... Let it rain and rain?????

I hope he's reading this thread. He JUST needs to pronounce the words in the churus better... and my other advice is... Print the lyrics to the songs and include them with the album, please Mika!

i think he doesnt and i hope he doesnt because its a total waste of time and its full of XXXX round here ( but hey im an fan i need to pop in sometimes right)

to me he doesnt have to " pronounce" the words "better", i love it this way and i dont care what he says exactly because i understand it perfectly and its beautifully said, i love the sound of it, no matter what the words are.

I'm just listening to it now..the chorus sounds like "When it rain and rain"...which is not gramatically correct Mika :naughty:

Obviously it isn't that. But it sounds like it.

lol, i know...when people started coming up with all these interpretations, I was like: I thought it was just "rain and rain and rain and rain.." :roftl: But I'm happy if it's a bit more complex than that, haha

Um well I like when he squels through the chorus, makes the Mika for me.

Thanks for all the links. It's nice to hear the new stuff as soon as this as far as down here.

So to clear up confusion, we contacted Saranayde about the lyrics to the chorus.

You know how sometimes, the easiest things become so complicated because your brain tries to make it more complex than it is? That's what happened with Rain.

We didn't ask her about the lyrics to the verses, but the chorus is simply "When it rain, rain rains" - although, I don't hear Mika pronounce the "s" in "rains".

Check it out, it's clear on mellody's recording from Amsterdam:

---------------------

Is it really necessary

Every single day

You make me more ordinary

In every possible way

This ordinary mind is broken

You did it and you don't even know

You're leaving me with words unspoken

You better get back cause I'm ready for

More than this

Whatever it is

Baby, I hate days like this

I'm caught in a trap

I can't look back

Baby I hate days like this

When it rain, rain, rain, it rain, rain, rain

When it rain, rain, rain, it rain, rain, rain

When it rain, rain, rain, it rain, rain, rain

When it rain, rain, rain, it rain, rain, rain

More than this, baby I hate days like...

Thanks Mana! And Saranayde! :huglove:

It's an amazing song.

I think I like it better as "When you let it rain, you let it rain" though...

It sounds a little silly as "When it rain, rain, rains..."... In my mind.

And also, yes, it isn't gramatically correct. :bleh:

It's still a gorgeous song though, no doubt about that :wink2:
