CazGirl
According to The News of the World STEO'S SONG Tragic star Stephen Gately secretly recorded a duet with MIKA before he died. A Boyzone source told me: "Everyone is going to want to hear this song now. Nobody knew about it at the time but his fans are going to be desperate for Mika to release it." Naectegale
Who's stephen gately? Singer with Boyzone - he dropped dead suddenly a few weeks back. Mika says he wrote a song for them, but hasn't mentioned a duet http://www.mikafanclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20344&highlight=gateley

CazGirl
Mika and Stephen Gately done a duet? Caz, is your grammar correct? do I have to take a picture of the article to prove that they actually sung a duet? Guy, I thought that they might have got mixed up with "I Gave It All Away" too, but they said Mika and Stephen done a duet, not Mika and Boyzone. CazGirl
"did" or "do" but seeing as he is dead, did Or maybe "had done" a duet.. did and done are both past tense though? "Mika and Stephen had done a duet" ....hmm...I guess that one's more correct than mine lol God darn the Essex in me!
xlindee
"did" or "do" but seeing as he is dead, did Or maybe "had done" a duet.. Shouldn't it be ''have done'' then?
Mika4Life13
Shouldn't it be ''have done'' then? No that implies stephen is still alive, and they only did it a little while ago. If it was "had done" that's saying, had done it before he died. Have done it before he died, doesn't make sense.

CazGirl
Well, I dunno:dunno:I'm not a native English speaker, you 2 should know. Should, but apparently not The English Language is a complex one. I guess my title is rather informal, but because I've often said that sentence like that ("they done this, they done that") I guess I've never seen anything wrong with it

You sound like a native english speaker, you's so pro, gurl. Oh, I meant to quote Caz. It's so that done is an uhm..how do you say ''voltooid deelwoord'' in english again? And before that you always need to add a form of ''have'' right? So ''They done this'' is already wrong anyway, right? Edit: Google translator says ''voltooid deelwoord'' is ''past participle''.
